I contacted this attorney in regards to Social Security via her website. She did call me at the number I provided while I was away. However, when I returned her phone she did not answer the phone and then when I left a message on her voicemail she did not return the voicemail.

I would not recommend this law firm. There was little to no communication with me about my case. I was not respresented in the way I should have been in my workers comp case and an appeal was never filed. Worst experience I have ever had with a lawyer. 3 years of my life wasted. Phillip Shell is the last person I would recommend to anyone to handle legal matters. I wouldn't even give this place 1 star, but had to in order to leave a review. I had to call a lawyer at another lawyer firm to even find out what was really going on with my workers comp case.

I had a workers comp case against my employer. I had been denied workers comp as well as any assistance from my employer for an injury sustained in the line of duty. Unable to work, and not receiving compensation from my employer, I was in danger of losing my home. I asked several different people for an attorney recommendation. Everyone I talked to said go see Scott Roberts.
I was easily able to get an appointment with him within a day or so. We discussed my case, and Mr. Roberts said, you have been wronged by your employer, and I will do everything within law to make it right. I left feeling better about the situation. Scott immediately began filling motions on my behalf, things I couldn't get done were being accomplished by Scott Roberts. Scott made sure all medical bills, prescriptions, and Dr. co-pays were paid in full by workers compensation. Scott fought to get the settlement that I wanted, and I didn't have to settle for anything less. Scott was easy to reach, returned my calls, and had his paralegal keep me updated with every motion filed and every response. He mailed me copies of all paperwork for my records. I worked in Law-enforcement for 20+ years. I have recommended NUMEROUS people to Scott, and he has successfully settled their cases as well. Don't be fooled by the constant repetitive commercials you see on TV about the "big box" personal injury lawyers. I recommend The Robert's Law Firm to anyone who wants justice and someone who will fight for them.

Scott has successfully handled not one, but 2 claims for me. I have been hit while in a company vehicle two different times by negligent drivers. Both times I had to have surgery due to the severity of the accidents. Scott got my medical bills paid for, my back pay paid, and worker's compensation checks coming. Both cases Scott has settled for me, and I am glad I went to him. Very good about answering questions/concerns, makes sure I'm aware of what was going on in both cases. Definitely recommend!!!!

Did not return phone calls. Did not keep me informed. Really disappointmented; even though Mr Roberts did not settle my case he put a lien on my case in case we do settle. Mr Roberts sent me an e-mail later to say, I fired him when I did not.

I switched over to this lawyer for my SSI case because I thought he'd be good from what I heard from 1 person, but boy was that wrong choice , I've only seen him once our initial meeting and that is it , When I call I pretty much always leave a message which isn't returned for 2-3 weeks or never and I receive a letter in the mail ! Very unprofessional if you ask me ! I never even talked to Robertits always his snotty assistant Donna . I make all the phone calls and send in all letters to SSI and she I confront Roberts office to help I get excuse after excuse !

I was forwarded Mr. Berzowski's information from Di Rrnzo & Bomier to pursue a possible workers comp claim. In speaking with him, I wasn't given the time of day. The answers to the unasked questions were assumed as he shrugged me off. He was rude and unprofessional and it was clear that if he didn't think my case was a shoo-in (based on his assumptions) that he wasn't going to be give me the time of day. I wrapped up the conversation by letting him know that the information he was filling in the blanks with, was incorrect! I included that if he would have asked me the questions and waited for my answer, he would have known that.
What a discouraging start to an already unfair situation. I now am going to make sure that others aren't made to feel this way when truly (even if there's not an actual case) there are more appropriate ways to interac to potential clients respectfully.

Jeff took my case on earlier this year. He was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond what most other lawyers would have done. All correspondence from him and his secretary were prompt and very helpful in helping me understand my case, the laws that the other person had violated against me and what steps were going to be taken and why, and my case was resolved in a very timely manner! I felt totally helpless when the incident happened and Jeff and his secretary were very knowledgeable about the laws and put me at ease. I contacted Robert in 2016 to help me appeal my SSD claim. He came recommended from a neighbor and sounded like he would care at first. I have been following up with him for the past two years, to no avail. He is super slow to return my messages, if he does at all ,whether they be emails or calls. When he finally called me the other day, after three weeks had gone by, he blatently lied to me. I took it upon myself to "double check" Robert's claims that he was "working on it" - and called SSD and found out that after his name was added to my "file"" at SSA admin. That not a thing had been done on his part to help me. SSA said that NO activity had been done on his part!! None! So basically I've spent the last two years trusting his word that he was "ON It", what a bunch of BS. My faith in attorneys is blown, this man needs to be disbarred if this is his "way" of helping people such as myself. Now, I'm told that I need to start all over again.

