Mr.Bourne was with me for 2 YEARS. He helped fight my DV case and got me a deal that is pretty much unheard of no probation, no time served, fees waved & got it expunged off my record. He’s quick to respond and keeps you up to date on any new information as soon as he gets it.
All you have to do is be patient and submit the required information asap, and he’ll do everything in his power to get you the best deal possible.

I was arrested and charged with a felony. When I spoke to my public defender the best option she could give me was to plead guilty for the felony and take 2 years of felony probation. I contacted attorney Bourne and explained my case to him and he got the the charge dropped down to a misdemeanor, unsupervised probation and I didn’t even have to pay any court fees! Thanks Josh !

I ran into a situation in Pinellas county. Hired him the next day or so. Yeah, it cost some money. Very much worth it. He totally gave me a worry free representation. I didn't even show up for a single court date. He conveyed what needed to be conveyed to whomever it needed to be conveyed to understand the dynamics of what was really going on in the case. I highly recommend calling Attorney Eric J. Mikovch should you find yourself in a situation where you need a defense attorney. I initially called his secretary for an appointment, and he called me back in under 30 minutes and asked me questions to obtain all the information he needed. He recognized how upset I was and offered to meet with me during my lunch time that day. I had intense fear and anxiety, and he reassured me that everything would be ok. I hired him on the spot to represent me and, he won my case for me. Between the time of initial contact to the end of my trial date, he stayed in contact with me via phone and text, replying back to me immediately with answers to my questions. Vanessa Samano is simply the best there is for child custody cases, specifically high conflict. I would highly recommend Vanessa for any type of divorce or family law case, but specifically if you have a need for representation for Juvenile Court. Vanessa has the relationships with the courts, judges, and other attorneys across East Tennessee. She is highly respected and knows the law, but mostly she cares about the families she represents. I could not have asked for someone who believed in me and my case more. She will be honest, even when it's not what you want to hear. She will encourage you to always do the right thing and to not just check boxes but legitimately follow through.
Vanessa helped me navigate a complex divorce followed by a difficult custody case in which I obtained primary custody. As a single Dad, this was not easy even though the facts were in my favor. My advice, without reservation, is to not just hire Vanessa Samano, but to listen to her and do what she says. If you are not willing to be honest or take responsibility, Vanessa is not for you. However, if you want someone to help you navigate a complex system in an honest but tough and caring way that puts the best interest of children first, then Vanessa is right for you. 2 weeks ago I got pulled over for a minor infraction just to find out I had a warrant for my arrest in Trumbull County from 6 yrs ago. It was Friday night and everything was closed! I couldn't for the life of me figure out where these charges stemmed from. The next day, after a night gripped with fear, I decided I'd better at least try calling some law offices and maybe God would lead me to the right one and someone would answer or call me back. The 1st message I left was with Ron Yarwood and he ended up being the only attorney to call me back the very next day on Sunday! I couldn't believe it. I didn't retain him that day because I thought these charges were going to be a mistake and I was trying to save money, but he heard me out and didn't cut me off. The next day I called the magistrates office and the Police Depart, and found out I was facing a Felony. I was sick to my stomach, sitting at work suffering in silence and fighting back tears. I asked for a personal day and went home to search for attorney that I could afford because I didn't have that much money and I was still holding out hope this would just get dismissed. It had been almost 6 years and no crime was actually committed, it was just an attempt to commit an offense. I called tons of attorneys, and if your reading this you'll know what I'm talking about when I say they only cared about the money, not about me. Long story short, I found an attorney(not Yarwood) and things went downhill, fast. He wouldn't listen to me or do any research on the facts I was giving him. He was dismissive of me. At this point, I new I was in trouble and I knew it was time to search for another attorney. It's 8am Monday(3 days ago) on my way to work, leaving msgs yet again. Once again only Yarwood called me back! I told him my charges and what has been happening this far and I had a hearing scheduled this Thursday. He said let's meet today so I took off work(again) and drove to his office. Ron came right down to meet me and led me to the conference room. At this point, I was exhausted, not sleeping and not trusting anyone. Atty Yarwood didn't sugarcoat anything for me and got right to the point. He looked at all the facts and right away went in to what his defenses would be.(thats right, i said defenses, plural!) I tried not talk much because I wanted to hear what he had say and I didn't have time to waste. Immediately, he picked up on crucial details that I had been begging my attorney(at the time) to look at to no avail. Even though I had not hired Ron Yarwood yet, he didn't hold back one bit of what his defenses would be. Atty Yarwood said it is important that we become a team, which resonated with me because I never heard an attorney talk like that before and that we need to trust each other... And that he's not a hand holder lol(which I didn't need)...however, I needed someone who will fight. After an hour meeting, which he never looked at his watch 1 time and I never felt rushed, I knew he was the one. My feelings were that he was honest and became an attorney for all the right reasons, so I googled him immediately. Everything he told me was true. Yesterday morning(8/16) I ran him over a check at 730 am. We talked for another hour and I just expected him to take my money and I'd be on my way. Not Ron, he pulled out a white board and went over exactly how this process would go and went over every possibility of how this could play out. I left feeling great and confident he had my back and I really could trust him. Fast forward 24 hours later...I'm sitting in the courtroom at my preliminary hearing, sick..again. Ron pops in just let me know he's there and he'd come back in shortly. 30 to 45 minutes later he grabs my dad and I and tells us to follow him outside where he tells us the charges are going to be dismissed! What!! Ron came in prepared and ready to go all the way for me. I am so grateful to him and I couldn't wait to write this review! Thank you Ron!!! Call Ron Yarwood!!

