Currently in a lawsuit with this company representing the other party, not sure if they read the accident report but I'm sure this firm encouraged their client to lie based on claims they made that aren’t matching up to the accident report. When I spoke to Mrs.Rameriez to see why after being paid out by my insurance they’re trying to claim more I was met with hostility. Already spoke to my insurance who verified all payouts have been paid & documents have been signed. Very interesting & will be counter suing her & her client for fraudulent claims. Sad to see people abusing the system and this law firm encouraging it.

I highly recommend Kevin Ginsberg. I spoke with him at length about a claim for an auto accident, and he took the time to help me understand in detail how these cases work, what we could (and could not) recover, and offered several avenues to proceed. Because the claim was so straightforward, Kevin provided me with the information I needed to be confident in settling it on my own. I was referred to Mr. Ross by another attorney I know in Greensboro. I left a message for him to call me. He returned the call within TWO HOURS, he listened patiently and was extremely polite and empathetic. I needed information to see if I immediately needed an attorney and he could have taken advantage of my fear. Instead he was calm reassuring and told me wait until things developed and call him back. He gave me some advice in the interim as well. He was a total gentleman, already I highly recommend him and feel sure he will be a great attorney

I hired Howard to represent me in a traffic case in Durham County. The initial charge was G.S. 20-141(j1), and we were able to enter a plea of responsible to G.S. 20-123.2 (improper equipment) with no required conditions. This is the best possible outcome for a speeding ticket in NC, as it is a non-moving infraction that has no insurance impact, no points, and no per-policy limits or out-of-state issues like a PJC.
Howard was able to effectively present my case, clean driving record, and letter to the court to the DA's office to obtain this plea deal. It is essential to have a lawyer who knows the local DAs and is willing to put in the time to continue the case to a date with the most favorable DA/district judge. Howard was able to obtain an improper equipment in my case even though it was outside of the usual guidelines for this county, and without a requirement of traffic school. Despite staffing changes in the DA's office, Howard was able to adapt and get a strong deal even with a brand new DA.
Howard appeared around four times in court all for a flat fee that was about equal to the cost of the ticket. It took about five months in total to resolve the case, and I did not have to appear in court at all. Most speeding tickets are going to cost $250-350 in fines/costs. The question is what will happen to your driving record and insurance rates. That is where paying Howard a few hundred dollars is well worth it. Defense lawyers know the DAs and they have a professional rapport with them. I thought about going to court myself, but even though I had a good idea of the laws, I wouldn't have known the people and procedures to expect in this county. Howard knows exactly what to expect and how to best present the case to the DAs.
Howard never routes calls or texts to a secretary--some of the lawyers I contacted, and many that sent advertisements in the mail, did not even let you talk to a lawyer before hiring them. Howard gave a lengthy phone consultation at no charge and was in no hurry. Howard will ask to see your citation and driving record before giving a flat fee quote for the case. If available for your case, you'll also have to fill out a waiver of appearance form if you do not want to appear in court each time yourself.
I actually found Howard by chance by looking at the bar directory, and he was a bit surprised as he does not do any advertising. If you've come across this listing I would definitely recommend giving him a call. I think it's best to call a few different lawyers as I did, and choose who you feel most comfortable trusting your case with. Cross out anyone who doesn't give a real consultation or pushes you to decide right away. Whatever you decide to do, Howard will give you a consultation and put you at ease regarding your case. As a local college student, Howard provided a service that was affordable to me and well worth the money.

I feel quite blessed. I was literally in the last few days before my right to file would have expired. I had met with several of the firms many see on television, and perhaps because it wasn't a "sexy case" none of them signed me. However, when I met with Martha Ramsay she was kind and candid. She took my case, made me feel heard and empowered.
No, it wasn't a huge settlement, but that wasn't all I needed and Ms Ramsay made sure I was able to choose an option that suited me. I was able to choose an option that provides me with after care (once my case is closed).

A complete and total lack of empathy paired with a nonchalant attitude, but leading with the lack of urgency, would be how I describe this company. If you want prompt callbacks, or someone who understands your situation you need to shop around this is not the place! From the very beginning our experience has been nothing but unreturned calls, the attorney out on leave vacation or sickness, broken promises and a who cares type attitude. A settlement Check was finally signed for my spouse after a year with little to no contact from the attorney, it was signed with a promise of receiving the funds by the following week and our faults began by yet again trusting these people. A Check was signed and he still cannot get his money. As I stated the complete and total lack of understanding and empathy paired with no one in an office being able to do anything has crippled my family again. Depending on this company is going to cost my family our home. I pray each and every human that works here gets the day they deserve… s day like their clients. I am baffled and would never suggest or recommend this Wilmington office

I inquired for their services earlier this afternoon seeking help for an obscure case that happens to be out of their line of practice. However, not only did they promptly respond to me - but had an employee of theirs personally call me and give me a referral phone number where I could possibly find someone to help me. This level of professionalism is greatly noticed having been rudely turned down by several of the “best attorneys in Charlotte.” Any cases I may experience in the future that falls understated their line of practice - best believe I will be giving them my business. Vernon has been absolutely amazing. A year and half after I had been injured at work and after receiving medical treatment, it was time to start the settlement process. I was given an offer and wasn't sure if it was good. I found The Sumwalt Group on Google and saw the 5 star reviews. I reached out to them to see if I could get some advice. I would recommend this law firm to anyone needing a great lawyer for Workmen Comp cases!!! Bob and his team worked long hours and months for me and my husband!! My husband worked at a company for 36 years!! And made him resign after 2 injuries! This was very heartbreaking and wrong in all kinds of ways!
