Emma Hemness did estate planning for me and set up a special needs trust for my son. I found her to be kind, compassionate, intelligent and professional. There is much to be considered when leaving behind a child (at whatever age) who can't take care of himself. I have been blessed to have this young man in my life. Ms. Hemness thought of everything. She helped me to create a trust including a special needs trust and put together a living will. She helped me to consider end of life choices and create a power of attorney. The power of attorney will allow a family member an easy transition to administer my estate and help my son at my passing. She did all this while insuring my son would not be deprived of the social safety net that is helping him now. I am more than grateful to her for making something very difficult like this possible. I rest easier knowing I have done the best I can to protect my son.

I hired Walter Cook to assist in a trust contest that had gone on for three years. Walter took over as trial attorney and won the case. My husband and I decided to offer our son as part of his graduation present, a will... This may sound extremely unusual I can admit but if you think about it, they are legally adults and most likely leaving home for college. What if, God forbids, something was to happen to them? How many of us have taken the time to ask our children if they want to be cremated or buried? DNR? How much information can we get if them end up in a hospital because of the privacy/ HIPPA rules? What about their bank accounts/ credit cards/ loans? Completely unnatural for a parent to think that something tragic could happen to our adult children but trust me, the peace of mind that Henry provided to our family is priceless.

When I heard that my mother-in-law might be eligible for VA benefits, a friend suggested calling Shepherd Elder Law Group. They were able to provide me with all paper work that was required, a list of items that would be needed and then explained how to obtain needed documents. After paper work was completed, we had a meeting to check that all was done correctly, so that process would not be slowed down by missing or incorrect documentation. The benefits were received very quickly and I could not have done it without them.

My wife and I realized that our home somehow wasn't included in the name of our trust. The original work was done by Mr. halls law firm several years ago. As in most things, several laws had changed, making our trust somewhat ineffective. After consulting with Mr. Hall, we decided to completely update the document. We are now up to date with all of federal and state changes in relation to all of our needs. We want to especially thank Mr. Hall and all of his associates that worked on this project. Our home is now included on our property deed in the name of the trust. We highly recommend Mr. Hall and his firm. They also treat you like family, and take the time to discuss all issues in language we could understand. Five stars doesn't seem to be a high enough rating.

I was a client of a very well known reputable estate planning firm in town ( Phoenix) for 6+ years.
I sought to have my Trust reviewed after my Mothers passing as we had experienced a number of issues with her Trust. I researched many local attorneys and came across the firm of MHK. I am very happy with the decision to meet with Mr Hall.

I am so grateful to Deeb Elder Law. My mother had always been a very independent (read stubborn) lady until COVID 19. She was so ill and was hospitalized several times, but amazingly recovered. Still it took so much away from her mental and physical capacity. It also required her to move to a long-term care facility.
I live in another state (Michigan) and dealing with all my mother’s needs was a logistical and emotional nightmare. I researched a long time before I finally settled with Steven Oakley. He was very professional and had a great presentation and made us so comfortable from the beginning. We trust our estate planning with him and would recommend others to do the same. It takes 3 meetings to get your estate planning done. The first is a free initial meeting where he explains what he does and the pricing options. Then if you do decide to go with him then during the second meeting you provide all your information for your estate planning. You get a DPOA , an advance directive, beneficiaries if you or your spouse dies all set up and more. Then during the third meeting he hands you your estate planning folder with everything in it along with a CD copy and he goes through everything with you. You also receive an Emergency Medical Information Card you can keep in your wallet if ever you get hospitalized. He answered all our questions and everything that I wanted on my checklist for estate planning was marked off because of him. There is a yearly annual review that you must pay for but it is worth it because you need to keep your estate planning updated or else some things might become invalid. The price is on the higher end but you definitely pay what you get for and I wouldn't want to pay cheap when it comes to my family and estate planning. Like he said to us during his presentation, think of it as an investment into your future for you and your loved ones.

I wanted to set up an estate plan, and Zvi was very helpful in the process. He explained what assets required a will, and which worked best in a trust. I was able to set up my affairs in a way that I can manage myself for now, and I know that once I am unable to care for myself, or go entirely, my family will understand my wishes. I think what made Zvi such a great attorney was that he took the time to understand what I wanted, and then explained to me how I could get there. I could tell that he cared, but was also being an absolute professional.

I cannot offer enough praise for the law firm of Richard P. Johnson and his associate Marcie Johnson. Upon the passing of my uncle in Dallas Texas, I had to travel from Columbus Ohio to the Dallas area and deal with a multitude of issues with regards to my uncle's estate. Everything from a ranch 65 miles northeast of Dallas in Commerce Texas, to his home in Dallas where I had to get a bio hazard team involved because of the conditions I encountered upon arriving in Dallas after learning that my uncle had passed. Richard and Marcie Johnson were extraordinary in terms of their assistance and professionalism in helping me with ALL my issues. Stephan Waltar is very knowledgeable and experienced in estate planning. He is the author of two books on the subject, both of which I read and found to be clearly written and very helpful. I felt that he wrote these books because he truly cared about people being well protected and informed.
He and his staff were easy to communicate with, any questions were answered fully and we received prompt responses to any emails.
We were provided with a 3" binder made personal for us that clearly organized all of our info and documents on our estate planning, medical directives, power of attorney, ect. A digital copy is kept securely as well.
We felt like it was money well spent to have our estate set up by a legal expert rather than a one size fits all computer program. it is complicated and it is essential that it be done properly. When we were at our bank to transfer our account, the manager had to call the legal department to walk her thru the process, as even for someone who works in the financial field it was complicated. One our side we had been provided by Mr. Waltar's office with all the correct legal documents and it was easy.
In the future as laws change it is also good to know that we have a legal expert to confer with who will keep us updated and our plans on track.

After dealing with a previous attorney who left us disappointed and everything only partially taken care of regarding my father's estate I found Danielle. Danielle reassured me that she would take care of finalizing things to close the estate.
Danielle is absolutely professional and knowledgeable; she communicates all the details and provides updates quickly and thoroughly. She explained everything that was happening and answered all our questions very clearly.