I can’t express enough how thankful I am to have met Josh. I’ve worked with other attorneys for what I assumed were simple modifications and spent thousands, only to find out later that the orders weren’t enforceable, even though a judge signed them. So, when it came time to modify my child support, I knew I needed a lawyer who would get it right.
Initially, I wanted to try and handle things through the Attorney General’s office, but given my luck in the past and my ex-husband’s difficult nature, I wanted to make sure everything was done correctly. I met with several lawyers before Josh, and most charged steep fees for brief, unhelpful consultations. But my experience with Josh was different from the start. He invited me into the office, spent a full hour with me, and was honest about my options. He even advised me to save money by filing with the AG’s office myself—until he heard about my ex-husband’s behavior. At that point, he agreed that having a lawyer was the better choice.
I hired Josh the same day, and within a week, he had started the paperwork. From the moment he contacted my ex-husband, the usual games began. Josh told me not to respond to any communication from my ex and that he would handle everything. He did just that—professionally and effectively, even managing to stop my ex’s harassment, which I hadn’t been able to do myself.
Josh’s approach in court was exceptional. He called me the week before to walk me through everything, even doing a role play of how things would go on the stand. What seemed silly at first turned out to be invaluable preparation. Thanks to Josh, I felt confident and knew exactly what to expect.
The communication from Josh and his entire team was outstanding. I received regular updates, even if there was nothing new to report. Worst experience. Lawyer showed up 40 minutes late to courtroom, joked/fist bumped with the cops and prosecutor and did exactly nothing for me. I got to watch defendants for speeding tickets before me get the same options as I did, while he made away with my money. Stay away

I’m a New York Father. I rarely make reviews on anything and frankly I was not in a mental place to do so but I believe I’m in a better place to let this out now. So, back in 2023 my daughter was kidnapped by her Mother. I didn’t see my daughter for months and at least spoke to 10 detectives in New York to get someone to take my case seriously. I eventually got a warrant for her arrest but all based in New York, it didn’t matter with Ohio law. Once I found out my child was in Ohio and realized I needed a lawyer I reach out to Mr. Friedman. I called about 5 offices prior all closed but he was the only one still working late and answered the phone. He not only recognized the dire of my situation but was a great friend and professionally experienced lawyer. While in the court area he even unexpectedly bought me a meal as we waited. Long story short, I got my little girl back and Mr. Friedman was an angel in disguise for this period in my life. I don’t think anyone else could’ve done it better. He was supportive, responsive, educated, well connected, and followed through on the tasks at hand. Even when things got a little sticky in my first time DUI case, Mike knows the right things to bring up and knows how to handle what gets thrown at him. I’m impressed by the confidence, composure and knowledgeability. He knows the right people, which is the biggest name of the game because if you don’t, you don’t have a defense. I’m thoroughly content with how he handled my case and if you are in the south sound area I would strongly advise to at least consult with the guy. At a fair price I doubt there are much better options. My only problem was lack of communication within his own office. I wasn’t able to get ahold of him as much as I would’ve liked to (since he’s busy handling business), and it seemed like one of his representatives didn’t have as much experience but Mike still handled it well.
