I am a 60 year old woman who worries as a hobby. Bankruptcy was a word I never thought I would have to use, never mind go through. Mr. Goldstein was kind, patient and very understanding. He and his staff helped me through the entire process, no matter how many times I called, emailed or faxed I always got an immediate response. Mr. Goldstein even took the time to meet with my daughters to answer their questions and concerns. He took the time to treat me like a person, not just a case number. I could have never survived the process without him. My case was more involved than most and his honesty and knowledge of the law helped to guide me to have a fair and equitable outcome. He was recommended to me by a friend, and I have recommended him to another friend. In these trying economic times it's good to know there is someone like Jerry Goldstein to help so many people in need.

We reached out to Andrea as homeowners who had been sold a "luxury" home which was not finished in a luxury fashion. Many short cuts taken by our builder (we bought the house in almost finished condition) and his subs and less than 1-2 years into ownership we had issues with our cement fiber siding and other areas. Once we reviewed the details of our situation with her, she felt we had a solid case and offered to represent us. We proceeded based upon her conviction that we could win. Fast forward a year plus later and we ended up mediating and settling, which we were happy about as we recouped a good portion of our out-of-pocket cost to do the renovations we discovered we would have to do. My sister and I hired Steve Grabenstein to represent us in litigation over our fathers estate. Steve and his team (Pat & Heather) were always responsive to our needs and request. I returned a product to a store owner and he claimed he would issue me a credit on my credit card once his credit card machine was working again. He never did after multiple phone calls and then sent me a bad check. Melissa wrote him a letter to "put the fear of God (or fear of lawyers, perhaps)" into him, which seemed to work, since he finally sent me a check for my refund that cleared.

Ms. Brumbach represented my firm on two separate occasions. The first as a member of a legal team who defended us against a former client. Rather than meet to discuss the concerns in person, this client was persuaded by an aggressive law firm to resolve the matter through the courts. Their incentive being the expectation of a large insurance settlement from a policy we carried at the time.
The second was as our attorney in a suit to collect fees from a client who withheld final payment for work we performed. Rather than meet to discuss, this client ceased communication.
In both instances she became familiar with the facts very quickly and developed a well conceived plan for both our defense and the merits of our claim.
We would not hesitate to engage her if the need arose once again.

I was introduced to Matt when I became very dissatisfied with the work a firm was doing for our firm. Mr. Laufar not only approached the case as requested, he also introduced other variables that resulted in a larger award. He explained parts of the law that we were not aware of at the time. Had we gone to Mr. Laufar 6 months earlier, we would have had a much larger award than obtained at the end of the case. If any follow-up work is required, we will definitely go back to Mr. Laufar and we do recommend him for any legal action.

I was up against a very high powered Washington DC law firm. The following are the reasons why Jim has earned my business, trust, confidence, and my highest rating, :
Prior to taking on my case, Attorney Amschler was committed to doing thorough research into the matter, the local statutes and practices of the court. Attorney Amschler presented me with practical information, which was well articulated giving me the confidence that he knew what he was doing and that had a clear method for developing a winning strategy.
After retaining Attorney Amschler. He spent a great deal of time reviewing the evidence for the case and writing a bulletproof complaint. I don't really want to go into specifics of my case (tl;dr it was sticky, delicate, and messy), and instead would like to focus my review on my experience with Queenie, who I hired to represent me. I'll start with results. Queenie was able to advocate for me, and I ended up with an agreement that provided me better protections. She was able to secure more for me than what I thought was possible. This is significant, especially because in these scenarios we don't always know what we can ask for. It's great to have someone in your corner who does, and will do the work to secure that for you.
The second thing I want to emphasize is how Queenie did this. She is experienced and knowledgeable, there is no doubt about that. But she also sought an environment that would give me the most leverage, using a wide range of tools and tactics. Queenie threw herself into this and was an aggressive advocate when she needed to be, and a measured advocate when it would be most beneficial to me. That was my experience with her. She also affirmed my role as the client and in the end gave me room to advocate for myself in a manner I could not before. I hope to not be in this situation again, but if I do, and for the many of us who end up here, you want someone like Queenie in your corner.
