Very impressed... I contacted them for help with an L&I claim. They spent time reviewing the file and provided guidance on how to proceed, along with work product. They refused to bill me for what must have been at least a few hours work. They actually mean it that you don't need to hire an attorney to get their help. Cheryl was so helpful. The first time I spoke to Paul was in December 2016 about my divorce, after consulting with him. I hired Paul wolf to start my divorce process. it was a bit complicated because I live in the Netherlands but got married in New York. Paper work took a bit longer then expected but I got my divorce in 9 months which is still a good time frame. He always answers emails. it was easy to make an appointment to talk on the phone. Parker took my case in despite it not being in his firms day to day type of case. We went up against a large company that had the resources of 2 different defense terms working for them. After trying to settle and being offered nothing, Parker went into the jury trial and demonstrated his knowledge and stated the facts and proved to the jury the wrong that was done by the company and got every dollar we set out to get. I was injured in an accident @ Dayton Power & Light (DP&L) Killen Station, Rome Ohio on Apr. 19th, 2013. I suffered multiple Life changing injuries which required numerous surgeries from spinal injuries, broken ankle, torn tendons. James kept us very in the loop, always up to date on changes within our case. If we had any questions on the process or what something meant he had a way of using layman's terms that made it easy for us "non lawyers" to understand. James still is a point of contact for us when we have any questions regarding our auto insurance policy, when we're not sure what exactly covers what, as it can be complicated.
Also, our case was completed with settlement in five months, our accident was in September and settlement was given in January. My sister has an ongoing case that has lasted a year now and I told her she should have hired a better lawyer like I did! I'll try to make this very long story short: my husband got hurt on the job, not once, but twice! After the first injury, we went through his company's clinic for treatment and physical therapy, then came the paperwork riddled with all sorts of legal terminology that was beyond our understanding. In the end, the company's medical team found him to be clear to return to his full work duties. However, this was not the case. He was still in constant pain but we thought we had no other option so he returned to work. I won't reveal the name of the company but it's a very well known food manufacturer and my husband's position was very physically demanding. Fast forward six months later, he's injured again. This time we weren't going to just go with whatever his company's team said. A very good friend of mine who is a Family Law attorney referred us to the Almighty Jessica Rafipour. I contacted her by phone, told her the basics of the situation and she scheduled us to come to her office to meet in person. Anyone who has had to go through a LEGITIMATE worker's comp case knows the stress and frustration you feel with all the paperwork, doctor appointments, therapy appointments, phone calls, etc. I stress LEGITIMATE because there are fraudulent claims out there and those claims are the reason why people who are LEGITIMATELY injured have to go through so much to be compensated. I was referred to Ben in 2020 after I took it upon myself to file an industrial injury/workers compensation claim. The claim was initially denied, as is the case in the majority of claims filed, and a court date was set. It was then I called Bens office and he was able to successfully obtain a rather generous award after a short period of time. While working with him on my claim I came to realize that he possesses a wealth of knowledge about the workers compensation system and always had an answer to any questions or concerns I had.
Ben is still diligently working on getting me a lifetime award through another type of claim he filed on my behalf because of the accumulation of injuries I sustained over my 30 plus years with my employer.
Unlike the negative reviews that are out there, I can’t imagine nor did I ever experience Ben not following up with me after I contacted him or him giving any type of bad advice. I would not give any weight to what was written that is not positive about him. Some people are just unhappy no matter what transpires.
