Went in for a few consults with Allison. Had/have a huge amount of respect for her as a person and an attorney. She was very honest and open and did not appear to just want to take my money. However, when I called to set up a consult and planned on retaining her, I was told that there was NOW a personal conflict. I asked for an explanation, and got nothing. I was told I would get a call back, got nothing. So it amounts to several hundred dollars wasted on consultations, for an attorney I can’t retain, for reasons that apparently I’m not allowed to know. Now I have to “settle” for a different attorney.

Pat represented me in my divorce action about 15 years ago. I had the misfortune of being in court with a different attorney, today, for a separate matter. As I sat and waited for my case to be called, I observed Ms. Chvatal and her court conduct. She was very professional and personal. I watched her scan the audience and make eye contact with her clients immediately upon her entering the courtroom. Shortly after, she continued to remind me of why I hired her years ago. She took the time to seek out her clients individually, counseled with each one and even sat down next to them for longer than a moment. If she didn't really care about them then she should take up acting because as far as I could see, she genuinely cares. It appeared to me each of her clients reciprocated that attitude and gave her the utmost respect. EACH one of them received her undivided attention and in a courtroom is where you hired her to do what she does. She does it well! Her clients seemed to display a look of relief and I sure wish I could have shared in feeling that way. My case was a slam dunk but my attorney, not so much. I had to go to him and had no idea what was even going to be presented to the Court. I sure miss her and wish I would have hired her to handle the matter before the Court, now. I know legal representation is expensive. I don't think one charges much less or more than the other. From what I've seen with Pat, you get the well known name (reputation), legal tenure, respect of colleagues, respect of courtroom authority and bang for your buck. She treated me like I mattered. I wish I felt like I mattered right now. For what legal fees cost, you should matter. Regretful I'm missing out on her representation for current issues! Highly recommend!!

I have been working with Pat on and off for the last five years during a divorce and custody battle. She has always been exemplary in the courtroom. She is a busy woman so she is sometimes hard to get a hold of but she's busy for a reason. She's great at what she does and there was no one else I would rather have handle my divorce and the battles that ensued afterwards then her.

I recently had Allison King represent me in my child custody matter. Being a man, I wasn’t sure that a female attorney was the best, so I had a conference with her. This was my first experience with an attorney and I was pretty worried as it involved my children. She explained to me what I could realistically expect. I didn’t want an attorney who promised me everything just to get my money so I hired her. Throughout the process, she was always prepared and available to answer questions. Unfortunately, when we went to mediation, our case did not settle and we had to go to trial. I had to pay for a trial, but because I had realistic goals, I was confident that I would do okay. At the end of the trial, I received more from the judge than what we offered at mediation. Although I can’t promise everyone that they will get the same result, I know that if you hire Allison and you follow her recommendation, you will most likely end up okay. I have read other reviews and don’t recognize Allison at all. I can only presume that they either didn’t like the advice they were given or didn’t follow it. Maybe they needed an attorney who would tell them what they wanted to hear. That’s not Allison. If you want an attorney to give you advice based on what’s best for you, then I would highly recommend her.

EXCELLENT ATTORNEY!!! Words cannot express how grateful and fortunate I feel to have had Allison as my attorney! Her reputation as one of the top divorce lawyers in the Tri Cities is well deserved! I have gained custody of my children in a state that traditionally favors women because of her legal expertise, tenacity, and compassion. Even though I have had my share of problems and made my share of mistakes, Allison listened to me and worked relentlessly for me during my long and grueling divorce. In addition to helping me gain full custody of my children, she also helped reduce my alimony payments, protected me from my ex-wife’s accusations and legal attacks, and kept me on the right track outside of court. Her legal advice is flawless! I highly recommend her for any legal services concerning family, divorce, or estate planning matters.

If I had to choose again, it wouldn't be her. I was left with non shared custody of my kids because of her inability to fight for a father's rights or even act like she wanted to. Even though I brought forth many circumstances that would have made a difference, she tossed them aside like they wouldn't help my case and nothing could be done. Before the fpp had been set with my initial understanding i could recieve joint custody of my boys once they reached school age, which was also recommended by the guardian edlitem in her final paperwork, why wouldn't I believe this was the case? Apparently it was not the case because once its set, its set. After bringing more issues forward and reaching my frustration limit because she would do nothing for me I fired her and hired another attorney and he made it very clear. You should have had joint custody from the get go, she didn't do a good job representing you. Now I'm stuck with every other weekend unless something tragic happens to my boys while with their mom. Stay away from Allison King
