Review of Attorney Jeremy Evans:
I sought representation from Attorney Jeremy Evans to navigate a highly complex CPS case involving the termination of my parental rights (TPR). Unfortunately, my experience with Mr. Evans did not meet my expectations, and I feel it’s important to share this feedback for anyone considering his services.
Lack of Attention to Constitutional Violations:
One of my primary concerns was that crucial constitutional issues were not presented in my case, which ultimately impacted the outcome. I repeatedly requested that Mr. Evans raise these violations, which included concerns about due process and fair representation. However, despite my insistence and evidence in the form of email exchanges, he assured me it was unnecessary. This omission was critical, as the Iowa Supreme Court later declined to review my case, in part due to the absence of these constitutional arguments.
Lack of Communication and Transparency:
Throughout the case, I felt that communication was insufficient. Important updates were often delayed, and I was not fully informed about strategic decisions or options available to us, especially in moments that could have impacted my case’s direction. Clear and transparent communication is essential in such sensitive matters, and I believe this is an area where improvement is needed.
Limited Advocacy for My Parental Rights:
In a CPS case as delicate as this, I expected my attorney to be proactive and fully committed to advocating for my parental rights. While every case has complexities, I felt that my perspective and wishes for my children’s well-being and placement were not adequately represented or fought for in court.
Overall Experience:
Given the outcome of my case, I cannot, in good faith, recommend Attorney Jeremy Evans for cases involving parental rights and CPS. Legal representation should involve not only skill and knowledge but also dedication to the client’s rights and a commitment to raising essential issues when they arise.

Ware has now represented/advised me on 4 different legal matters, and two of them were not a formal engagement, but just reflective of his hidden compassion, whereas he never asked for a penny for his attentive help to educate my engaged attorney’s that only focused on billing!
Ware has responded to messages during the early hours to quell my fears!
Or his generosity of his off hours, by taking time on a Sunday, or while vacationing in the keys with limited cell service to address my concerns, that no attorney of his caliber would ever do, especially after 40+ years of private practice!
He will try to and states that he keeps the emotions out of his process, and that he cant take an emotional stake in my cases, and he adamantly sticks to the rule of law, but his generosity of his time and help in cases that he has no financial interest in suggests otherwise. I have unfortunately had to engage 8 lawyers over the last 6 years, and his professionalism and his understated genuine hidden nature to protect and nurture his clients is a quality that reveals itself over the years. He genuinely cares to the accuracy and legal adherence to the rule of law and is beyond generous with his time! His assistant “Brittne” is so sweet, compassionate and reflects Wares’s core values.. in my opinion” integrity, honesty, caring compassionate advocate of my rights” I have not been 100% successful in all the matters that was represented for me. But if you want to have an attorney that is so brilliant and detailed and attentive, then Mr Cornell is the only lawyer you should consider. His is unlike any attorney I have ever engaged and if you want representation by the “shark” whereas all other attorneys swim in his pond!

We met regarding a labor case involving my employer and an ongoing Disablity discrimination and retaliatory harassment case. Even though we have not formally filed any charges because of special reasons, he already knows what he has to do to reduce expenses and get the end result we would like to see. He has measured the cons against the pros and gave his opinion based on what he knows about my employer and the type of courts we have here in Florida. My impression is that He is very knowledgeable and a matter of fact which I value in a lawyer. I appreciated his honesty even if it was not information I wants to hear. He offered his expertise opinion on how to deal with the case which was a wait and see after I am fired. Even though I’m not happy with having to continue to be harassed and the hostile working conditions I am being subjected to, I know that he will be the best to represent me because he has a plan in place. Immediately after my consultation, I provided over 700 pages of my evidence to him and with a small consultant fee he reviewed it over several weeks. He then scheduled me a few weeks later to discuss the plan and the pros and cons of my case. He did not charge a second consult fee and advised me of the approximate amount it would cost me to hire him for arbitration. He already knows the direction my case will have and what he needs to do. Based on this I feel he is competent and trustworthy. I am confident that he will deliver when the time comes. If you want to consult with an expert labor attorney please do not hesitate to meet with him and get the opinion of a true specialty attorney.

