Dell & Schaefer Law Firm is an excellent law firm for dealing with disability companies. I tried for 18 months to get disability for a medical condition. I found Dell & Schaefer and spoke with Mr. Jay Symonds about my case. He was very understanding and explained how he could help me in a simple and easy to understand manner. Within 6 months of him taking on my case he was able to resolve the case to my satisfaction. I could concentrate on my health instead of worrying about money to pay my bills. Mr. Symonds staff were all very kind and helpfull. I never had a problem with contacting them for help and they were quick to respond to issues. Before I called Dell & Schaefer I called several law firms in my area and to my disappointment, I was unable to find a local attorney who I felt could really help me settle my long-term disability claim. I was at the end of my rope and I did not want to deal with my insurance carrier anymore because of the tactics they used throughout the years after I became sick. I found that during the time my claim was being processed, my attorney (Ms. Alters) and her assistant (Ms. Arriaga) were both very professional, quick to respond, and did not seem pressed for time in a way that let me feel that I was important to them. They were both very straightforward in expressing their thoughts and suggestions as well as helping me understand anything I did not understand. They took the time necessary to explain anything that was confusing to me. I felt as if I knew them personally and appreciated their help very much. Steven Dell is the best. My husband started working with Mr. Dell in 2017. Mr. Dell handled my husband’s case to receive Long Term Disability from a former employer who fired him after having three mini -strokes and won the case. I started working directly with Mr. Dell myself in August 2018 after my husband had a severe stroke during quadruple bypass surgery. When my husband had the stroke I was devastated. Kevin, my husband, handled everything in our lives financially. I did nothing. I accidentally called Mr. Dell, one day after Kevin had the stroke, thinking he was different type of business lawyer that we had been dealing with. Kevin had never filled out his Short Term Disability paperwork and I was at a loss and didn’t know where to begin. When I learned that Mr. Dell was my husband’s disability lawyer, Mr. Dell explained to me that he could help and has been doing so ever since. My husband is now permanently disabled. When I have questions, I actually have Mr. Dell’s direct cell phone number and I call him directly, and Mr. Dell drops everything and answers my calls immediately. Steven Dell has been a lifesaver for us and I highly recommend using him. I do not know what we would ever do without him. Mr. Dell’s staff is also fantastic! Mr Dell is a terrific Disability Lawyer. For those reading these reviews I came across greg thru another attorney located in N.Y. I am a healthcare professional for over 35 years who has undergone many procedures both orthopedic and vascular in nature and was on disability, finding myself suddenly dropped in 6/2019 by unum my disability carrier and one that I deem not only horrible and apathetic , its only motives are to make its investor's happy, regardless of it's patients medical conditions to whom they serve. I called Gregory and spoke to his assistant vanessa first , who was not only cordial and professional but showed nothing but empathy till this day. Greg took my case after my initial appeal was denied which I did , and it was quickly overturned by Greg's astute understanding of the law and backed by my treating physicians. Greg has been such a savior in many more ways then I can communicate, and anyone needing the service of a LTD atty I would say , dont waste your time on other attorney interviews because greg is your guy...In closing, I can use anyone , but greg is not only good in what he does, he is empathetic, returns calls immediately and truly cares about his clients. I first retained Steven Dell in 2017 for help with an insurance claim; without going in to too much detail we all know the reason we need to hire an experienced law firm and words can not express my gratitude to this firm. From the beginning, Steven relieved the stress and uncertainty about my future. Steven was so patient in explaining the process to me and I am a very impatient person... We all know the insurance company does everything to make your life miserable but Steven and his team set my mind at ease explaining everything; I was always kept in the loop of how far we were along in the process and all the next steps.