This attorney is very straight forward and speaks to a client on their level of comprehension . I was very pleased with his answering any and all my questions. Mr. Shanahan did a superior job representing me during my attempt at receiving disability through Social Security. Mr. Mitchell represented me in my disability case. The case seemed difficult to me, and he did not mince words regarding the complexity of what I was trying to legally prove. Despite that, his expertise and ability to empathize with me as a person, rather than an impersonal client was fantastic.
Mr. Mitchell was able to help me prove that I was disabled. He took a great amount of his own time to explain the details of the legal system to me. It can often look like a minefield to someone not familiar with it. Mr. Mitchell was honest and reassuring (even to my mother, who was a nervous wreck).
While my case was proceeding, even if I was in a hospital, Mr. Mitchell did not send an assistant to talk to me, he made the trip and talked to me in person. If I called him, I did not have to leave messages or talk to people I had not dealt with. He was the one who returned my calls and gave me concise, timely, and accurate answers. He knows his profession.
Years after my case was decided, I was in need of some of the records relevant to my case. He was not only able to tell me where and if I would be able to access this information, but if not, what I could do to remedy the situation. He was still as reassuring and honest as he ever has been.
I have nothing but the highest praise for Mr. Mitchell as an attorney, I have never encountered another who would both fight for my legal status as a disabled person so aggressively and comfort my mother in the same hour.

I had an consultation with Karen, what i didn’t like is she kept cutting me off while i was explaining my medical issues. Also, she had never even heard of the medical problem before, which I also didn’t like. I explained it’s a rare disease. She didn’t take my case, even though i gave her key reasons i would be approved for SSI. I don’t recommend this lawyer for anyone. Get a considerate lawyer who would take your case seriously. In the process right now. Jeanne Morales office was the only attorney that actually listened, cared, as understood the severity of the case and that my child was in danger. Not only did she instantly get me in the same day to consult but has handled this matter very delicately, but when needed has been very firm and aggressive to make sure my child would be safe along with the rest of my family during this process. When I was first looking and considering other attorneys they made me feel like a joke, like the safety of my daughter was not a concern for them. The one I consulted wouldnt even give me more than 5 mins to inform them what the situation was and see what they could do. I feel like God blessed me by helping me find one of the only amazing attorneys to see this through by a referral. Our court date is pending but I am confident Justice will be served.

If i could give her a 0 star i would. One star is way too much for her. She did absolutely nothing. She doesnt answer emails and phone calls. She stated that the reason she didnt answer emails or phone calls, is because she didnt charge me by the hour. She stated that she charges $250 an hour and she stated that she only charged me $1000. So i wasnt worth her time to answer any of my emails or calls.
I paid for her to assist me with my child support issues. I was a walkin and she accepted me as a walkin. I had no documents for her to research anything. I am not sure why she just didnt tell me to come back with the necessary documents for her to make a good decision as to weather she could assist me or not. She heard my concerns and took my money the same day and stated that you have a good case and the AG's office always make mistakes. She never mentioned that its a possibility that she couldnt assist me, until months later, after she already accepted a down payment. So with that, we agreed that i should pay half that day and pay the rest at a later date.
Months went by and I am trying to reach her but, but as i stated earlier she didnt answer my multiple emails and phone calls. Her secretary called me one day before the court date and told me that Chaunte would call me to discuss what she has planed for court. I waited and she never called. So i saw her in court. In court, the AG's office called her to the back and she came back and told me that there was nothing any lawyer could do for me. My child support payments could not be any lower. But what we can do is file for modification for medical on a different child support case. I was quite disappoint that I paid her just for her to tell me this information. However i went along with her plan for the medical modification. Two weeks after that, she sent me a closure letter stating that she couldn't represent me any further because she had a trip and other obligations to attend to. I was quite disappointing.
So please do yourself a favor and take your money to someone that cares about you.
In the closure letter, she stated that I should take the other half of the money and go find me another lawyer. So basically i paid this women $500 for her to tell me that she couldnt lower my child support.

I hired Mr. Conrad in February 2014. My mother needed to go to a nursing home. Initially I just wanted info on the sale of the home. He began telling me things such as how we could keep Medicaid from taking all of my mothers money. And that she was allowed to gift half the house to the kids. He said he would do all the dealings with Medicaid as far as filing, the phone interview, setting up a trust for the house and so forth. He would handle all of it for the large sum of $3000.
I was exhausted from taking care of my mother for 2 years and didn't have the energy to deal with it all so I hired him.
He filed the Medicaid application in around mid February. He told me the spend down would start from the 1st of that month as long we spent down her money before the end of the month. Well that wasn't true it started the date of the filing I think because we were penalized more than suppose to. After he did phone interview, I had already given him all the paper work necessary to turn in. He called and said I did phone interview now you need to put money back in moms account and pay me so that she wouldn't be penalized for that amount. So I paid him in full. After I paid him he stopped taking my calls. Wouldn't return my calls. I had no idea if my mom had been approved or not till the nursing home told me. He never set up any trust for the house. Its now July and I haven't spoken with him since April. He still has a bunch of receipts of mine that show money put into the house. When I would try to call his mailbox was always full I couldn't even leave a message. Before I paid him he was Johnny on the spot I didn't even have to leave a message he would call me back within minutes. This man took a large sum of my mothers money and did not preform the duties he had promised. Filing a application and emailing papers to me does not warrant $3000.