I met with Ware when he was recommended by a friend. I liked him right away, and I hired him. It was my first time hiring an attorney, and I should have asked him more questions to understand his work style. But I liked him and trusted my friend's recommendation.
I would have been happier working with an organized, strategic planner. If I had received a phone call or email every couple of months with an update on my case, that would have been better. Had Ware spelled out the specifics of my financial obligations to him up front instead of sending me seemingly random and sporadic invoices, I would have trusted him more.
But what really bothered me is that Ware took away ownership of my case. I told him I wanted to be at all the depositions for my case, but instead he held them without my knowledge. He did not consult with me to learn details that these depositions could have brought to light. I never heard from him after depositions with a summary of what took place. As I see it, this was my case, and Ware was there to help me, but he seemed to think I had little role in it.
In the end, the real value of my case was over 200K less than his original estimate. When did he break this news to me? On the morning before the final mediation.
It's been two years since my case concluded, and I waited to write this review because I wanted to see if time would soften my perspective. In the past two years, I've gotten to know dozens of attorneys through my current job, and have a clearer picture of attorneys can potentially operate. They can be organized. They can be transparent communicators. They can keep their clients in the loop. But Ware doesn't.

I can not adequately put into words how amazing Doug Kane is as a lawyer. I was dealing with a very difficult employer and Doug was able to navigate the inane and idiotic attempts by my former employer at dismissing my case. Doug was phenomenal at informing me of each step of the process, and offering me multiple options as to how we could proceed. Doug explained each piece of documentation, as well as all correspondence with the other parties attorney and the courts. He was almost always available to talk about the case, and if he was not he always scheduled a time to discuss the case. I am deeply appreciative for his kindness and his expertise.
(Just don't ask him to speculate on the case! He only deals with the facts!)
Ultimately I was VERY satisfied with the outcome and I would not hesitate to recommend Doug to anyone seeking counsel on employer/employee issues.
10/10 would recommend anytime.

I was mislead by a roofer. I relied on his expertise and experience to repair the leaks in my roof. Months later, after full payment and a "brand new roof," there was a significant amount of rain water that came through my : living room, dining room, bedroom, kitchen, and patio. I used him in the Mid 1990's. I was arrested in a drug sweep "wrong place at the wrong time" and he beat the charges before they even went before the magistrate therefore I did not have to waste time or money getting a bogus arrest expunged. I've used him for a Civil Rights Lawsuit as well. He's a good lawyer to have if you can get him.

My experience with Michael Lorence could not be further from what the last reviewer describes. I am truly baffled. I would hire him in a heart beat, however, he encouraged me to explore lawyers who would not have to travel as far to the court - thereby costing more money - where my teenage son will need to appear for a citation. He could have used a hard sell and, honestly, I was so scared and worried I would have done whatever he suggested. Mr. Lorence was kind, compassionate, and went above and beyond to provide legal guidance and support. I live in Maryland and needed help understanding and navigating the law in PA. In my opinion, Mr. Lorence is a "mensch-" Yiddish for "a good, kind and compassionate man." I have many friends who have children at the University of Pittsburgh. I will not hesitate to recommend Mr. Lorence to them and their families.

I retained this firm to handle a case involving a snowboarder who injured me as a result of recklessness. I'm out of state and got the recommendation from a partner at a well-known local firm, who indicated that Levanthal Puga Braley is the best of the best in Colorado.
My experience was excellent. Very high degree of professionalism and respect for what I prioritized in the process and the settlement they obtained for me. Exactly what you want in these situations.
My case took more than a year to complete, and all along the way there were many legal details and strategies I never would have figured out on my own that this firm was expert in. They also interfaced directly with my medical insurance company which was convenient for me.
I was extremely well represented by this firm, and would recommend to anyone seeking legal expertise after a ski/board injury or other related matter.

