I would recommend Doug Kertscher. He was professional at all times whether it be communicating with myself or opposing counsel. He always made sure to listen and take the time to understand and if he didn't understand something I was trying to communicate he would ensure to keep asking questions until he did. Doug also always ensured to have any information confirmed by myself before sending to any outside parties making sure I agreed to what was being said before hand. Very thankful for his services.

Borrower beware. If your lender is using them as counsel, they will charge you exorbitantly, not provide any type of back up to account for their billing and fail to be accountable. I would highly recommend you ask for other counsel!

I was referred to this firm from a trusted source. I called in to have Bill Seike represent me for a DUI case and I was handed off to another attorney Faustine Fillamone without my consent. From the beginning I expressed to Bill my issues with Faustine and he assured me that she was knowledgeable. As I expected through my experience with her she was not knowlable and poorly presented my case in court as if it was her first time in a court house. It was if I didn't have an attorney. She gave me the wrong information and I got all the things a first time offender would receive after extensive hours of work I did prior to my court date. I emailed both Faustine and Bill after the court hearing to advise how displeased I was and that Faustine gave me the wrong information or my court requirements and they never responded to my emails. I had to go to court myself the following week and resolve the issues. Save your money and run from this firm.

I wouldn't even give a star if I could I would give NEGATIVE !!! This man absolutely wasted my time and pretty much took my money. He swore up and down I shouldn't have even been arrested and how we were going to win well as soon as I paid him he never kept in touch nor would he call back every time we went to court he had no idea about my extremely SIMPLE case and ended up threatening me to plea guilty which if I knew then what I know now I never would have done so. My public defender later on said he could've gotten me off for free!!! I literally called for someone overdosing and had picked up their spoon well I got felony possession for it even tho it was just residue and I had nothing in my system...he told me if I fought it and didn't just plea guilty that they'd send me to prison which is BS it's mandatory probation and again the good Samaritan law should have made this not even happen...sorry for the novel I just don't want anyone else to ever have to lose out on money and time in their life they'll never get back as I have done over two years because of this...oh and I never even had a ticket prior to this!!!

I had a simple task I needed help with. Maybe it was not the type of case they take, but there was no need to be rude, arrogant or dismissive. And what kind of lawyer encourages people not to file a harassment complaint when they have endured a decade of harassment and intimidation? I felt so discouraged after speaking to them and after what I had to endure, it was completely uncalled for.

and not enough substance to our consultation. His assistant Wendy is clever; she'll never let you get a question in edge-wise, so she can't later be accused of lying to you. Their engagement letter is pretty much boilerplate/generic...never did we discuss how much I might recover. This guy Ricotta is probably the laziest person on the planet - he asks for $15k retainer, and doesn't even address what you want.

Whatever you do, do not hire this law firm. Tom ricotta is as crooked as they come and should be held criminally responsible for his business practices. You’ll end up with 10x more problems than you started off with. He will take your retainer, and then work against you in a way that appears that he’s working on your case in your best interest when in reality, he’s working against you.
Eg; file incorrectly, and wait until the last minute to present a case that will get dismissed for reasons he expects you to not understand.
I hired Tom ricotta on retainer and after submitting payment, he completely disappeared. He did everything in his power to malinger the submission after being completely unresponsive for weeks and months at a time. I was still working for the employer at the time and he did everything in his power to help and let them harm me as hard as they wanted without even answering/returning a call or email. He intentionally left out key aspects of the legal argument (wrongful termination, unpaid wages etc..) and strictly focused on submitting subpar discrimination case in this undermining Manner that would get dismissed. I had to spend the entire time getting attacked and retaliated on by the employer while he disappeared and allowed them, then he tried to help them get away with all these different tactics expecting me to not to understand. He waited until the last minute to dump projects in me with work he was supposed to be doing. He would surprise me with requirements at the last minute intentionally, hoping I wouldn’t be able to gather or produce what was needed to officially prove my claims or produce something that he could justify being my fault. That’s just one example of the underlying theme. The guy completely would try and mess up the case and undermine me and blame me. His intention the whole time was to burn the statute of limitations and submit a bogus claim that he understands will get dismissed but it looks like he’s fighting in your best interests. He knows what he’s doing, because he tried everything in his power to avoid me until the last minute so that after he was done blowing the case, I wouldn’t have enough time to hire someone else to legitimately address it. He works for the employer and what he does is criminal, he understands what he’s doing and he also understands how hard it will be for the people he scams to come after him or do anything to fix the damage he caused to the case in time, if you’re smart enough to even figure it out. He will blow you off and avoid you until the last minute until he can submit a case that will get dismissed and still get credit for making pretend he represented you on a case that just didn’t work out, instead of what really happened, which is he work both sides at the same time, breaching his fiduciary responsibilities and committing fraud. Good luck trying to get in touch with him while it’s happening.
Tom ricotta claims he represents employees but instead he prays in the vulnerable client base that are in need of assistance. He hopes you won’t understand the legal proceeding or anything to do with law so he can take advantage if you. I swear on everything holy it felt like I employed their lawyer because of so many factors, such as the way he would undermine my claims after he took my money and spent months pretending to be working in my case. It felt like he was relaying information about me and the case to the employer the way the employer would react to information I spoke to him about immediately.
Tom ricotta is the biggest con artist and he uses his knowledge of law to take advantage of people that employ him clearly expecting them to be unaware of what he's actually doing. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT hire Tom ricotta

