My experience with Jeffrey Scott was limited to a quick phone call, but he was able to provide more useful information than I was able to find through hours of self-directed research. I called Jeffrey P. Scott & Associates, LLC looking for lawyer to help with a home renovation dispute. My knowledge of law is limited, and It turns out that they do not specialize in my type of case, but Jeff was able to provide a means to finding a law firm that fit my needs, concisely gave useful advice, and most importantly educated me on a few of the finer points of my dispute. I will definitely be going to Jeffrey P. Scott & Associates, LLC if I ever need services related to estate planning.

Amanda was very helpful in making sure we understood what was being discussed. We felt like she did a good job of explaining as well as addressing questions that we had. The other thing that we liked is there was no billing by the hour. It was just a flat rate for the service. The best thing about working with the firm was the effort they took to make sure we understood what was being discussed and addressing our questions. We were able to schedule an appointment easily. In terms of personal interactions they’re very professional and friendly.

I think Katherine’s top notch, I was very impressed. They are professional and efficient in completing their work. I was very impressed with the people that worked there. The front desk staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Katherine was very efficient, knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and understanding in the changes that we were making. My husband and I were a little bit hesitant about what firm to use in light of the fact that we are a gay married couple. We never felt a bit of uneasiness there. When we were done with the work, we were handed a three ring binder with all of the estate planning documents. It was very well organized, very professional, well presented and put together. It was also very concise showing you step by step what was needed (contact these people, do this this way etc…). We had done estate planning before and this was by far the most professional end product that we’ve ever gotten. Katherine’s firm had documentation that was clear and concise. When we got there she had completely reviewed everything and was thoroughly ready to meet with us. I was very impressed with that.

The best thing about working with Katherine was having the feeling that we have our matters in order. She helped us understand by walking us through scenarios until we found the one that would benefit us best. I feel comfortable now and that would be a reason why I would recommend them. She is patient enough to go through things with you until you understand. I feel that she was thorough, approachable, friendly, and patient. When we interjected with questions she would always take the time to ensure we understood the process. I really appreciated that. Overall they were professional and timely. Once we met with her I liked that she took the time to get to know us to gain an understanding of where we were coming from. Some places dive right into the business end of things. I appreciate that she took a little bit of time to get to know us.

Katherine is very knowledgeable in the subject matter, which is will and estate planning. She did a nice job putting everything together and keeping it neat and orderly. She made it easy for my wife and me to understand. She made recommendations on things that we hadn’t thought about, as we weren’t aware of them. She saved us from potential errors, significant time issues, frustration issues, and potential tax issues. Everything was done in a very professional way. She was accessible, and her communication skills were great. The best thing is that we could relate. She communicated in a way that we could understand. She was very efficient and organized. The communication was very good. Thanks again for taking the time to help Katherine and the firm, it's much appreciated!

It was always pleasant. We described our situation and Amanda identified several points we needed to consider. She was assisting us with several estate planning documents. She asked the right questions to determine what we really needed. She identified all the pieces we needed to put in place and consider for our second meeting during our first meeting. The process flowed very smoothly. The best thing was the sense that attention was being paid to what we actually needed in the process. I needed some form of vetting of the firm. The fact that Amanda was giving a course at the local level on estate planning under the auspices of the school district helped. I had to choose between three or four firms and went with this one.

I first met Katherine at a University of St. Thomas alumni event where she was on a panel discussing financial health for women. I was intrigued by her presentation as I I hadn't really thought of estate planning at my age. As a single woman in my mid-30's who owns a home I didn't think that I would need a will. Boy, was I wrong! Prior to and during our consultation, Katherine provided me with forms to fill out and information on my options. Her responses and our discussions were very detailed and informative. I met other lawyers in the office and they were also extremely friendly and very welcoming. I feel informed and confident that if something happened to me, everything will be taken care of. I highly recommend Katherine and Jeffrey Scott & Associates.

I needed an attorney to help me revise my trust. I worked with Katherine at Jeffery P. Scott & Associates and had a great experience. She was very knowledgable and made the process very easy. She was astute, professional and appreciative of the potential sensitivity of this type of discussion. Jeff was extremely knowledgeable, we both enjoyed working with him, and his price was reasonable. What more can you ask for? Jeff Scott prepared Living Trusts for us, POAs, updated Healthcare Directives and other accompanying documents in January 2015. I’ve worked with 3 other estate planning attorneys in the past and this was my best experience. Jeff really listened to what we wanted to do, raised some excellent points and offered sound advice. Working with him was a very pleasing process. I felt his hourly rate was competitive; he accomplished things efficiently and we were very pleased with the final result. I urged my two oldest children to work with Jeff and recommend him to anyone else looking for estate planning help.