Would be 1 star but I’ve atleast been contacted after reaching out trying to figure out what is going on with my case which is absolutely nothing.
Process started back in June. I reached out to see if it was possible to reopen my case from 4 years prior because I still have major lasting effects from my shoulder surgery. (Had a different attorney) Spoke with Daniel and he stated we could probably settle out the medical as I have out of pocket costs at minimum of biweekly chiropractic care just so I can function. After this I went through the process of getting my entire file from my previous attorney and hand delivered it to his office.
After 2 months of not hearing anything I decided to reach out. First by email. No response. A couple weeks later by phone and I left a voicemail. Again never heard back. A week or so later I called again. This time leaving a message with a lady who answered. After this I got a call from Daniel about a week later. During this phone call he again stated that he thinks we could settle out the medical. He stated he was going to talk with his partner and figure out a game plan on how to proceed and that he would be in contact with me again in a week. I never heard back.
Fast forward a month and a half I decided to reach out again. First by email. Again, no response. I let another week or so pass and decided to call. This time I was transferred directly to Daniel. During this call everything changed. Now it was he didn’t think they could settle the medical and he stated he’d give a call back within the week. This never happened.
Now 2-3 weeks later here I am posting this review. This was never with intentions of a money grab. 100% I have major issues since having my shoulder surgery. I make more money however I have a $5000 deductible so I choose not to go to the doctor because I really can’t afford that. So instead I go to the chiropractor just so I can get by. Costs me only around $150 every month.
I write this review not in spite nor in anger, but more so in annoyance because I feel as if Daniel made it seem like something could be done and just constantly left me wondering what was happening. So really just wasted a ton of my time just to be given false hope. Daniel should have from the beginning just told me that there was nothing that could be done. Had he done that I would have just let it be.

Attorney Wayland is an honest lawyer with high ethical standards and very practical approach. I found Edward after searching the list of best lawyers in Boston and he proved to be one for my highly contentious long stretched divorce case. From the very beginning till the very last day of our work together, Edward was always prompt and available, guiding me through the options, clarifying my doubts and ignorance about the process, and providing compassion and encouragement during tough moments. Throughout the process, Edward had an approach of resolving issues collaboratively with the other party, however, if I felt I was getting unfair share and wanted to fight back harder, he was right by my side with unwavering advocacy for that as well. Every year Boston magazine publishes the results for top attorneys in Boston from different legal specialties, from business and criminal law to family and employment law. If there are top 100 attorneys; Edward Wayland would be voted as the top 10 WORST attorneys in Boston. I'm very grateful I had made the right decision to terminate him for ineffectiveness of his counsel. About few years ago, To today's day, I never regretted (terminating) firing Edward Wayland.
He almost ruined my life and my freedom. lack of communication, Failure to exercise diligence, ineffectiveness of his counsel, and Incompetence, Incompetence, and Incompetence. I'm in the process of filing a complaint against him to the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseer; Attorney and Consumer Assistance Program (ACAP), I think he should get his license suspended or revoked. (everything I stated here is true except for the top 10 worst attorneys).

I went through a few lawyers who gave me questionable advices before I came across Kathleen. First of all, she's working directly on my case, not other junior assistants. Second, Kathleen is not only very experienced and knowledgeable about the law, but most importantly, she's consultative and able to advice each step along the way. What's the strategy? What to say/do in what situation? You simply do not get this level of attention and support in other places.