The experience received by attorney Trevor Hatfield was phenomenal, to say the least. Although borrowing the motto from another familiar business due to it's ideal application, I must say, I immediately knew we were in good hands!
We approached the elevator and took it to Hatfield and associates offices. Suddenly, surrounded by glistening white walls beautifully garnished with interior floral decorum, I felt encompassed within a style of professionalism and class. The leather seats were comfortable and of quality. Even the cylindrical glass tabletop shone so immaculately, you'd have felt comfortable eating food served directly upon it!
The ladies at the front desk were pleasant. We did not wait long before Mr. Hatfield invited us beyond the door into a private conference room. Trevor Hatfield was clearly a gentleman of stature and wisdom, an asset to his trade. His skilled approach to the issue at hand was reassuring, and suddenly we took comfort for the first time, knowing that things will work out exactly as they should!
Mr. Hatfield was thorough, went over every detail of the case, explained our options, and confirmed we understood what was needed to move forward successfully. There is no doubt his representation is top notch. Hatfield is an attorney who won't nickel and dime you; he genuinely cares about doing the job well and taking proper care of his clients.
Trevor Hatfield has been a recipient of the city's recognition, and was awarded as such. He was readily referred by other colleagues within the same field and he takes the time to adhere to each case in order of finding an appropriate solution. He is worth the expense of a high priced lawyer, while willing to help those who are justified in their predicament.
I wanted an attorney of moral integrity who was truly discerning. Hatfield's shrewd observational ability and keen eye for detail quickly identified convolution dwelling behind the veil built by a condescending company. Hatfield uncovers corruption beyond efforts to keep it hidden. He is one of the good guys, ready to support cases, big or small. Within our current world's state of affairs, he found the silver lining within a formerly bleak situation. We were victims of a targeted circumstance, and now may finally obtain recourse!
There is hope because of individuals such as Hatfield; he stands for justice and truth, and in that, no failure could exist. I commend your firm and highly recommend your services to anyone who needs solid representation pertaining to any area within the vast field of employment law.

I was asking him to help me with my id theft paperwork with this gis company to help me get a job, cause the items on my credit report are false, it took him forever to get back with me, once he got some of my paperwork, he just decided to not ask for more of my paperwork and told me he cant help me, I asked for a referral, he ignored me, I am sick and tired of being thrown around like a rag doll! I wouldn't recommend him to anyone I know.

We hired Ms. Holman to represent our son with an employment-related case. She was pleasant at first, almost too pleasant. She called my husband back a few times to follow up and see if we were interested in meeting with her to discuss things further. This should have been the first red flag. Any attorney with time to follow up with prospective clients must not have a full caseload, and there is a reason for that. We read the reviews here on Yelp and thought we'd give her a chance anyway...big mistake. Once she was paid in full for her services we never heard another thing from Ms. Holman. She also allowed our son's case to expire with the EEOC 90-day cutoff, which ruined his chances for recourse through the legal system against his previous employer. In addition, she never assisted our son with receiving the unemployment funds she claimed she could get for him. She is filled with promises and pumps herself up to be this amazing attorney, but she fails to meet the high level of expertise/standards she claims she has. We filed a grievance against her with the State Bar of Nevada, to which they sent her a letter requesting her response. In addition, we sent her a demand letter (via certified mail and email) for payment in full. As of today, she has returned all of our original funds. I would never recommend her to anyone for representation. Unless you like headaches and irritation, it is our opinion that it would be highly beneficial to avoid any of the so-called services she offers.

