Justin and I sat down originally once I decided to attempt shared parenting. He was very helpful with discussing the process that needed to be done and the proper steps in doing so. Him and I always kept an open communication during this process which made it easier to respond to certain steps during this. He was overall a Great Person to work with and Fought for what he felt was right for the children in the process. Him and I put together a great case and in the end I (father) was awarded resident parent for my 2 children. Would recommend him to anyone that is going through the same thing I went through. Justin represented us in a custody battle over our non-biological granddaughter.
We received full custody.
Justin was knowledgeable, professional, but, most importantly he truly cared.
Justin listened to our input but was willing to stand his ground when he thought a different approach was in our best, overall interest.
We followed his lead, we trusted his judgement and knowledge and the result speaks for itself.

Emily represented me, a GC, on my first surrogacy journey. I was nervous for the legal stage, as I had read so many horror stories from GCs about contracts not being written well and their legal representation missing things that really should’ve been changed. I had a list of things to discuss with Emily when we received the first draft, but she had already caught almost all of the things I was going to ask about and had made notes and talked it through with me. She was always prompt in response, and did a wonderful job of explaining things if I didn’t understand. Emily is the best Ohio surrogacy lawyer one could ask for - smart, experienced, thorough, and responsive. Due to COVID, we never met with Emily in person but did video chats and email and it worked really well for us as we are in OH but not in Akron. We were intended parents and having her on our team was paramount. We did not go through an agency and Emily was with us from the beginning of this independent journey negotiating contracts with our surrogate to post-delivery. She was an amazing advocate for us. We had our questions answered very thoroughly and unexpected things were navigated with her expertise, which we appreciated very much.

Joshua is a professional lawyer, he took my case and resolve it with confidence. I had DUI and DWI charges plus reckless driving and child endergement. These last few years in have been dealing with hostage situation in the form of my Ex wife who choose to leave our marital home with our child. My previous representation IS a wreck and I had to find someone that actually could do the job.
Gina not only provided patience, logical standpoints and understanding but she also treated me like a person and not just a case or an income. Given the trash heap I brought to her in the form of my case, she did the best that she could to help clean up. She is not afraid to stand up and represent you and deflect wrong doing or poor decisions that could damage your life worse than it currently could be. If I would have stuck with my previous representation I honestly believe that I would not even have a chance to see my daughter at all.

Gina Grady of this lawy firm recently represented me for a case involving a divorce with children. She helped me settle this divorce, get a contempt against the children’s other parent for refusing visitation and in the end I got custody of my children because of their previously unstable living environment.
Both the firm and Mrs Grady were very professional and very responsive. They allowed me to do as much leg work as I could to help with the case and Mrs Grady would use all resources available, including conferring with other attorneys at the firm, to ensure that everything was handled and accurately and proficiently as possible.

After hiring an attorney and having all kinds of issues in regards to calls not being returned and dealing with incompetent office staff. We decided to look for another attorney, thankfully we found Sherry Armstrong. She was very quick in responding to our numerous questions with thoughtful and detailed texts and email. We would get responses within minutes- what a great way to treat people and run a business. Her fees were also less than our first attorney. And oh by the way, she got our charges dismissed!! Anytime you have to hire an attorney you are already stressed but in my situation, I was beyond that point. My 14 and 16 year old granddaughters had been living in a less than ideal household for the past 6 years but in NC grandparents do not have any legal rights to their grandchildren. I was 6 years into a waiting game, then a incident happened with the 16 year old. I called Austen on a Tuesday, met with him on Wednesday afternoon and on Thursday had emergency custody of my granddaughters. Since then, we have been to court and I now have permanent custody. My child has a learning disability and after being denied by the school board that they would not place my child out of district to be educated to accommodate his educational needs I needed help in getting my child in a school that was appropriate for him. I spoke with Attorney Keller and express my concerns on the denial and how i felt about my child being in a school environment that i did not feel safe about. I felt Attorney Keller understood exactly want i was seeking and what was appropriate and right concerning my child. She was right there from the onset of my case to the end. Susan has experience on both sides of the law. A former prosecutor, judge and now a defense attorney she can professionally and competently navigate the judicial system to your best advantage. She knows the in/outs of the system, what works best for you and has the experience you are in need of.
I was accused of 3rd degree assault with a domestic violence enhancer. Using her knowledge of the system, her relationships with Prosecutors and her expertise in working criminal cases, all the charges were dropped without ever going to trail. Ms Barbara is a very "no nonsense", efficient professional while still being a caring and concerned individual.I was recommended to Barbara by another attorney, and I cant express how glad I was to hire Barbara. Jennifer Matthews Is a phenomenal Lawyer. She worked with me on my Traffic (DUI ) case, and helped guide me every step of the way. She was very patience and understanding of what was a very sensitive case for me (Due to my secret clearance and military background ) . I was worried, and nervous about what was going to happen to me, and I also thought it was going to hurt my career. Jennifer was very discreet while working on my case, which was very reassuring.
Before I decided to look her up, I visited quite a few lawyers to talk about my case, and needless to say they were less than helpful. Most of them made me feel more like a number than they actually cared. I was running low on time and I went to go this one lawyer who was going to have me just take the quick and easy way out (take a deal / Plea), and was going to charge me an astronomical amount to do so. Needless to say I was thinking about just representing myself that is until I came across Jennifer Matthews name on a review website. I was going to give one last person a try, because it was starting to become draining seeing so many people and explaining the case. I started by giving her a call and talking to her on the phone, I already within 5 minutes of talking to her felt a little more at ease. To be honest I was still skeptical though, most of the people that I spoke with on the phone sounded nice and like they cared... at first. I went to meet her in person (still skeptical and nervous) and as she introduced herself and I sat down I felt more comfortable than I did with any of the other people I talked to. We reviewed my case together and discussed what my options were at that time, and what I needed to do to get the case moving forward. She was straight forwarded with me from the start. She didn’t sugarcoat anything, and she put everything on the table. I knew everything from our first meeting, which was nice. I never felt like she was going leave me hanging or charge me extra later. I really liked how she talked to me as a person, not belittling me or treating me different because of my case. I can honestly say I trusted her.
As my court date came closer, she kept in touch on a regular bases and making sure we had everything we needed for the case. I never felt unprepared nor unimportant. The day of the trial she met me at the courthouse where she was fully prepared for the case. She knew what she was doing. She kept in contact with the court the whole time. Oh and not to mention her attention to detail, she found some inconsistencies in the reports on my case, which was for my benefit. Needless to say I would consider my case a huge win and I don’t think it would have ended the way it did with any other person by my side.
