Speaking from experience, I would highly recommend Phil Zipin, as legal counsel, to anyone who has been the subject of a wrongful discharge or discrimination in the workplace. I was careful to do my research before requesting a consultation, regarding my own case, involving disability discrimination. I am happy to share that, by the conclusion of my initial meeting with Phil, I was confident in hiring him as my attorney and his handling of my situation truly lived up to my expectations. Not only was he knowledgeable and skilled in the relevant aspects of the law, as well as both EEOC and federal court procedure, but he was also accessible, attentive, caring, easy to talk to and interested in my perspectives, throughout the case. I truly felt that we were working as a team. Thanks to Phil and his competent and effective representation, I was able to address my devastating experience with my past employer to a successful conclusion and move on with peace of mind.

Phil represented me as the plaintiff in a wrongful termination case where I sued a multi-millionaire former boss who lacked civility and integrity. A senior partner from a multinational law firm (with 4,200 lawyers) was chief defense counsel for my former boss. The firm is the largest law firm in the world -- measured by revenue and number of lawyers. Also, the firm was ranked 5th in the world by the "Sharplegal Global Elite Brand Index." Needless to say, I needed a thoroughbred lawyer -- in every sense of the word -- to represent me. What I got was that -- and more. We went to court four times during the discovery phase -- each time with the defendant's counsel seeking case dismissal or summary judgment in favor of her client. Each time, we prevailed. Ultimately, I was scheduled for 4 days of deposition. With Phil at my side, the defense chose to end my deposition after just 2 days -- requesting we enter into discussions to settle my case. After more than 4 weeks of Phil negotiating on my behalf, we settled our case for precisely what I had sought from my former boss prior to deciding to sue him, plus an appropriate amount to pay for Phil's services and expenses. Unbeknownst to me at the time, my former boss was a four-time convicted felon. He was arrested almost a year later, convicted of two additional felonies and sentenced to 3 years in federal prison. I subsequently learned that although he lost multiple times in criminal court, he had never lost or settled more than a dozen wrongful termination lawsuits brought against him over the previous 10 years. Phil Zipin is a tremendous lawyer. He brought intellectual prowess, powerful courtroom presence and a keen understanding of every aspect of my case. If I ever need the services of a premier employment law attorney in the future, Phil is the ONLY person I would engage to represent me or any member of my family. He's that good!

I don't know why some people lie when rating lawyers here.I wont. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS MAN. He advised me to withdraw my case while I could have the EEOC represent me.That was the mistake I'm regretting till today. First he wanted $425/hr before talking to me,then after I paid that he wanted $25,000.00 to represent me,someone who lost his job.I took him to the bar 3 months ago,the case's still in process, but he tried to deny evything.Unfortunely for him,I've his emails.

Working with Phil Zipin is a great experience. He is one of the the most competent attorneys I have met. His approach to the issues is very systematic and detail oriented, but at the same time very mild and confident that his case will prevail. He is a real professional. I recommend him with no reservations.

Mr. Zipin is a very sincere, virtuous and professional lawyer. For the last three years, Mr. Zipin has provided valuable but a free legal advise and service to help us develop, incorporate and grow Blessed Coffee (www.blessedcoffee.us), the Nation’s Second Benefit Corporation. Blessed Coffee is based on the philosophy, "from the farmer to your cup" and is established as a socially responsible business and trade geared towards development in coffee growing regions in Ethiopia as well as in communities in the US where coffee is sold. "Benefit Corporation," a new legislation signed into law first by the in April 2010 in the state of Maryland. The first of its kind in the nation it is a hybrid of for-profit and nonprofit models that aims for community benefits as well as profits. As a result, Mr. Zipin is the second lawyer in the Nation to help incorporate Benefit Corporation and one of the few lawyers well versed in the Benefit Corporation law. First and foremost, the greatness of Mr. Zipin’s is based on the fact that Mr Zipin listens first, then does research and studies the case before providing legal advice and service. He is direct and truthful in his communications. And, ethical in his advice and service. At the end he becomes a good friend first and then competent and professional lawyer second.
