Ryan is a good attorney! He took over my husband's case from one of the worst hippie slob attorneys we've ever met. It took a while to settle the case, but those who understand workers' comp and the ever changing laws in California will understand it takes a good amount of time until the case can be settled. There's a lot of back-n-forth between quite a few entities involved, and a lot of the time, the defense drags it out. Ryan was easy to work with and talk with and kept us in the loop the entire way. He's also very knowledgeable regarding the ever changing California workers' comp laws, who the good doctors and specialist are, and other issues you will have to deal with throughout the journey. I've worked in the workers' comp field with quite a few attorneys, and I would hire Ryan again in a heartbeat.

I contacted me.canter about my case and he instantly replied and made me confident he knew and dealt with my works insurance company plenty of times. And I was not deceived. Due to him having many cases, I did have to keep calling and check on status parts of the case, but me.canter and hisbteam were all very sympathetic, and informative as well as helpful. Because of his professional experience I was able to only suffer four months (instead of years and was all works insurance fault) and he was able to speed up the process of my settlement and the check because the insurance company taking forever caused my family and I to become homeless.
I received my check a week in a half maybe close to two weeks after it was signed.
I highly recommend Mr. Canter and his staff. They try very hard to be as responsive and quick as possible and you can tell they actually care about you, not in it for his (small) percentage of the money.

Mr Canter was a very helpful advocate when I was dealing with an injury which made it hard to get back to work. Mr. Jenkins handled a floodway issue that came up when my building burnt in 2016. I went to the county to get a building permit to start rebuilding and I was told that I was in the floodway. After working with the county for a year I could not get the county to listen to anything I said about a mistake FEMA made back in 1984. Mr. Jenkins got with the county attorney and finally got the matter resolved. Mr. Jenkins got the job done and we are starting to rebuild.

John did a great job for me. I had a bad DUI and I didn't think there was much I could do about it, but John really helped me out. We was able to work out a great deal for me and walked me through the court process like a pro. They took my case because they said it was" the right thing to do. " I didnt know what to expect from a case like this. You can read her diligence in this case in her exceptions to the court at Florida Department of Administrative Hearings by searching her name. This case was taken to the 1dca. We were the prevailing party. You can watch that court proceeding at 1dca and again,search her name. Ms. Sharon Proctor esq. The appealate attorneyand Jenna handled the case. What a team. I could say a lot of nice things about the two but the proof of her qualifications are in the case.
Ive seen reviews that were simply a bunch of lies or perhaps the Attorneys write them to look impressive here. Dont believe everything you read. Review cases.
If you want to win your case,hire her or anyone at Avera & Smith. You wont regret it.

My personal injury case was handled with Mike Cecere a trial lawyer with 20 years experience. His ability was what I had hoped for..
There are a very small percent of trial lawyers to achieve being board certified that was impressive.
He took depositions from employees and witness .
With the witness the sworn statement was not enough ..he then went and traveled to another state to take the deposition.
He told me he finds them and travels when they have moved and
had made contact in this case to get an employer to allow use of a room at end of the work day.
Very impressive guy .. he took time to always call back or email in trial when he wouid be in the office to talk. The office was always available to meet . The office staff is excellent.
In a few words found his experience showed , was in good hands and he was to handling the case himself , the insurance co. knew he was a personal injury attorney that went to court ..that was also great.