I admit that the previous review is quite different from what you will see here and that does surprise me I wonder if it was a relative doing her a favor I hired her I fired her and she is still holding up my payments from Social Security because he has not submitted a bill and they are holding my money I fired her because as a attorney all shehas is his cell phone she has no one answering calls for her and said she went on vacation for two weeks but she didn't answer her phone for a month she told me that she would be sending me paperwork for my doctor asked when your next appointment was and even after I called to remind her three times she never sent form or answer the phone so I fired her now after a competent attorney won my case they are holding my backpay because she did not withdrawal and she did not put in the Bill she said she didn't know she had to do that she said she hadn't heard from them and I said you don't need to hear from them you just need to do what you're supposed to do as an attorney she promised me two weeks ago she would do it and still hasn't done it and now they're holding my money another 20 because of her she is a very incompetent lawyer and if you asked me a horrible person she doesn't even care that I'm homeless because I have not had income since march

Very unprofessional!!! by the time I finally got through the lady just kept talking and would not let me explain my situation . she kept going on about different situations by the time I was able to get in two words then she finally stopped and said that my situation was different than what she had been explaining.
If she would have given me 2 minutes to explain and if she would have listened to what I was needing help with instead of wanting to talk the whole time maybe she could’ve been more helpful and informative.
Overall Not very happy with the service especially when we’re not able to come in . And then having to call consistently and repeatedly because you get hung up on after 15 minutes! It’s very unprofessional and seems like they’re doing that on purpose because no one wants to help the less fortunate

I regret getting this lawyer for my husband who is still currently in an immigration detention, he has been there since December and seems like this attorney just abandoned the case, as much as we tried to get into contact with him so he could explain what was going on with the pending case he answers us with “ I can’t look into the case if you keep calling everyday , i’ll do it whenever I have time might be today might be tomorrow. The only reason we call everyday is because we aren’t getting any answers just like he’s frustrated we are too it’s not fair that this lawyer isn’t answering any of our questions nor is he doing anything to speed up my husbands deportation, he is rude he talks to us like we don’t understand what he says , as if we don’t know anything like he’s superior to us which is not professional at all!

I wish I would of know more about this attorney before hiring this incompetent man. My case has been dragging on for years with this man and honestly this should of been a simple case to begin with (no need for details on case) bottom line is i have wasted a lot of my time with this man. He shows up late, makes you feel like you are wasting his time, will not and I repeat WILL NOT follow through with a signed contract and will avoid communication at all costs. After some thirty years of nursing it finally happened, I was helping a partially paralyzed patient to his wheelchair ; when he slipped I caught him and felt a pull in my back. Two days later I could barely walk. MRI revealed herniated disc. Coworkers advised me to get a lawyer. When i first Mr. Scher he listened to my story, He told me I did not need a lawyer, that my company would take care of me. When the hospital's insurance company denied my claim I returned to Mr. Scher, he immediately went to work for me, told me not to worry, he would take care of everything. To make a long story short, when the insurance co. wanted to give me a partial settlement Mr. Scher went to battle mode. He got me a full settlement with more money than I thought, and he got the insurance company to provide me medical care for any issues, or problems I may encounter in the future related to my work injury. When you are injured you NEED an experienced attorney. I would recommend Jerry Scher to anyone . He wiill get you results. Just remember this is a process, you have to be patient, and trust your attorney.

He told me I would never get approved for Disability and he did almost nothing at all. I did all the work. I got all the med records. I arranged evals with specialists on my own and got them to prepare reports. I talked to retired SS Disability judges who told me I could go back 3-4 years. He told me I could not. AJ hearing. He said nothing. Did nothing. In presented my case, answered questions of judge. Was approved and got the 3-4 years or arrearage also. So my payout was quite large. Which meant he got a huge percent. He was so excited $$$$.. But did no work to earn that money. Just kept telling me I would be denied and did not work to get evidence to prove. I did my own research, got others to help me. He is a parasite, lazy and makes money off other's misfortunes. Win some, lose some. He makes money.
