Used Jeff to defend and finally expunge a ridiculous charge against my child in school. Kid stuff blown way out of proportion. Jeff was attentive and straight up about the options available for our case and it was handled in a straightforward manner. I took on Ms. Barros to help me in my Disolution of Marriage (Divorce). She worked very hard for me. She was always in contact with me via phone or email. From my first meeting with Mr. Sandbach he made feel comfortable and was honest. I was so impressed with his skill and presence in the courtroom. The way he presented my case to the jury was amazing. I was confident that no matter what the outcome he had given it his all. Though it was a very stressful situation he made it so much easier for me as I went thru it knowing I could put my trust in him. We ended up winning the case! My divorce case was fairly simple. It was just about the money. Bill returned calls quickly, during breaks at court, or mediation. Email turnaround was quick also, depending on the complexity of the information and documents to be reviewed and modified thus removing the necessity to meet in person to go over documents time and time again. This was a bonus for me!

We dealt with Bill on a fairly simple, yet unfrequent issue: seller refused to release 15k in earnest money after cancellation of contract. The issue? Paperwork reached seller at 5:06pm instead of the 5:00pm deadline.
I sent Bill copies of all docs, set up chronologically by me. He interpolated with advice and found all possible contract loopholes. Then recommended that I, the buyer, write the seller pointing out the faults of the contract, and that they would likely end up having to release the funds, plus fork-out all additional costs - likely a few thousand each. Worked like a charm. As Tony Soprano would say: baddabim-baddaboom. His final bill wasn't exorbitant either. Def-rec!

Guys ... please don’t do this alone! I started out doing the friendly, no-lawyer divorce. We poked around on the internet, read the law and I was about to give the farm away.
I’m a relatively smart guy and able to figure most things out, but this ... way out of my league. I had a very simple divorce, no minor children, no real assets - only a house, nothing really to "fight" for. I surrendered all the furniture and was trying to be fair.
Bill was great, laid out the facts, applied his experience (don’t underestimate the need to find someone with experience), looked at the whole picture, and talked me off the ledge. I was giving too much.
We ended up going through mediation, Bill was calm and drama free, which seemed to irritated my ex-wife’s lawyer - bonus. Bill was rational and thoughtful with the mediator.
Bill listened when he needed too, asked only the questions he needed, and gave me some great advice. I know consider this an investment that has paid off. I was looking at years of support and contact with my ex-wife. After mediation, that was it. No support, no contact, life is good now.
I highly recommend you at least talking to Bill, see where you stand. Then decide, but you’ll do like I did and move forward with him.

We were referred to Mr. Plavnick in 2013 by friends who had retained his services in about 2004 for their foster-adopt process. Their confidence in him gave us the assurance we needed to move ahead using his services to complete our California Independent Adoption. Our process should have been straightforward, but as these things go, there were hurdles. Throughout our case he was self-assured, but never arrogant. I Contacted Mr. Mortimer to start proceeding, to set aside a felony conviction, from 16 years ago. He did an excellent job from the beginning to the end going out of his way through the covid-19 pandemic situation. He proceed with my case , of setting aside the felony conviction. I received a Reckless Driving 5-point ticket in a Camden County town. Officer didn't like the way I changed lanes. We pleaded down to Unsafe Driving (Which is a larger fine but no points and no recurring insurance charges). Admittedly it had been 19 years since my last traffic violation, which I'm sure helped the judges decision... but stepping down from 5 points to no points is a huge win regardless of the circumstances (in my mind). Never had to go to a trial with officer. Simply negotiated with prosecutor at initial hearing, and judge agreed.

Contacted Ms. Icenhauer-Ramirez on the recommendation of a friend. She was everything the friend said she would be (see Review Title for qualities). She told us what to expect and what the approximate timeline was. Linda was an amazing attorney. I have had other attorneys in the past who can't even compare. She actually cares about her clients and is extremely nice. She was very responsive and great at keeping me up to date on what was going on. Nervous about my case, I consistently had questions and she was prompt to answer them. Carter is an outstanding and passionate attorney. I was arrested a couple years back on Halloween at a road block by State Patrol for a "DUI" after passing all the field sobriety tests. I was driving a friend home, but State Patrol arrested me anyway. I contacted Carter after I was bailed out. He quickly took my case, reviewed the evidence, police tapes, and was determined to prove I was truly innocent and should not have been arrested that night. My case was presented at the state level where they agreed I was not to be charged with a DUI due to the lack of evidence. Since the case was brought to the state court, Carter was able to arrange a plea bargain to reduce to reckless driving with no probation or nonsense alcohol and drug evaluation/classes.
Carter fought for my case and was able to make the best of the situation and prove me innocent. The case took multiple years to close, however, he kept me informed of what was happening and what to expect the entire time. He is patient and will answer any questions you have and fight for what you. I highly recommend Carter. He is very passionate about his job and is truly on the defendants side.

A few months ago I was arrested on several serious charges. After initially consulting with Carter, I decided he would be the best person to represent me based on his clear understanding of my situation, and his ability to explain what was happening in layman's terms. I’m pretty ignorant when it comes to legal processes, but Carter was very patient in explaining my options to me, and answered all of my questions completely - regardless of how silly or paranoid they were. He was attentive and professional through the entire process, which reassured me I had made the right decision in hiring him. Ultimately, Carter was able to negotiate a reasonable plea agreement with the prosecutor, which was really the best possible outcome for my case. I hope this doesn't find you too late, but i've been dealing with alot since even before my move so I hope you'll forgive the delay. Samuel Derocco did an awesome job getting to know my difficult situation and working with me to help as much as he could. I had some issues with my license (to put it simply) which I ended up in court for for months. This was a HUGE problem because I was in the midst of moving across country. My husband was already there waiting for me and his 6mo old to join him. I was living with family in the meantime. I was arrested, unfortunately, for the 3rd time in almost 18 years for theft. Each arrest being almost 6 years apart to the day. After meeting James he treated me with humility and grace despite my wrong doings.
