I really appreciated how straight forward they made the estate planning process. They made everything understandable and followed up consistently which gave me confidence that our plan was what we set out to achieve. I also appreciated that our plan was a fixed fee effort - it meant I never thought twice about communicating with my attorney for fear of generating another charge! I would highly recommend Fitzwater to anyone looking for estate planning services!

We just updated our very complicated Trust, which was established with Fitzwater Law in 2014; and we are so relieved to have it fit to our specific needs so perfectly. Attorney Andrea Bachhuber was so knowledgeable, helpful and patient as we sorted and decided just how our estate should be distributed on our demise. We just can't say enough good about Melanie Marmion! She really knows what she's doing, and she's able to convey what's needed to those of us who don't have law degrees. She treated our disabled son with the utmost respect, and she spoke with him as the client--which he was--instead of speaking exclusively with us. She followed up on each detail along the way, so we felt like we were part of the process. After having worked with other attorneys, I can say that she's refreshingly unusual in her approach. We didn't feel any of the usual "I'm the authority" condescension that we've experienced before. You should definitely hire her!

We worked with Emily Hogan years ago to create our first will, and when we needed to update it, Emily was very easy to work with and helpful for the entire process. Additionally, we wanted to update the will right in the middle of the 2020 pandemic, and we were pleased with all the precautions taken in setting up our no-contact signing at their office. Emily and her assistant Kacy were both super organized and thorough, and we were in and out in 15 minutes. Highly recommend them for any estate planning needs!

To Whom It May Concern: My association with Fitzwater Law resulted from being the personal representative of my brother’s estate. I was blessed that Emily Pringle was the attorney assigned to help me with the process of completing the estate. My brother’s estate was complicated from the start. Not only was his will particular and detailed as he left all he had (down to listing even his hand tools) to specific designees. He had also accumulated a fair amount of wealth and property. The distribution of these assets to fourteen organizations and individuals involved a detailed set of calculations which revolved around estimated property valuations. Since my brother didn’t leave any residual to pay for the estate expenses, deductions had to be made from each account to fund the estate closing costs. In closing the estate, Emily successfully handled objections to the estate settlement that occurred from my brother’s wife and stepdaughter. Also, one of the organizations ended up no longer existing, and she gave valuable advice as to the proper disposition of the unclaimed gift. In all honesty, the number of moving parts was staggering, and every piece was handled very well. Throughout the process, the team at Fitzwater Law, and especially, Emily handled each of the numerous challenges with fantastic professionalism and skill. Emily’s knowledge is unsurpassed in this area of law. Aside from all of the challenges throughout my brother’s estate, I have to admit I found that Emily’s compassion was very welcome. I found numerous times that I relied not only on her knowledge but more so on her kindness and concern as I not only was dealing with the details of the estate but with the feelings from the loss of my brother and aggressive family members.
