Jeff protected me and my children throughout a complicated divorce. I wanted to be with my two kids at least half of their growth time. Jeff helped me secure my half-time physical custody to father by two kids. He explained my different options very clearly to me and helped me decide the best option (for both short and long terms) and the best approach drawn from his decades-long experience. Recently used New Hope Divorce Mediation, in particular Mindey Elgart, to handle my no contest divorce. It was a very pleasant process, given the situation, and went smoothly from the beginning to the end. After the initial meeting where we discussed all the details, we met one more time to finalize the settlement agreement. After that there was a 90 day waiting period. During all that time, Mindey and her office was very diligent at sending us all the paperwork and explaining everything step by step, when and how to properly sign and mail all the documents to the court. After the 90 day waiting period, it just took another 2 months to receive the divorce decree from the judge. I would highly recommend Mindey and New Hope Divorce Mediation to others to handle their divorce case.

I hired Lenore about 18 months ago after firing 3 other attorneys....the last of which nearly bankrupted me when he failed to file
an appeal of an outrageous child support award.
There are many attributes of Lenore that are really rare in divorce attorneys:
* non-confrontational
* high attention-to-detail
* outgoing and friendly
* reasonably rate given her high quality of service
She handled my case with high level of professionalism.
Lenore represented me at both a master's level and then a judge's level for equitable distribution.
In both cases, she was well prepared and very convincing in these hearings...especially the latter where there were nearly 10,000 pages of documentation.
She arrived at the court house with a luggage carrier holding nearly 4 FEET of documents !
Her performance was exemplary thanks to careful preparation.
When the hearing was over, we walked out of the courthouse and she gave me a big hug as we said goodbye !

I first met with Raunak when someone else was representing me in my divorce. By the end of my consultation with him, it was clear that Raunak is a breed apart from other attorneys. It is really night and day.
My divorce was so messy and my first attorney made the mess even worse instead of fixing problems. Raunak changed the whole direction of my case. It was such a breath of fresh air. Anyone who has had to go to family court knows just how stressful it is. A big part of the stress is worrying whether your attorney will really help you achieve a favorable outcome. Another concern is wondering, "Will my attorney make my case a priority, or will I be just be another client that he/she can barely keep track of?" All these concerns vanished after I started working with Raunak Kothari. At every step of the way, Raunak put me at ease with his knowledge and attentiveness. Thanks to his experience, he was able to point out so many considerations that had never occurred to me. Apart from making me feel like a priority, Raunak ran circles around opposing counsel. My ex-husband and I were introduced to Mary in january of 2017. At that time things were very rocky for the two of us and we were not agreeing on much. The demeanor and ease of Mary's mediation with both of our lawyers present was so calming and effective. We both left that session feeling as tho we wished we had went straight with mediation and chosen Mary from the beginning. In May of 2017 my ex and I decided that another mediation session was in our best interest. We contacted Mary and she was able to get us in right away. This session was very different than the first. It was just my ex and I with Mary no lawyers present at that time. She sat and listened to us ... presented us with what she heard and where we needed to go. It was the ideal situation in any custody/divorce matter. Calm, collected and easy. We settled in an hours time. She fairly charged us and promised to always be a resource to the two of us in the future if necessary. Fast forward to my settlement hearing ... I ran into her at the court house and was nervous and worried because my attorney was late. She gave me a hug told me how impressed she was by the coparenting my ex and I were doing and insured me that everything would be ok. She also said that she would represent me if need be. She is amazing!! I will always be grateful to her for helping us during this awkward and heart wrenching time. Would recommend to anyone!

Mary was fantastic in helping me get my daughter who was 6 years old at the time out of an extremely unsafe situation. Mary is smart, trustworthy, personable, tough and knows the law. She is great in the court room and it did not matter that I was a man trying to rescue my daughter, she cared about what was best for my daughter. Glenn was able to secure a substantial settlement from a health insurance company based on a contract dispute. The case settled before commencing arbitration resulting in significant savings in time and legal expenses. If you have any kind of personal injury claim in California, individually or as part of a class, you need to hire Chris and Kevin Moon. It's that simple.
As a business and employment litigation attorney for both plaintiffs and defendants with more than 70 jury trials under my belt, I know the difference between "litigators" and real trial attorneys. The former are all too common in our profession, adept only at pushing paper, filing motions, and acting like keyboard warriors. But when cases fail to settle and trial looms, those kinds of lawyers find themselves staring into an abyss. Kim Surratt is not only a great lawyer, she's a good person. She walked me through the hell that was my divorce, counseled me through the difficult decisions about the children, custody, child support, etc. and helped keep from going crazy when everything in my life was upside down. Divorces suck. There's no way around that. Having someone on my side that was empathetic to what I was going through, but was able to maintain a business mind about the whole thing was crucial to me making good decisions and not fighting just to fight because I was pissed. I've been back several times because of custody issues, and she's helped me navigate the ridiculousness of a crazy ex who happens to be the mother of my kids. Angela was my lawyer in a domestic violence restraining order case. I called several lawyers in the Bay Area while looking for a good fit, and Angela by far made the best impression on me. The first time we spoke on the phone, we spoke for quite a while at no charge. She went through how she would handle the case and I was impressed with her strategy. It was evident that she really cared about my situation, as was not out to just make money. She even gave me the name of another lawyer that did sliding scale work in case I needed a lower-cost option. In the end, I went with Angela, and I am so glad that I did! She was always on top of things, has a very solid knowledge of family law, was always prompt, and always had a solid strategy for how to move forward. During the entire case, the opposing counsel was trying everything possible to make the process harder for me, and frequently dragged their feet on things that needed to get done in the case. Angela took over several tasks that really should have been the responsibility of the opposing counsel because she wanted the best outcome possible. She did not even charge me for these things, which was very generous.
In the end, Angela was simply a much better lawyer than the opposing counsel and was able to negotiate a settlement, which saved me a lot of money. Everything that I wanted Angela was able to get for me, including a long-term restraining order and required anger management for the respondent. Angela was even able to get a significant part of my lawyers fees paid for by the opposing side. I could not have gotten nearly as much without her.
This was an extremely difficult situation for me to deal with, but Angela made me feel like there was someone on my side. If you are looking for a family lawyer, you will be hard pressed to find someone better than Angela.
