...My research post sudden-need for divorce representation led to a consult w/well-regarded by peers, well-reviewed Ms. Jennifer Fox in Richmond, VA. Charisma and intellectual gravitas was my immediate impression. I made my "case"/communicated the financial groundwork from my dozen documents in hand. Ms. Fox was patient, then informative, relating the legal parameters for seperation leading to divorce, "amicable" or otherwise. Consumately professional, she intimated that I may be better served by Ms. Stephanie A. Montgomery, an attorney with a powerful skillset in divorce law, combined with passion and compassion regarding the protection and care of her clients. Ms. Fox had worked alongside Ms. Montgomery, and explained her advocacy also due to my divorce occuring geographically being in her jurisdiction, in case "amicable" went sideways, and local court apearences became neccesary. (meaning billable costs of travel-time for Ms. Fox to Williamsburg should be considered a factor) Ms. Fox "suggested" I speak less..let Ms. Montgomery's own professional intellectual agility do me the most service. ( This turned out to be great advice personally and professionally) Second consult appointment happened in few days. ...Thankfully, the 5 minute drive to Ms. Montgomery's location was a relief, and her office desk staff and paralegal were warm and cordial, in minutes, Ms. Montgomery escoted me to her adjacent office. I experienced a wave of relief, that "you're right were you're supposed to be" in that moment, her prescence/vibe, vocal tone and impression on point...effortlessly. I comfortably listened as the facts and "game-board" were confirmed. My then wife had retained counsel some months ago, and had produced a financial spreadsheet and preliminary legal agreement Stephanie could analyze for their intent and stategy. There were several terms/demands not even legally appropriate involving shared married expenses, even in the face of opposing party's superior income and net worth. Ms.Montgomery then began the process to "qualify" my wants/needs/intent. Within minutes she had formed a viable counter-proposal to return to opposing council and client. I left relieved and finally in posiitive spirits. My situation required a few office visits for signatures on dox, I was efficiently updated by Keidra A. Frazier, Ms. Montgomery's paralegal. It was always so pleasant to visit, to see the staff and get the ear of Stephanie on occasion, asking advice on this or that (home for sale deed was in wife's name)...the trust she inpires is priceless itself. Mr. Moghul represented me in a landlord-tenant dispute. I was the tenant defendant and the trial was held in a completely pro-landlord jurisdiction. Despite the odds, Mr. Moghul stuck to the facts and was a zealous advocate from day one through a (too long) day of trial. The opposing counsel falsified at least one document yet Mr. Moghul remained his true ethical self. Although I ended up paying as much or more than the underlying suit, Mr. Moghul could not have been a better attorney for me. Ethics still matter, even in mid-2019. Mr. Moghul is that rare combination of ethical + energetic. If anything, he seemed to get more passionate as the day of trial grew long. I highly recommend Mr. Moghul whether you are on the plaintiff or defendant side.

Tonya Gibbs Penn is the exception, not the rule. Not only did she have tremendous compassion with our case, but she also proved to be a brilliant attorney who demonstrates a true interest in her clients and their cases. We live in Nashville and wanted someone to represent us who would really care about our case. Trust was an important factor because our case was in Virginia and we’re in Tennessee, about ten hours from court. Ms. Penn not only made sure that we understood the specifics of our current case, but she also explained what we would need to expect going forward. I was charged with reckless driving for going 87 in a 70. Despite my prior speeding ticket, Mr. Taylor reassured me that we had a fighting chance after many lawyers that I spoked with told me I had no chance. I had a ticket for reckless driving (rockbridge). After listening my case , Mr Taylor made a perfect assessment w/o false expectation nor overstatement. He assigned to me different actions and followed up with me directly o through his team. I have been working for months with him and his team to have the best outcome possible from the court case. Mr. Pagano along with the other staff at the firm are extremely professional and courteous. He listens to you and answers every question you may have. He is very straight forward and down to business but very down to Earth at the same time. I was very nervous and kind of embarrassed when consulting with him about a Chapter 7 but he was very understanding and walked me through the entire process. I was charged with a show cause for breaking a peace bond. I honestly had no idea what I had done to break the complainant's peace since I purposely had nothing to do with her and I had moved over 100 days after she made the complaint. Jason took my case and worked diligently to discover the reason. He found that the reason was unjustified. In court, Jason discredited the complainant and found that everything she said was untrue and the case was dismissed. Jason was very understanding of my mental state as I dealt with this trying time. He was compassionate and he and his team reassured me often that I had nothing to worry about. He definitely proved in court that justice and honesty always wins.
