I recently retained Charles Lloyd to represent me in my complex, double-felony sex-offender registration violation case.
Both Charlie Lloyd and his partner at LLOYD & NASH, Michael Nash, met with me multiple times to understand the urgencies and sensitivities of my case and hear my concerns. They researched case law and worked behind the scenes with court officials, and within 48 hours, we had all options and concerns on the table.
In fact, Charlie and Michael were able to persist even after two other legal firms were unable to handle this sensitive case that was destined to send me to prison for 5 years. Even though it was exceedingly difficult to face what I considered unscrupulous authorities and changing procedures for these publicly-abhorrent charges, I was well advised to plead. In fact, as a result, Charlie and Michael were able to reduce my legal exposure to a probationary period.
Indeed, exceptional communication, great persistence and strong personal connections resulted in an outcome beyond all expectations, especially given the difficulties of navigating court proceedings with these publicly abhorrent charges.

I have been a client of Mr. Lloyd since the passing of Kenneth Carrington from whom Mr. Lloyd expanded his client base upon taking over Mr. Carrington's practice. I was fortunate enough to count myself among them.
As a troubled teen and into my 20s - 30s between Mr. Carrington and Mr. Lloyd I on occasion required their services.
I must say that I have never been disappointed and have always without fail received top notch legal representation and most often a better than expected outcome.
I couldn't complain if I tried, because there simply isn't anything that I can see that could've been done better to insure the best possible outcome with respect to my needs and just the all around ease with witch things are handled by Mr. Lloyd and his more than capable staff.

I wish I could fully convey my thoughts about Scott. Scott took on my case midway through the process when my previous attorney quit my divorce. I found myself in a really bad spot having to find a new attorney that was willing to go to trial with a judge that was not in my favor, and against my ex’s attorney who was free. Scott had good graces knowing that I came from an attorney that honestly loathed him, and he took up my banner in the middle of his heavy case load. I cannot tell you how indebted to him and his team for making the impossible possible.
By the time my trial came my case had been completely revamped. His partner Mckail worked diligently on my exhibits for my case and spent the time to really prepare all my witnesses before trial. We walked in to court with a better case than I had in the last year, and Scott’s acumen in the trial was shrewd and well informed. His arguments consistently met with the approval of the judge, and he deftly handled my ex’s attorney when they tried to sneak in testimony that was underhanded.
In the end I got what I fought for two years for, my kids and the equal right to be involved in their lives. My children and I are the direct benefactors of Scott’s skills and help. I absolutely give my recommendation to Scott as an attorney worth working with.

During the few months that my case was processed, Jason went the extra mile to help me to understand exactly what my situation involved. He took the time to relieve my concerns and explain in terms I could understand, exactly what my options were. A few months back my ex and I got into an argument and before I knew it she had called the police. I ended up in jail and was arrested for domestic abuse, assault and battery. The charge against me was a misdemeanor hit and run. I was very nervous and fearful, because I have never been in trouble with the law. I knew right away that I had to find a knowledgeable attorney who truly cared about representing me to the best of their ability. I interviewed multiple lawyer's and found that most of them were all talk and no action. After interviewing Mr. Lipton and reviewing my case together, i was immediately relieved. He explained, in detail, what every section of the police report meant in a clear and concise manner. He was prompt and kept me informed on a constant basis. He also comforted me and made me feel at ease. I felt like a human being, not a criminal like other attorney's made me feel.

I am a business owner who has lived primarily out-of-state since 1981. I have a second home in Minnesota. My situation occurred in 2017, after a cop harassed me for nearly an hour in a parking lot. Unfortunately, this occurred in a suburb whose cops are notorious for harassing innocent people. I was "guilty" of driving with expired plates, and knew it; I'd been out of town working, forgot to renew the plates on the car I keep in Minnesota. I apologized to the cop but he continued harrassing me. Oddly, he did not write me a ticket. Instead, he spent nearly all of his time asking me irrelevant personal questions (e.g., about other cars I own but do not drive).
Months later, I received a court document that I did not understand. According to the document, I was facing several thousands of dollars in fines and a jail sentence. Without hesitation, I retained Mr. Sessoms. The conclusion was that the judge let me off with a year's probation- no fine, no jail time. This would not have happened without Faison Sessoms's exceptional creative thinking and guidance. An important PS is that I have twice before seen Mr. Sessoms in action; throughout the years. I don't know of another Minnesota attorney with his experience- he really knows his way around the court systems- and knowledge of this state's judges. (It was actually a retired judge who recommended him to me.) I have not hesitated to recommend his services to others, who were equally pleased with his services- and hence I am doing so, now. Without Westbrook I would be sitting in prison tonight. I have worked with her for over a year on my case and when I say that, what I mean is: she has dealt with me for over a year and worked on my case.
Westbrook is the definition of left field, she comes up with stuff out of no where that makes you feel stupid for never thinking of yourself. In my year with her I definitely thought I finally had an idea of what sort of attorney she was and how she operates. NOPE! She suits up for court and it’s as if you hired a whole different woman! There were times in that court room I’d sworn I saw a cape around her. This woman is absolutely amazing and I owe my life to her, if I ever get falsely accused again there is no one else I would ever go to. EVER. If I moved across the country I’d make her get licensed there just to be my defense again.
I gave this poor woman absolute hell for things that had nothing to do with her at times and yet she’d be up until 3am working on my case. She can seem a bit unorthodox but let me assure you there is a method to her madness and you do not want to be the one going against her in a court room because she works in the most unpredictable ways and then suddenly brings it all together and by the time you realize what she did it’s already over. I’m not saying I trust the process, but I do trust her and her process.

Three years ago I was wrongfully convicted of crimes I did not commit. After winning an appeal I was assigned Westbrook. I was a problem client, I did not wanna wave my sixty day speedy trial rights to give her more time to work on my case all I saw was the thirty months I had been wrongfully imprisoned. Westbrook did her best and actually won my case and got me released from custody.
