I was involved in a very serious automobile accident that has required me to have 10 surgeries up to now. If it would not of been for Jeannette and her associates , I don't know what my family and I would have done or where we would of ended up. The Kid that hit me had Nationwide Insurance and believe me when I tell you, "Nationwide is not on your side" when it comes to doing the right thing. They did everything they could to intimidate me and my family. Nationwide hired the biggest law firm in Raleigh , Jeanette never once backed down and made me feel safe. Her knowledge of the law was very impressive, but what was even more impressive was her work ethic and her compassion for someone that was almost killed by someone that was racing to get home so he and his dad could go fishing. She was constantly on the phone with me and or emailing me. I gave Jeannette the nik name of "King Kong Congdon" because she stood her ground for what was right against one of the biggest insurance companies in the nation. I will never forget the long hours of work she put in. I would get emails from her at 2:30 in the morning. Having her on my side made all the difference in the world.
I unfortunately have been disabled from this accident and have now hired her to help get my Social Security Disability. If anyone is in need of a lawyer that wont B.S. you and will fight for you, then do yourself a favor and call her and find out for yourself.

I moved to NC from NJ, and asked Jeannette to review my existing documents (Living Will, Power of Attorney, Will) to understand if they met all the legal criteria per NC laws. The living will and power of attorney had to be re-done and Jeaannette re-filed these for me. She was helpful, and kept me informed and educated at each step of the way.

Mrs. Congdon helped us prepare for and represented us at a county agency hearing. She also did legal research and preparation for a possible civil law suit and helped us recover funds from the insurance company. In addition, she prepared a will and other documents for my elderly mother. She is an extremely organized person and is excellent at communicating with her clients on a timely basis. I have the highest regard for her abilities and have no hesitation in giving her my highest recommendation.

I am a high school teacher working with a student who is facing court proceedings for a minor infraction, and had no support from his family who now live out of state and told him to leave, go back to Salisbury and not to come back until he had completed his community service and the final court date. The student's parents are undocumented and this 16 year old had a tough life growing up with dysfunctional parenting. I took him in temporarily and with the help of my mother, a retired teacher, we have been looking at ways he could avoid going back to his parents' who don't really want him there. With little money as a school teacher (!), Mr. Morris was kind enough to give me some direction that was VERY helpful. I will never hesitate to use only Jeff's legal services in the future if I need them unless he refers me to another attorney. I highly recommend this attorney who is very knowledgeable on many topics and also has a heart. You always hope to find an attorney with heart when you are facing a difficult situation. I would say this is the place to look!

You will not find a better Attorney. They will hole your hand the whole way. I had an attorney in High Point for 2 yrs I knew there reception after getting the run away. I chose Mike Lewis he down to earth and if I called five times a day. He would always call me back. If it wasn't for Mike Lewis helping me I would not have gotten my disability. He has an experience Social Security person that worked for Social Security
for years and now he works for Mike Lewis and with all the great advice I had my Disability in three months ...I would not trust anyone else to hold my hand thru all this ordeal. Stacy battled a travel insurance agency to get a full refund for me and my husband who was diagnosed with a progressive disease a couple of weeks before a big family trip to Italy. As if facing the diagnosis wasn't bad enough, learning that the travel insurance company did not want to honor our claim was so disheartening and very aggravating and frightening. Alex was hands down one of the best attorneys I could have EVER hired. He made my court settlement a breeze for my child who could not defend herself ONE bit. My child was attacked by a pitbull who could have potentially killed her. Alex was there for every question I had down to explaining to me he would have my back until the very end... Which he did!

The negative review sounds like very sour grapes from a former employee at the Wilson Law Firm. I nearly fired the firm over that employee on more than one occasion - once that employee left I decided to stay, and I have to say the service got even better!

I hired Mr. Richard (Rick) Parrotte in June 2016 after spending fifteen months with another lawyer who was unable to move the case to closure. Within four months of taking my case, Rich was able to close the case with a settlement that could have been completed one year earlier.
Rick was forthright, reasonable in cost, answered all my questions, provided clear feedback, direction and was able to take a floundering case and move it to closure within a very short period of time of four months.
I wish my first lawyer had the integrity that Rick presented to me. He kept me informed, did not mislead me, made sure I understood what he was doing, why he was doing it, and explained any options that I need to make.

My worker's comp case began in 2005 while employed with the state. It dragged on forever as I was shuffled doctor to doctor and given the run-around. I was not hurt seriously enough to warrant a court hearing but did need advice as to how to bring my case to closure and still receive a due impairment award. Ben didn't know me and still took the time to properly advise me so that I could handle the case on my own. Because of him, my case is finally coming to an end. He provided me with the proper information to be able to negotiate with the worker's comp company. I was so impressed that he was not concerned about what was in it for him but what was best for me. Client Protection: The Will
My Life Partner took almost a Year before he was Satisfied with his Will. Ms Steffan was patient with every change. When it was time to Sign the Will, as my Partner was by then Bed Bound, Ms Steffan arrived with her Staff for the Signing. I was sent almost to Siberia because it was mid January and it had Snowed just that week, but I was required to leave for Ms Steffan will not allow anyone other than her Client to be around to assure her Client has no Interference. It took about 45 minutes for the final signing.
Probate: ‘The Estate’
I happened to be both the Executor and a Beneficiary. Having been an Executor before in a more simple State, It was hard for me accept some principles Ms Steffan had to give me for processing a NC Probate. Ms Steffan had to drag me ‘kicking & screaming’ into the reality of “The Estate is my Client”, along with more of the complexities of NC Law. I didn’t want to accept that I was not the ‘Client’ but the ‘Estate’.
Will Contest: Bygone Era Honor & Integrity
As can happen sometimes along comes a Will Contest and this is when it became known to me the substance of Kim Steffan…her Integrity & Honor and her Loyalty to her Client even after he was gone. In bygone days, a Lawyer knew your Family History, the Generations and kept it’s Secrets. When a Will Contest showed up it was then things came out that I had never knew. Even as Executor and a Beneficiary, Ms Steffan never revealed her Private Conversations with her Client. She kept her Client’s Confidentiality even after he was gone. And this was the Revelation of Ms Steffan’s Integrity…She knew her Client’s Wishes & Desires and kept them with Honor.

I worked with Doug Meis on a personal injury case stemming from a car accident with an underinsured motorist. He was fantastic. He explained everything to me, provided me with possible scenarios, and guided me through some very complicated information. My husband had a bad accident at work and his company was not helping him with anything. After a while we decided we needed help and we were referred to Brian Hochman by a friend. Mr. Brian took the time to meet with us multiple times and explain the entire process to us.
