I couldn’t believe how easy it was to get in contact with Mark! I was given his contact information and decided to give him a call. I was expecting to have to leave a message with a secretary, but found myself talking directly to him! I explained my situation and he quickly gave me unsolicited advice on how I should navigate my issue. At no time was there any pressure for me to retain his services. He was honest and told me that he didn’t see the need for an attorney. He gave me tips and suggestions out of genuine kindness and concern. I am grateful that I took the chance to give him a call!

Please please please do your research before hiring an attorney for 1st offense DUI. In July of 2019 I was pulled over for DUI in Newport News Virginia while working there temporarily on assignment for work. I retained Mr. Martin to represent me in a 1st offense DUI case. In actuality he really did not represent me very much at all. He did next to nothing to help me with the case. I literally paid him thousands of dollars, and recieved next to nothing in return. I disclosed many pertinent things to him that possibly could've been helpful to my case had they been put before the Judge. It is unfair and unethical for people to pay these attorneys thousands upon thousands of dollars, particularly for a first time offense when the laws are pretty much set in place for 1st time DUI offenders. Perhaps someone who commits a second offense or one involving in alcohol related accident should seek advanced counsel. Someone who blows 1.1 or 1.2 and a first time offender should not have to pay 4,5,6 and $8000 to an attorney. This is purely taking advantage of people who are 1st time offenders. Make no mistake about it I think that it is totally irresponsible for people to be drunk and driving. I am more than willing to accept my responsibility for what I've done. But when I walked away from court that day not only did I have to deal with having a DUI on my record, I felt that I had been let down, and totally ripped off by my attorney who I hired and placed a lot of trust, faith, and hope in to represent me to a much greater degree than he did.

I was recommend to Matney Law due to an reckless driving ticket. He and his team handle my case legitimately and stayed in constant touch with me, and provided help in every aspect on what I needed to do or have prior to going to court. Decent and honest from what i could see.

Had a very professional conversation about my case and Mr Matney spent time to help me feel very comfortable about what I’m going through. My case has been very stressful and have had a lot of unanswered concerns prior to speaking with Mr Matney and I definitely feel a lot more relaxed and comfortable about my possible outcome. Very professional and kind individual. God willing I don’t need further counsel for legal issues in the future, but if I do I will definitely be seeking Mr Matney. I dont even know where to begin. Im in my mid 20's and got arrested for a first time DWI. I reached out to probably 4-5 firms before I found Tillotson & Martin. Got a ticket for failure to yield for stopped emergency vehicle and got my ticket reduced from a misdemeanor to a traffic infraction 10/10 would have represent me again