I hired Josh to defend me in an employment case. I already had a severance offer from the company because they knew they had screwed up and clearly retaliated against me for a discrimination complaint. He told me that I had a strong case and promised he could get me more. I told him I could not afford to pay him and he agreed to take the case on contingency. I should have seen the signs early on that he was never fully engaged in my case because he never seemed to grasp the details or the timeline. He kept asking me the same questions over and over again and would forget the answers I gave him. He assigned a junior attorney to the case right after I signed the agreement who was overwhelmed and intimidated by opposing counsel. He started my complaint with an astronomical demand that would have obviously been rejected. He spent the first few weeks doing absolutely nothing. No depositions were scheduled, no subpoenas and very little discovery. Then I started hearing that my deposition was to be scheduled before any others. When I asked why opposing counsel seemed to be in the driver's seat I was told "that's usually the way it is". So 6 months went by and no progress. I was deposed in February and the other side had still not been deposed. Finally with my constant urging, depositions of my former employer were scheduled for May. But in March, Josh started calling me and telling me that because an innocent and innocuous error was discovered on my resume (that had no relevance to my being hired or not at the time), he could not continue my case until I deposited $10,000 in his trust account. I explained to him that their depositions were key to my case and the other side was clearly grasping at straws but he kept insisting that suddenly a case that was worth millions in his initial assessment was now "not winnable" and needed to be immediately settled. Even before a single deposition had been done to establish the facts of my case, he was telling me that he needed me to start paying him or settle for very little. He left me no choice but to allow him to settle my case for nothing as I couldn't afford to give him the money he was demanding in order to do his job and depose the defendant. In the end, I had to agree to let him settle for nothing. He then failed to even protect my interests and prevent the employer from taxing my settlement check at 50% tax rate. I received my final settlement with his cut taken out of it but also he charged me for every court filing and Uber transportation charge he incurred. When I look back at it, he took the case and promised me I had a strong case to jump in and see if he could get part of a quick settlement. When it looked like he would be spending more time that he bargained for actually defending and deposing, he backed away, put a financial gun to my head and did what was best for him ultimately, not what was best for me. He is in it for himself. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone and wish I had gone to a large reputable firm instead. The experience received by attorney Trevor Hatfield was phenomenal, to say the least. Although borrowing the motto from another familiar business due to it's ideal application, I must say, I immediately knew we were in good hands!
We approached the elevator and took it to Hatfield and associates offices. Suddenly, surrounded by glistening white walls beautifully garnished with interior floral decorum, I felt encompassed within a style of professionalism and class. The leather seats were comfortable and of quality. Even the cylindrical glass tabletop shone so immaculately, you'd have felt comfortable eating food served directly upon it!
The ladies at the front desk were pleasant. We did not wait long before Mr. Hatfield invited us beyond the door into a private conference room. Trevor Hatfield was clearly a gentleman of stature and wisdom, an asset to his trade. His skilled approach to the issue at hand was reassuring, and suddenly we took comfort for the first time, knowing that things will work out exactly as they should!
Mr. Hatfield was thorough, went over every detail of the case, explained our options, and confirmed we understood what was needed to move forward successfully. There is no doubt his representation is top notch. Hatfield is an attorney who won't nickel and dime you; he genuinely cares about doing the job well and taking proper care of his clients.
Trevor Hatfield has been a recipient of the city's recognition, and was awarded as such. He was readily referred by other colleagues within the same field and he takes the time to adhere to each case in order of finding an appropriate solution. He is worth the expense of a high priced lawyer, while willing to help those who are justified in their predicament.

I had retained law services for a case and it was completely fumbled.
The attorney quit responding to myself and other attorneys and courts involved.
I attempted to speak with someone else about this at the firm but was never taken seriously or contacted in return.
I ended up paying thousands of dollars for inadequate representation.
My advice would be to stay away, find a more reputable and successful lawn firm for your needs.

Douglass Hartnett is a phenomenal attorney! He was able to take my summary of events and turn them into a concise Prehearing Statement. He was sharp-witted throughout the entire process. Although I was assured that I had a good case and even after presenting to her what my former employer’s position would be, Manali seemed unprepared when my former employer raised the exact defense I told her would be coming. She capitulated to my former employer, so I had to accept whatever settlement was available. I know it's business, but in my interactions with her, it seems she could not care less that I was a human being. Subsequently, an issue arose where she advised me on a topic she had no legal knowledge of. After going back and forth with her, asking why she advised the way she did, she finally admitted that she had no legal knowledge of what I was asking.
