Attorneys…I know what you’re thinking. And to top it it off, I just re-watched the movie, “Erin Brockovich”, and although the movie is about the largest legal action (in terms of settlement) against corporate crime of its time, it’s really about compassion and the courage it takes at times to fight for the innocent. This is how I think about Shook & Stone. They were my ‘Erin Brockovich’! In a perfect world, insurance companies wouldn’t squabble, low-ball, or take advantage of those of us with little to no legal savvy; rather, they would do what we pay them to do—take care of us without any reservations. I’m not saying they should give every injured person a million dollars. But is it so hard to ensure that the injured are as recovered as they can be and provide them with any financial means to return their lives to a level of normal they had prior to their accident? Is this too much to expect from insurers? In reality, we know this is not the case. Everything is about cutting as many corners as possible to appease your CEO, the board, and your investors. This ‘philosophy’ is so prevalent in our very fabric that we even see it portrayed in animated features like “The Incredibles”. So where do you turn when all else fails and your insurance company is sending you to one of “their” specialists to deem you “fully recovered” or “MMI” (although this is an acronym for maximum medical improvement, it really means we’re not paying for any more of your rehabilitation even though you’re still recovering and in pain and really can’t go back to work)…sound familiar? I hope you can turn to an office of advocates with one goal in mind—your physical, emotional, mental, and socioeconomic recovery! For me, that was Shook & Stone.

In regards to the service that I received today picking up my check that for sure is five stars however in the bigger picture I did not necessarily get return calls for all the times that I called and left message. Other than that the people were professional and overall a pretty good experience but in regards to getting any questions answered in person and or via email or text it could be improved.

My mom has been with these lawyers since the beginning of her case to the very end and they have always had some type of mistake or disprespect towards my mom first she had an attorney who would constantly scream at her and never inform her of anything. She had gone to the main attorney to see if he could help and he assigned her to a different attorney my mom thought that this attorney would be a lot more helpful, she would call to speak with her attorney “lluvia” and she would never be in office or never be available she would constantly be late with responding with my mom regarding court dates, court information and court responses this is honestly the worst place.

Excellent service and support. Definitely first class. There for me every step of the way. Thank you all
