After thirty five years with the company, only missing time out due to two pregnancies, I got hurt at work. One would think after all these years with the company one would know what to do. To my surprise, people were saying you can't file a workers’ comp claim, the company will fire you or make your life miserable.
I called many different law firms and they would not take my case. It was looking very gloomy until someone recommended Will Inman to me. He is very knowledgeable, straight forward, patient and very clear with every step of the way. All one has to do is follow his instructions. He gives you top priority which makes you feel like you are his only client. His office is very busy and the staff is very competent. Will is a professional who makes you feel at ease. He acts swiftly when necessary and knows when to ride out the process. This professional behavior is the result of a man who understands how to deal with the minutia of law.
As someone who is struggling, this is very important because I feel anxious about how long everything takes and whether or not I'll be able to provide for my future because my original plans no longer matter since having a life-changing accident. Will gets the "big picture" and what more could put you at ease than knowing you've found an attorney who will actively defend your legal woes for the best possible outcome. I keep reminding myself that it's difficult to see a big picture when you stand too close to it. I had a workers' comp case, which I thought was complicated by other events at work. Mike is very straightforward and informs you what is important in workers' comp law and what is not. He is very straightforward on what your case is worth, and explains injury caps. Working with Pinnacol, he selected an independent doctor who was 100% on my side helping our case. Joann was great about leaving messages, on my phone and following up with email. I felt like I didn't have to fight anymore and trusted him to do it for me and he did a great job.

I switched from another attorney because of lack of communication. I have both of my attorneys personal cell phone numbers and can contact them anytime, this makes me feel very involved in my case.They got me to a Dr. who has a upstanding reputation, and will not only help my case but actually care how I want to handle my medical treatment. When they took my case they also took my 3 childrens cases over from the other law office because it was already settled but we had been waiting more than 2 months to set up their accounts. The Palmer law office not only set up the accounts without a fee, they found that there was over $2000, that was unaccounted for in all the court documents the other office did, so my kids got a lot more than we had agreed on. You tell me, where WOULD that money had gone?
When you speak to them they are so personable yet professional, but that makes me feel so good about having them on my side is it's so obvious they have three things that we do not see enough of... in 1996 I was referred to Ms. Brown by several medically retired L.E. Officers. I was going through hell with my city on Worker's Comp, that's until I retained Ms. Brown, everything then did a complete 180 degree I didn't feel any longer stressed about my medical benefits or the city's workers comp. trying to do their best not to give benefits and at one point forcing me to retire. When I say she is no nonsense, she looked at my file and told me; She's never seen a more accident prone person in my profession this was right in front of my wife too. She was even more aggressive and truly professional when dealing with the city and it's workers comp carrier.
I did have to retire but on my terms and she made sure I was taken care of 100% medically afterwards. I recommend her without a doubt to any public safety person in need of an Excellent WC attorney!

When you are faced with a disabliliy, loss of your chosen profession, loss of your life-style and retirement, Linda is the one-friend you can count on.
The "Defense" can hire a team of lawyers, claim administrators, private investigators and so-called medical experts. You, the injured person, can only count of one person. In my case, that was Linda , ...and I didn't make a bad choice. She will watch out for you and your rights, when everyone else has turned against you. Linda saved me a lot of grief.
Linda is up on the current law changes, and legal requirements. With all the changes in California, law enforcement officer need a smart attorney.
Additionally, Linda does not let the large defense firm push you around. She would submit items to me, before I would ask for them.
My case was involved and a total mess, but Ms. Brown took control and watched out for her client. Thanks Linda.

