Having your child taken from you based on lies from the other party is heartbreaking, scary, and downright makes you feel like you’re going to loose your mind. It’s no lie when you hear that child custody fights get dirty, one party tries to keep it clean while the other wants to fight dirty. When I reached out for help at Mrs. Soulsby’s office, she made time to see me on the weekend and hear me out. She read the orders stating that I was ordered to hand my child over to the other party and she saw right through the lies from the other party on the statement in the orders. By the time I knew it, there was a court hearing in two weeks and let me tell you, she means business when in court. By the end of the court hearing my child was back in my custody. It was a joyous day for all of us as a family. You’d like to think the other party was done after that. Nope, by the time I knew it, CPS was at my door. Again, Mrs. Soulsby was there with my children and me at our sides when CPS was breathing down my neck over false accusations. Never once did she leave me alone to sort things out on my own. Needless to say, the day we all sat down with the CPS caseworker, it was made clear the accusations were false. When it came down to my child’s psychological safety she fought tooth and nail to be my child’s voice in court. Mrs. Soulsby did not back down that day in court, she made sure my child had a voice. Come to mediation time, Mrs. Soulsby had everything down. I didn’t know anything what was going on, she had to explain to me what mediation meant when we were there. When your child is taken from you based off of lies you have that constant fear, it doesn’t matter how many times Mrs. Soulsby explained things to me, I would be freaking out, she would have to talk to me and reassure me she wouldn’t let anyone take my child away from me again. Mrs. Soulsby isn’t fearful at all, she knows what she is doing, and I needed to remind myself that I wasn’t alone. Frank Gonzalez assisted in the child support hearings. He proved the other party made more income than what is reported and I was happy with what the judge ordered was fair for my child’s medical and child support. Mind you less than a year later we were back in court for child support, Mrs. Soulsby made sure that my child not lose what was ordered from the first child support hearing. Soulsby Law Office has always been there for my family. Mrs. Soulsby knows that as a single mother it’s hard sometimes to have the full amount to pay her and works with me. She has represented my family and me when I had nothing. I am and will forever be grateful for every single person in the Soulsby Law Office, Kate, Frank, Chris, June, Stephanie, and Kim. They’re not family, but they sure feel like they are. They have seen me at my worse and helped me fight when I thought I had no more fight in me. I’ve never been in trouble with the law, the child custody fight was my first time ever going through anything legally and everything was very scary. Mrs. Soulsby was always there by my side, telling me everything was ok, she’d see me shaking, voice cracking cause I was always on the verge of a breakdown, but she was there. She has been a constant through the whole process. I can’t see anyone else representing me in anything, Mrs. Soulsby has always made me feel safe and not just anyone can do that when it comes to keeping your family together.

I hired attorney Kimberly Hall to represent our family in a complicated parental termination/step-parent adoption case. Not only was Ms. Hall professional and nonjudgmental, but she was also responsive and extremely competent. I also found the rates she charges to be competitive as well. Everyone on her team was gracious and courteous with every interaction I had with them. Ms. Hall referred me to a social worker for my home inspection who had less than desirable reviews, but I discovered that Ms. Hall was correct in her referral as this social worker was fair and provided fast service. I would highly recommend using Soulsby Law for any family matter that requires representation. They will fight hard for you and give you honest feedback every step of the way.

They are no joke, the most dedicated, supportive, hard working team I have ever encountered, in any profession. If your ex is not showing up with the kids on a Friday at 6:00pm, you better believe Kate and her team are on it. I have dealt with quite a few lawyers and never, until meeting Kate did I think a lawyer could ever work like they do at Soulsby Law.
