Comran is very responsive and get things done fast. I am a claims examiner for workers' compensation claims in CA. Tried to get a phone to call to see if I could hire or see if we would be a good fit. Just wanted to charge $375 for initial consult. I asked if that would go towards retainer and clerk did not know. I was offered email with info that’s generic? Then she said best of luck and have a great day? Not really the type of server I was expecting.
I did not necessarily want to speak with attorney just yet. A paralegal would have been fine. Was willing to sign a retainer so long it was worth pursuing.
Not the best way to sale the firm services.

I had an amazing experience working with Jonah.
I had a small, but complex legal issue that resulted in a warrant being issued for time I had already served, and left the state for. Our company was sick of paying higher and higher work company premiums and our claims went on forever
We consulted with John and we went over our cases and insurance stuff and he came up with a plan
He took over the legal handling of all our litigation and it took a year but he got them all settled and closed
Our X-mod went down from 2.5 to 1.0 and premiums are half what they were before we hired him.

I have a small company (35 employees) and had a claim and we submitted it to our work comp carrier only to be told our coverage was no longer in force. The next thing we knew we had investigators from the Div of Industrial Relations all over us and some agency, uninsured fund, joined us and liened all my equipment and my home. Mr. Miller we after our insurance company and proved we had insurance and they had to handle the claim and Mr. Miller even got back most of the money we paid him from the insurance company.

in 1996 I was referred to Ms. Brown by several medically retired L.E. Officers. I was going through hell with my city on Worker's Comp, that's until I retained Ms. Brown, everything then did a complete 180 degree I didn't feel any longer stressed about my medical benefits or the city's workers comp. trying to do their best not to give benefits and at one point forcing me to retire. When I say she is no nonsense, she looked at my file and told me; She's never seen a more accident prone person in my profession this was right in front of my wife too. She was even more aggressive and truly professional when dealing with the city and it's workers comp carrier.
I did have to retire but on my terms and she made sure I was taken care of 100% medically afterwards. I recommend her without a doubt to any public safety person in need of an Excellent WC attorney!

Her protection of law enforcement and fire personnel is great.
When you are faced with a disabliliy, loss of your chosen profession, loss of your life-style and retirement, Linda is the one-friend you can count on.
The "Defense" can hire a team of lawyers, claim administrators, private investigators and so-called medical experts. You, the injured person, can only count of one person. In my case, that was Linda , ...and I didn't make a bad choice. She will watch out for you and your rights, when everyone else has turned against you. Linda saved me a lot of grief.
Linda is up on the current law changes, and legal requirements. With all the changes in California, law enforcement officer need a smart attorney.
Additionally, Linda does not let the large defense firm push you around. She would submit items to me, before I would ask for them.
My case was involved and a total mess, but Ms. Brown took control and watched out for her client. Thanks Linda.

After been on medical leave for quite a few months, having denied every single proposed treatment for my injury by the workers compensation administrators I finally decided to hire a work comp attorney, I did my homework looking at different law firms, some advertised on TV and others referred to me by people I knew and after an exhaustive search I decided to give my business to Mr Almodovar, he walked me thru the process getting a good doctor to treat my injury and made me feel comfortable knowing I was in the best hands, he is still handling my case which is not over yet but at least I have the confidence that he's handling my case the best possible way, I am really happy so far with his performance, he's very assertive and trust him deeply, his staff is very courteous and very good assisting me every time I need it, sometimes is hard to get a hold of him cause he's very busy but his staff keeps on top of everything!

Ryan is a good attorney! He took over my husband's case from one of the worst hippie slob attorneys we've ever met. It took a while to settle the case, but those who understand workers' comp and the ever changing laws in California will understand it takes a good amount of time until the case can be settled. There's a lot of back-n-forth between quite a few entities involved, and a lot of the time, the defense drags it out. Ryan was easy to work with and talk with and kept us in the loop the entire way. He's also very knowledgeable regarding the ever changing California workers' comp laws, who the good doctors and specialist are, and other issues you will have to deal with throughout the journey. I've worked in the workers' comp field with quite a few attorneys, and I would hire Ryan again in a heartbeat.

I contacted me.canter about my case and he instantly replied and made me confident he knew and dealt with my works insurance company plenty of times. And I was not deceived. Due to him having many cases, I did have to keep calling and check on status parts of the case, but me.canter and hisbteam were all very sympathetic, and informative as well as helpful. Because of his professional experience I was able to only suffer four months (instead of years and was all works insurance fault) and he was able to speed up the process of my settlement and the check because the insurance company taking forever caused my family and I to become homeless.
I received my check a week in a half maybe close to two weeks after it was signed.
I highly recommend Mr. Canter and his staff. They try very hard to be as responsive and quick as possible and you can tell they actually care about you, not in it for his (small) percentage of the money.