I would give 0 stars if I could. The woman is a straight up thief. I paid 250 for a consultation. She said she could assist me with a letter to start on my behalf but required a 1,000 retainer. I paid the fee and she literally disappeared. First she would answer my emails with excuses. Then she stopped answering me all together. Absolutely atrocious. Do not use this woman for any service. I have reported her to the bar association and will be taking her to court for my money back. Worst attorney I’ve ever come across and not professional at all.

Around mid July of 2023, I had met with Gene Adkins from Hitchcock Law PLLC to formally sign the appropriate papers to be filed with the courts to establish my deceased grandmothers estate. Up until this point, all interactions with Gene and Hitchcock Law were timely and professional with no cause for concern. Approximately one week later 6/26/2023 Hitchcock Law deposited the $2,000 retainer check as requested and discussed during our initial in person meeting. Since sending payment to Hitchcock Law, the estate papers were filed with the court but quickly rejected due to an oversight from Gene which took place on 7/12/2023. It was not until 8/12/2023 that I had reached out for an update to be informed that there was an issue and new papers needed to be submitted; no communication on behalf of Gene or Hitchcock Law. Since then, I was told new e-sign documents would be sent over to make the requested corrections, and two months have since passed and there has been absolutely no progress. ZERO communication has been initiated by Hitchcock Law in regards to these concerns. $2,000 dollars and almost 6 moths later I am still at ground zero; a complete waste of time.

After growing up having an isolated childhood with negligent parents, I always wondered what playing peekaboo would be like. Thankfully, the McCarty legal team gave me an approximation of that feeling with their communication, leaving every 3-month-late reply to my emails saying they were “working on the case” and would “get back to me” filling me with genuine surprise and excitement, much like the plot twist in a good book. Over those two years I worked with Jennifer I wondered “will Jennifer get the milk? Or will it expire before my statute of limitations?” And that thought superseded the angst and pain that was originally brought about by my unlawful termination case. Thanks McCarty legal!
I only had to email the office receptionist a copy of my contract to prove I was a client once and, when I requested Jennifer call me back, they asked for my name. I responded “Ben Esgar” and they said, “ok but which one is your last name?” Very thorough work!
In all seriousness, this one star review is to symbolize the reader of this review, not the firm; for you, dear reader, are the one star of your case and you deserve better than McCarty Legal. I would rather have my life depend on a trial with Judge Judy presiding and my jury be comprised of the hyenas from Disney’s “Lion King” than work with Jennifer again.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I contacted the office on February 12th of 2023. I submitted my paperwork within 24 hours after receiving a document to fill out. I called back two weeks later , and I was told they were working on it. Today, I contacted them. It still hasn't been looked at (even though it's been TWO MONTHS) and and I was told I should just "look elsewhere for an attorney." If I had received a denial in a timely matter, I could have already done that. This was a total opposite of what I read on Google, and I am very disappointed with this firm.

She was defending us in a civil lawsuit, we were paying her, and then she stopped answering emails, texts, the phone, etc. Just went dark. Just dropped us. We lost our case. We wanted to sue her, but were told IL does not require attorneys to get malpractice insurance and it would be a waste of our time and money. If you hire her, demand she show you a policy.

Lisa Stauff was my attorney for many years so I know her well. She was consistently very difficult to communicate with, sometimes taking a few months to get back to me about my case.
But the worst is that after paying her thousands of dollars over the years, she failed to reply to the court on a motion to dismiss my case. The Judge gave Lisa multiple chances to file a reply but she failed to do so. The Judge had no choice but to dismiss my case.
On top of that, Lisa has not even communicated the dismissal of my case to me. I had to write the Judge to find out the status of my case and its been two years.
