When I first met Mr. Andrews it was pertaining to a moving violation citation I received. Throughout the consultation he explained what he could do to reduce the citation to a lesser expense. Once I hired him, he gave me very clear instructions on steps I needed to take to show the prosecutor that I took the citation seriously. By completing these actions he would be able to reduce the citation to just having to pay the fine and not getting any points on my license. Even though I took longer than I should have to complete these steps, Mr. Andrews continued the case two different times to allow me extra time to get it done. During this time, I moved to a city 250 miles away. Mr. Andrews worked with the prosecutor to see if anything could be done to help prevent me from having to make the long drive to appear in court. I was very pleased when Mr. Andrews contacted me to inform me that the citation had been reduced to a warning. What really impressed me is that even though he had to do some extra work to continue the case because I couldn't complete everything in the timeframe allowed. He stood by his original quote. He is very thorough, communicates clearly, and does what he says he will. I would recommend Mr. Andrews for any kind of traffic case. He will most definitely get the job done to your advantage.

From the first phone call, Matt was caring, positive and explained every aspect of what our son was going to be involved with in the legal system. I made some very stupid mistakes with my friends a couple of years ago, and ended up getting a court letter in the mail about a year later stating that I was being charged with 3 misdemeanors. This was my first time ever being involved with the law, as I had never received even a parking ticket prior to this incident. I felt completely overwhelmed and anxious for days, and even had trouble sleeping. I searched around for different lawyers in my area, and immediately felt comfortable with Dyke and his assistant Kym. He was extremely understanding of my situation, yet very straightforward and clear with his approach to tackle the whole ordeal. He helped to put my mind at ease with the court case and was very professional, yet friendly, at the same time. He handled everything for me and represented in me court. Dyke was able to get my charges dismissed through some volunteer work and restitution fees. Dyke is a legend as far as I am concerned. He has gotten me out of big time trouble using his knowledge of the law. While he has a small firm just him and his secretary I have witnessed the magic that he can do in a court room. He is straight to the point when it comes to your case and is passionate about each and everyone of his clients. While he's been my attorney for multiple cases he has never let me down even when the odds where severely stacked against me. Not to mention he is willing to work with you on his cost, while he isn't cheap he is extremely fair. But as far as attorneys go I will never use a different one and would recommend him to anyone I care about if they were to get themselves in a sticky situation. This is long overdue. I am a former Marine, got into some stupid trouble (first time in my life). Dyke was a great advocate and adviser. He didn't sugar coat anything but he remained buoyant and positive.
Despite fact that I ended up pleading out and going to prison I know Dyke did everything in his power to help me. All is good now and it's a lesson learned.

I called several lawyers in Brazoria County. Most of them took my name and number. A couple of them returned my call but gave me little to consider. When I called Sandy she immediately pulled the public files and thoroughly reviewed the situation. She told me what she thought was the best course of action. Her
attitude and her compassion seemed real and I hired her right on the spot.
Thru the entire ordeal Sandra was available to answer all our questions. Thru phone and text Sandra was always honest, direct, and most importantly she always returned calls and texts immediately. I can't tell you important that was. The previous court appointed attorney would take days and even weeks to get back to us.

I was charged with two counts of a gross misdemeanor in 2020 by a Lakewood police officer. Prior to the incident, 2020 was a big mess for me. However this incident was mind numbingly bad and surreal. It all basically stems from me (I do regret drinking at the park) drinking at a park, taking pictures and talking on the phone… Cops who patrol the park every 30 minutes approach me. This is where things turns messy, though I complied with the cop orders, I was triggered by him accusing me of saying “inappropriate things to underage girls” even though he did inform me to leave before saying that, however my mindset was “if you felt that was true you should have never gave me the option to leave” needless to say we got into a hostile like argument, the cop visibly angry and frustrated grab my wrist and arrested me… later found out through Kurt that he wrote a false, disgusting,gross,humiliating police report about that incident with hopes of a conviction. Basically it was a classic crooked cop tactic, but then again, I gave him fuel since I was drinking, and I did argue with him, but you live and learn, 2020 was a year we all want to forget, and of course learn from….. *conclusion* Kurt Stender was the perfect attorney for this case, the man was perfect. Calm,cool, and collective. Very logical, he has a keen sense of common sense, very understandable, he has an instinct that detects whose truly innocent and most importantly, a very honest and sincere attorney throughout this whole ordeal. My case was ultimately dismissed, I asked Kurt about an expungement, he said I wouldn’t need one after the dismissal. What more can you say about this man?

I was charged with a Felony >1-year after I called the Sheriff's Office to report an attack upon myself, family, and pets; during which our house-cat had been mauled to death on our front porch by a pack of marauding dogs. I was knocked to the ground of my front porch during the attack with vicious dogs atop. Said large black guard dogs were cited under RCW 16.08.100 repeatedly over the year prior/after to the attack(s) upon my household, even cited for trespass for the attack that night. Sadly, over the years involved, even more livestock/pets were attacked, even a few other humans.
The Sheriff's Office has stated repeatedly that I did what I had to do to protect myself and others from even greater harm. 11-months of court circus later, the Prosecutor's Office finally Dismissed the Felony Charge. Self-Defense does include defending self, others, and property from attack by a trespassing, marauding pack of known-dangerous dogs; especially includes being on your back on your front porch while attacked.
Kurt defended my family from the circus of court proceedings. He helped me navigate the emotional roller-coaster of being wrongfully charged when in fact I was the wholly innocent victim of a violent crime. Kurt went above and beyond to ensure that my professional career and my family were shielded and protected.
Self-Defense is under attack. Kurt was my Legal Defense in Criminal Court. Through Kurt's intricate and extensive knowledge of the Legal System, the Case was Dismissed just prior to Jury Trial.

Our son was recently named in an unfounded, false and potentially defamatory accusation. We consulted Mr. Laybourne to see what options may be available to us in the event this false accusation is filed.

What a terrible experience. Lower retainer fee, but the hourly fee is $400. I got charged for verifying emails were received, for checking up on my slacker attorney, I got billed for time taken when I visited the office to pay in person. I got charged for more administrative garbage than actual case work. This is an absolute money grab while my attorney basically laid down and took a beating any time I needed her. When custody is at risk, a lazy dishonest attorney is the WORST team mate to have. I absolutely regret any and all involvement I had with KKG.
After getting the shaft for 6 months, getting charged at every turn, I fired my attorney and hired one from a different firm - that was the best decision I could have made.

The attorney manipulated his client by not disclosing cost on his end and cost for supervised visits at $400 an hour. Kids are back in an unsafe environment since attorney refused to go to court. Paid $13,000.00 and came away with nothing. My children are in danger and this attorney only cares about money and how many cases he can close in a 3 month period.

I didn't have a good experience working with Thiemann. I was referred to him by another attorney at this firm. He was my representation for a shirt while. Thiemann had me in tears & I felt like he was the opposing attorney against me when he was supposed to be helping me. He made me feel like I was stupid almost every time I talked to him.
