Erika is very knowledgeable, and has a grasp of divorce law. She is very patient with clients and is able to communicate in a way that makes difficult issues a little more easy to hear. Erika is creative at problem solving. She is able to find excellent solutions to problems that fit the needs of the family even in high conflict. I hired Dick to take over a very complicated case nearly 20 years ago. My hearing date was actually on September 11, 2001 And was rescheduled when the court closed after the planes hit the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
I had a very complex & emotional case. I was young & naive & married a man I thought I knew but didn’t. He was a fantastic liar & could charm anyone by telling them exactly what they wanted to hear. He was able to convince his lawyer & mine that I was the one lying when it was him.
I had been severely injured in a car accident not long after I met him. I got a substantial settlement for my injuries & the future medical expenses, the life ahead of me of severe chronic pain and inability to earn the income I would have without the pain.
The man I married changed into someone else the moment we returned from our honeymoon.
I was foolish & naive & put all of that money in a joint account (legally making it equally his even though the accident & settlement both occurred before we got married.). My ex spent it all.
I trusted and believed he worked very long hours and traveled as needed with his job. I was focused on a series of major medical procedures like reconstruction of my jaw and face (5 surgeries and still need a titanium total joint replacement for my jaw). Having to leave my job & find another one before my short term disability ran out while getting my surgeries. I decided to finish my MBA in one semester before going back to work so was very distracted with the pain, procedures, moving and getting my MBA.
When that money was gone he turned to credit cards I was unaware of & ran up $50k in debt that I was legally half responsible for. ( Full of charges to places I had never been & things from Victoria’s Secret that I never saw.)
I was not around much & when I was I was either doing homework or resting from the constant chronic pain & series of surgeries and recovery.
He went from the perfect charming man for me telling me everything I wanted to hear & believe about him to a completely different man the day we got home from our honeymoon.
He became increasingly violent and dangerous until the day I left.
The day I left he started loading a 9mm gun while screaming at me that he would NEVER let me leave! He demanded instructions to get the money from my life insurance policy from my employer. He had a perfect plan to put my body in a wood chipper after I was dead to destroy my body & all evidence. We were needing to landscape at the new house & it was perfect to just mix my body in with the mulch. He would tell everyone I abandoned him & left everything with him.
I managed to get the loaded gun from him & ran out the door with my purse, keys, gun, the clothes on my back and — MY LIFE!
I hired a “low cost” attorney who drug things out ran up the retainer & told me I had to return the gun to my ex for HIS 2nd amendment rights.
He also got me a restraining order with my location on it! I had to move again & hire a new attorney!
I had already spent $10,000 to get nowhere.
I found Dick & he fixed everything! In court Dick & his associate had a full day of questioning my ex until he lost track of his lies. He couldn’t fight with a real man when he was used to picking on women. My ex even insulted the judge!
Dick came into a mess of a case with deadlines that had passed & I was an emotional, terrified wreck.
Dick was able to make me feel safe & return me to as close to financially & emotionally whole again as possible.
He was THE BEST Lawyer in 2001, & I can’t begin to imagine how good he is now. He saved my life literally & financially so I could get a new start.
He is worth EVERY penny!
Dick is extremely knowledgeable of the laws, he is great with negotiating in virtually impossible situations. He is tough as nails, but also sensitive to what his client is going through & gets results.

I recently went through a divorce and Mr. Rotole was recommended to me but a co-worker. Mr. Rotole was extremely knowledgeable and was not afraid to take on my strange situation as I was a resident of Colorado and my ex husband lived out of state (I am active duty military and my ex-husband was former military). Mr. Rotole and his staff were constantly keeping me informed on communications they had with my now ex-husband. Even though my ex-husband choose not to participate in the divorce Mr. Rotole and his staff made sure he was always aware of what was going on and important court dates. My ex-husband made Mr. Rotole and his staffs job difficult at times, he would claim to not have gotten documents that were sent 3 different ways, he would call yelling at the staff. Mr. Rotole and his staff were never anything but professional and accommodating. I am extremely pleased with my experience with Mr. Rotole and his staff. I hired Bruce Matez on two occasions over the last several years. The first was a contentious divorce and then, when I was faced with alimony renegotiations a few years later, I was confident calling Bruce again. He handled both situations very professionally -- he carefully explained options to me, provided his expert opinion, but did not pressure me in any direction. Bruce is very down to earth and will give you his best estimate of what is about to happen each step of the way. He is not a 'yes' man; although he is aware he is working for you, his honesty shines through even when it isn't the answer you were hoping for. I wanted to locate an attorney to work for me regarding a divorce. Interviewed several people initially. Susan spent time up front to explain the entire process in detail for me. The others did not really want to do this! I had no experience with this situation or any resources to utilize during this event. Once hired she stuck to my desired goal of getting the divorce completed quickly and efficiently. Things were moved along even as the opposition wanted to keep extending the time. I highly recommend Susan as an attorney. She represented me in my divorce and I was pleased with the agreement we reached with my ex. She was prompt with returning phone calls and emails. She was prepared and knowledgeable. Susan is very friendly but tough when she needs to be. She knows everybody at the courthouse from the clerks and security guards to judges. It was good to work with somebody so connected. Divorce is ugly, but Susan made it less so.

