Trustworthy and dependable.

Kate has been on my child custody case for almost two years because of filed motion after motion from the other party. She has showed up to represent me even when funds were not present to pay at the moment because of her level of commitment and loyalty to my case. She is highly confident and competent and knows how to get the facts across professionally. I realize the importance of needing a skilled attorney to represent you in life changing important matters. I would recommend hiring her 10/10.

Kate never mentioned anything about splitting claiming the kids on taxes 50/50. Now, every year, I have to beg my ex for the opportunity to claim the kids for tax purposes. This was a pretty glaring omission. Also, she never mentioned going for 50% custody. I know of a lot of men that have 50% custody now, but this seemed less feasible pre-COVID, when teleworking 100% was less common-- but it would have been good if she had at least encouraged that route.

Beware of this attorney and call the Texas State Bar before hiring her. VETERANS BEWARE: SHE IS NASTY TO VETERANS. She will tell you she’s working for you but truly makes fun of her clients.

Kate handled both my divorce and custody cases for me. She is extremely professional, confident, knowledgeable and an excellent communicator. I was referred to Kate Soulsby by another very good lawyer, because he only did arbitration. I was in a situation where I needed someone to fight to protect my son and myself. He didn't hesitate to send me to Kate, and for good reason. She did an awesome job of making sure that we were heard and protected in the light of the law. I have been dealing with a VERY complex definitely not your average child custody case that has been going on almost 4 years now it's always getting pushed back or at a stand stilI have retained attorney after attorney. Some didn't really seem to care about my case, some were afraid of the opposing counsels attorney, didn't want to take my case because of the complexity of it, or some were just simply not educated. When I started looking for a new attorney at the beginning of the year, I came across Kate Soulsby's firm. From the moment I called her and explained my case she sounded VERY confident, and made me feel like it was the right decision to go with her. She has always been available, communicates very effectively and quickly. Everyone who works with her are very attentive and hard workers just like her. Kimberly Hall, June Maldonado, and Stephanie, are all respectful and kind. Kate was the first attorney that I've had that was not intimidated but the opposing parties attorney as my previous attorneys were. I have trial next month, and I am anxious and nervous but feel VERY confident with having Kate and her team represent me. Thus far, I dont recommend this attorney because it is not veteran friendly. Ive called repeatedly to be contacted, and have yet to hear anything. This attorney has abused the justice system for a transfer of venue. The law states, 20 days. She lied in court and said it was timely. I know this because. am a certified paralegal, and somewhat know the law. During role call of the docket, the jidge allows time for the attorneys to confer. However Kate didnt approach me, as time allowed. We just went straight to court on the motion to transfer venue. She is also putting all cost on me, a disabled Texas Veteran. I know she doesnt represent me, but I feel she should have done her homework on who the other side is.

Lawyer will take your money and not perform. There are better lawyers that will actually fight for you.
