Bill was our first call when we discovered a potential problem with our JV partner in a complex transaction. Over the next nine months, he was able to help us evaluate a complete range of strategies, but with a practical focus, consistently keeping our best interests in mind rather than running down rabbit trails or low-probability tactics. In other words, Bill did the minimum effective dose of legal work to prepare us for litigation while pursuing settlement.

David Smith was so wonderful to work with. I was involved in a car accident (not my fault) and my insurance was not willing to give me the settlement I believed that I deserved. Mr. Smith not only answered all of my questions, but he took the time to lay out all of my options, and explained them all in a way that my non-legal-brain could understand. He was patient, kind, and worked really hard to get me the settlement that I deserved. In 2005, my company purchased some (new) heavy equipment for a specific project. The equipment failed immediately, and the manufacturer would not warranty the repairs. This resulted in an almost insurmountable financial hardship. I met with numerous lawyers, that would not take my case. Pete Mackey and his co-counsel, not only took the case, but won at trial. The result was the highest jury verdict award, in that particular court, in nine years! Pete remains my attorney to this day, and I have no apprehension in recommending him to anyone.

Pete Mackey handled a business litigation issue for me a few years ago. He is a very smart, capable, hardworking and extremely professional attorney. He gave me good advice throughout the process and he was able to reach a satisfactory conclusion of the issue.
I have worked with many attorneys over my professional business career mostly for the development and/or negotiation of contracts but also for a few disputes along the way. I hired Andy to represent me after my girlfriend at the time threatened to accuse me of abuse, then apologized and told me that she was simply drunk and acknowledged that I would never hurt her, then punched me in face on a later date, then followed through with her threat to accuse me of abuse when I asked her to move out. On our initial consultation, Andy met with me personally and was attentive, professional, and impressive. Two days after the incident the police decided not to charge me. With Andy's help we discovered that this woman had a history of violence and abuse of the legal system with other partners. One of her partners warned that I should file a restraining order and to expect her to do the same as she had harassed him, thrown hot coffee in his face, hit him, and called the police on him many times while she was intoxicated and fighting with him about their son. She had me served with a restraining order while I was seeing patients in my office two weeks later. Andy helped me to reconstruct the events and uncover digital evidence showing my partner admitting on multiple occasions that she had fabricated her claims and that her previous threats of abuse accusations were nothing more than the result of her intoxication. Andy even hired a private detective to investigate my former partner. During this time my former partner continued to harass me, stalk me, and break in to the home we had shared together. Through all of this Andy was more than a great attorney, but a reassuring presence that helped to get me through this tough time. He always responded to me quickly and fully. I frankly don't know how he could show me and my case so much personal attention while doing the same for his other clients. But he did. This guy is an outstanding attorney and I couldn't have hired anyone better.

Through no fault of my own, I found myself embroiled in a complicated multi-level governmental personal injury case. I was struck by a vehicle driven by a municipal employee assigned to a federal task force. I suffered significant serious injuries and loss of work time as well as property damage. I faced a legal battle against a defendant with unlimited financial resources as well as teams of experienced attorneys. In addition, the legality in governmental cases is quite complicated.
From the very beginning, Anthony assured me he would take care of me, and I should concern myself with my health and recovery, that he would handle the legal side of things. While riding his bicycle, my husband, Chris, was hit by a car whose driver ran a red light. The car I was driving was hit nearly head-on by an out-of-state, unemployed, uninsured, young-adult driver who never responded to his several court summons. I had to have two operations, plus I had to remodel my house in order to accomodate a wheelchair. I needed all the financial help I could get. Tracy knew exactly how to present my case to Medicare and to my backup Federal BCBS insurance, as well as to my car insurance company. Had I been on my own through this paperwork nightmare, I may have had to sell my house just to pay my bills. This guy's a great lawyer! And easy to talk to .. no one else would touch my motorcycle accident case because I have a suspended license, even though it was 100% their fault. Well Phil took my case, and within 2 weeks the other party's insurance accepted full liability for the accident. My partner and I were in a precarious position with a third partner who tried to steal our largest client. Although other transaction attorneys were involved, it was not until James Tanner, a true litigator, got involved that we received an injunction blocking the partner from breaking our bylaws. Mr. Tanner was not only professional, but got the defendant to blatantly admit to the judge that he was in breach of the by-laws through his superior skills in cross examination and in getting the truth revealed. Alright, sure, I’ll admit I’m old and set in my ways. Some even say ornery and full of spit. And I’ll admit when I first went into the office at the Corbett Law Firm I wanted the dad (Jim Corbett) as my lawyer, not Matt Corbett the son. Matt looked like a kid to me and I figured they just kept Matt around the office to wax their cars and go get hamburgers for everyone at lunch. I needed someone with cold steely eyes and an itchy trigger finger. My case was special and I needed someone with experience. As far as I knew only the dad had that kind of take no prisoners, getter done kind of reputation. My philosophy is, if you need to go to war then get someone to go with you who has been there. Failure is not an option! But I got stuck with the kid so my new plan was to hang around with him just long enough to get to see his dad come through the office then fall down on the floor and grab a hold of his leg and make him drag me around until he agreed to take my case. But I never saw him. I guess he still works there? He must have some kind of a special Batman cave entrance? But, I’m glad now that I didn’t. One – well, because I’d have wrinkled my cloths. Two - well, because who needs the dad when Matt’s around! Man, this young man turned out to be a go getter. I was surprised! He took care of everything from A to Z for me and got me the help I needed. Talk about a chip off the old block. And in the end he had that insurance company down on the ground crying uncle before I knew it. And rightly so! If I would have known then what I know now I never would have asked for the dad, what ever his name is. I’d have asked for Matt right away. This young man went above and beyond the call of duty for me. And let me tell ya, the trains run on time when you’ve got this young man working for ya. Give him a try you’ll be glad you did. Did I mention he does cars too? Or maybe it’s the dad, I’m not sure?

My company hired Dennis to settle a dispute with an out of state general contractor who refused to pay us for work completed. It was a complicated situation and I was most impressed with his ability to grasp a large body of written and electronic material stretching over a 6 month period.