I picked Susan because she represented my friend's ex-wife and he said she was much better than the lawyer he had. She was very thorough, friendly, but was tough as well. I think in a divorce no one is going to get all of what they want, but the most important thing to me was joint custody of my kids and some holidays, none of which their mother wanted me to have. She also kept my ex from moving out of state with my kids and making it financially impossible for me to see them. I have recomended her to other friends.

Mr. Brindisi was our lawyer when my fiancé and I were buying a house. He was extremely helpful and worked hard to ensure our contract was acceptable. Michelle represented me during my recent divorce proceding. (I found Michele after experiencing some challenges with a different attorney). From the first meeting I appreciated Michelle's ability to cut to the key issues, her candor, straight talk and willingness to level with me on some tough topics. She demonstrated an excellent ability to provide me legal advice for the topics that had to be addressed at the moment, but took the time to explain the downstream implications and tradeoffs associated with different strategies and approaches. Divorce is a tough, emotional process and Michelle demonstrated compassion and kindness as well- she knew when to push and how to handle sensitive topics. The value of this kind of smart, objective advice was invaluable to me.
Communication was always timely, thorough and spot on the mark. She was always up to speed on the details of my case. She is not the type of lawyer who shields helfself behind a paralegal (like many do). Michelle is hands on with all aspects of the case. In dealing with divorce matters, she also had the uncanny abilit to 'do the numbers in her head' and discuss possible outcomes. No doubt this comes from experience-as a lawyer and a mediator and every time I talked with her that experience showed. She was as comfortable negotiating, as conducting a deposition as going through the trial process.
Overall, divorce (particularly in a long term marriage) is a messy ugly process that can be made even uglier and more painful with the wrong attorney.

This lady was my Second lawyer after my first lawyer dropped out of my case cuz I wouldn’t take the 3to6 months of probation for a gun that I had Concealed next to me the police were rong and miss Taylor had my case dropped olny two days on the case and she got it dropped for me and I just got my 380 back from the police property room thank u so much for fighting for me and Doing your job honestly miss Taylor u are a blessing and I’m keeping her number in my phone just in case can’t thank Tanisha Taylor Enough wish she was here so I can give her a big big hug

I am so grateful to have found and been accepted as a client by this firm! I needed a divorce from a volatile and unpredictable person. Jim and Diana kept everything very professional and as calm as possible. Even from our first interview Jim was concerned with my safety, he spent his own time going over safety practices with me. Throughout the process Jim kept me current with all events. He prepared me and my case for the worst scenario to get the best results, should that happen. He explained the laws that were applicable and how a judge would view my case. Luckily the other party was a final no-show and we got a best scenario result. Regarding fees and billing, Jim and Diana kept very accurate accounting of time and effort spent on my behalf and all were included in my billing statements. I really expected the costs to be higher and was worrying about how I was going to afford them. Due to their efficiency the costs were more than reasonable and I am able to budget them in. I disagree with a previous reviewer who says Jim is only after $$$'s, Jim does his business to help people and asks only to paid commensurately . He is honest and up front about his fees and intentions. I know that he spent unpaid time on the phone and in person with me. If I could I would rate this firm 10 stars out of 5!!

I went in to see Mr. Lionberger for a case, while also having a different attorney for an unrelated case. I wish I had not already retained an attorney for my other case when I walked out of his office so that he would take over it as well. I even thought about forfeiting my retainer on the other attorney very heavily. I highly recommend.

I've dealt with other attorneys with my previous auto accident cases and my experience with attorney Ed Harper has been absolutely great. Previously, dealt with attorneys who's best interests were to claim what they can and get their cut and not much of sincere concern when it comes to client. Also when the case is not big enough, they would simply close the case rapidly without much concerns of client's well-being. Attorney Harper was not one of them. Marguerite is the best lawyer you can get. We had a very difficult and complex case together, no one else could have won. She was always spot on, and her advice and strategy has been excellent.