We gotca bad judge trying the case but David persuaded the defendant Sonia Uwanawich to settle and pay us the maximim settlement that Judge Recana would allow, which was $89,000. New v. Michael returned my request for information over the weekend. He was quick to get me into the office to talk about my case and I was surprised that he had all the answers to my questions and gave additional information i didnt think to ask about. I was contacted by the Missouri Workers Compensation Division and was told that I had a hearing over my settlement. I had no idea what that meant, but I noticed that the workman's comp. insurance company of my former employer, had a law firm representing them. Ryan E Murphy is the best lawyer ever! My right shoulder was injured and when I did my part and told the company I worked for that I was hurt. The company turned there cheek and didn't care. How refreshing. We had a ton of questions for a Workman's Comp/Retirement issue and only had one day in which to make our decision. We called Kraig late in the day on a Thursday afternoon and he was beyond patient with us plus took the time to explain everything in great detail. He explained that in our particular case we probably wouldn't come out ahead to hire him, but did give us tips on how to negotiate ourselves with Workman's Comp. Who does that? He did not try to up sell us, sign us or give us grandiose expectations, simply straight talked and gave us our best options. Thank you Kraig. We choose your law firm at random from internet listings but will recommend and choose your law firm in the future because of your compassion and the professional interaction we had with you. I found myself in need of a lawyer to represent me in two legal matters. The first was regarding Social Security and the second case dealing with the Public Employees Retirement System, better known as (PERS). Like many people I had no idea where to turn. My professional caregiver strongly suggested that I speak with Erica J. Mandell because several clients had similar experiences with social security and they received favorable results from Ms. Mandell and Her services. I telephoned Her office and left my name and contact information. Ms. Mandell returned my call in less than one hour and arranged a consultation for the very next day. 
Ms. Mandell instructed me to bring along any paperwork that I received from the Social Security Office to the consultation meeting. After reviewing the paperwork and explaining exactly what was contained in the received paperwork and what responses were required, Ms. Mandell agreed to represent me in my cases. Ms. Mandell explained to me it was important to understand what was happening with the cases and She would walk me through everything. That was a promise She completely kept from start to finish.
Erica Mandell explains confidentiality and that she would not speak or correspond with any person, medical professional, or other entity without my express written authorization. 
As with any government agency the rules and regulations can be extremely complex. The Social Security Administration and (PERS) are no different and no less complicated. As a regular person it can be very overwhelming. It was a great relief to have Ms. Mandell there to translate all those letters and documents into something I could understand. She explained what information they requested and required. And the order in which the returned documents needed to be processed. She explained the the out going paperwork was equally as important as incoming documents if the process was to proceed accurately. Step by step with exceptional detail and determination every I was dotted and every T was crossed.
I was a difficult client as I was not very willing to discuss my conditions. Erica J. Mandell was able to listen and empathize with all that I am going through and more importantly was able to put the words to the required papers. That was something which I would never have been able to complete on my own.
My Social Security Administration case was concluded. The results were favorable on my behalf. It was great relief to myself and my family.
Even though all of the documentation was accepted on time and in order without errors or corrections my PERS case required in person testimony by myself, my family, and by medical professionals by an NJ State Judge. I think it is important to mention that having and advocate with you during the legal process is essential. I always felt that Ms. Mandell had my best interests in mind during the cases. It is with great appreciation that I would like to share my experience with Robert Blamer as my attorney and legal representation in my difficult and unusual case involving my automobile accident.
When I first met Mr. Blamer at his office I was very hesitant, uncertain and confused. The head trauma I suffered in the accident left me feeling vulnerable, a position I was not used to being in.
During the progression of that initial meeting - though I remained reserved, I quickly found myself warming to his approachable personality. His strength of character and extensive knowledge gave me the assurance I needed to go forward with entrusting my case to him though I remained guarded.
As time and my case progressed Mr. Blamer ( slightly exasperated I might add ) made the statement, " Gloria at some point you are going to have to trust me ". In response I skeptically raised my eyebrows in drawn out silence. Trust is not something I have ever taken lightly or given freely and with my history must be hard earned and proven.
At the close of my case as we settled in our seats for the final decisions Mr. Blamer looked over at me and said, " I don't like to loose." I stared back intently and gamely replied, " I don't either".
Not surprising to me, we did win the case and for the first time ever I found myself signing documents without painstakingly reading them first. I had given him the highest honor I could have given anyone.

I was referred to JKLF by Legalshield. I hired them to handle my divorce. Boyd Roberts along with his assistant Trudy went above and beyond my expectations.
Trudy worked a lot of late hours drawing up paperwork and making sure everything was documented correctly. If she had a question she'd call me direct to verify. She's very respectful and a hard worker.
Boyd is a no BS attorney but absolutely professional at the same time. He knows the law and uses it rather than getting angry and talking smack. We imposed sanctions 2 or 3 different times because my ex wife and her attorney were doing nothing to move it along. They weren't getting paperwork and documents to us that the judge ordered. We ended up settling outside of court, she agreed to a cash settlement and I kept my whole retirement account. Boyd and/or Trudy drew up the settlement agreement and still always promptly answered any questions i had. Boyd was always 2 steps ahead of her attorney thro the whole process even tho she filed the divorce. He was reasonable and fair, always knew what to expect and how to handle each situation. Let me start by saying that I was injured at work. I was a truck driver that was involved in a serious truck accident that caused me to be paralyzed and eventually caused me to lose my left leg.

Richard Fitzpatrick has been my attorney for the past few years. He relentlessly pursued my Workers Comp insurance company for a fair settlement. He also suggested that I apply for Social Security Disability. It took a while for a hearing with a judge, but Richard continued to help me and wouldn't let SSD off the hook. The Social Security office dropped the ball in regards to an appeal and Richard persistently pursued them. Between both cases it took several years and i is finally over.
