Wow. Carolyn has knocked my socks off since hiring her. She is very involved with learning every aspect of my case. Her communication is incredibly timely, specific, and often. I have never needed a lawyer to represent me in the past, so this was my first experience. I bet that, along with fictional depictions of lawyers, a person's first experience with a lawyer probably colors how they generally think of them. If I am correct in that idea, then my idea of lawyers is that they are awesome.
Levity aside, Ashlee and her firm (to include Sue, the paralegal) are fantastic. I was going through a divorce that was initially civil and was going to be a joint petition but my ex kept delaying for months. Eventually I had to hire an attorney and from day one Ashlee was attentive in understanding the particulars of my circumstances, my ideal outcome, and explaining to me what I could expect.
I am the type who researches and ask questions. Ashlee was always available via their client portal and, once she realized my personality was to know the details, she provided explanations of everything happening along the way.
I ended with a settlement that was in line with what I wanted. 100% without hesitation recommend.

After many inquiries & dead end calls we were referred to Tammi.. we were told that she gets the job done right the first time so there are no loop holes in the future that could cause us any issues. We were so nervous and intimidated by the process but by the end of our first phone call with Tammi, she eased our worries & really talked us through step by step which in my case I needed as much info as possible to feel better and she freely gave it! In early 2021, I made one of my best decisions ever in retaining Barbara Thornell Ginn's law firm to represent me in the adoption of my stepson, whose life I entered in 2015 and whom I had raised since he was 18 months old.
Barbara was assigned to my case at the time and guided my wife and I through all of our available options from day one. Mine was a very complicated case as there was pending litigation involving my wife, the child's mother, outside of Florida that had yet to be resolved.
Barbara was able to confer with our out-of-state lawyer who had been retained three years prior to represent my wife in that matter. She never missed a beat. She and our out-of-state lawyer colloborated and conferred regularly, developing a very effective approach in the best interests of the child.
One of the many issues in dispute involved jurisdiction over the child and the two, semi-conflicting cases. Ultimately, the two involved judges conferred and agreed with Barbara's approach.
After two years of due diligence, coordination, hard work, and extraordinary legal acumen by Barbara and her firm, I was awarded the adoption of MY son (who is now nine years old) in late February.
As mentioned, the hiring of Barbara was an excellent decision, and I could not be more pleased with her and her firm's representation throughout the entire process.

Ms. Redwine took on our adoption case when previous counsel was failing to assure the custody of our children to us from the hospital. She worked quickly and set the proper course of action. She was very diligent in reviewing the previous counsel's work and found many errors that could have possibly threatened the permanency of the adoption in the future if someone would have chosen to contest it. My wife and I first contacted Denise a couple years ago as we got on track and into the process of a domestic adoption. Denise was very prompt in her responses to our questions, encouraged us, and was very friendly with each contact. We decided at that time that Denise was definitely our go-to adoption lawyer.
Fast forward a couple years, and my wife and I were anxiously waiting for the birth of our adopted son via an ideal open adoption situation. We had befriended both birthmom and birthdad, and our agency, social workers, and Denise were all wonderful. As we got into the tangle of legal documents and procedures, Denise helped us at every step and was extremely detail-oriented. For example, her instructions and guidance for our court appearance left no stone unturned. It was a welcome piece of communication from her and included dress, family attendance, camera and phone policy in court, waiting area, where to park, how to get there, the importance and sensitivity of being on time... the list goes on. For an adoptive family, for whom the process is likely to be the first time (like us), this was most appreciated.
Our adoption was finalized without a hiccup. A month later we received new birth certificates, but the state made several errors on them. Though we had paid Denise a long time before and were well "off-the-clock", Denise promptly told us what we needed to do. We followed her directions, and a week later we had newly issued and correct birth certificates.
Now, several months later, as difficult and as much work, time, and effort as it all was, we look back and think, "Ah, that wasn't so bad." Our experience, in total, took a long time, probably much longer than the average adoption, but our experience and outcome were next to ideal. My wife and I both have no doubt that our selection of Denise was the right choice. We highly recommend her to any adoptive family for legal counsel and assistance.

I’m not sure I can say enough nice things about Birney Bull.
Our adoptive son was born just before Christmas 2016. We live in KY, the adoption agency was in OH, and he was born in GA. As you can guess, getting coordination from three state governments during the holidays was not an easy process.
After several weeks away from home (we weren’t legally allowed to leave GA until all the legal paperwork was completed), we contacted Birney to find some help in getting the process expedited and finally taking our little man home.
Our first meeting was after regular office hours. He came in to work late just to help us.
If Birney was a doctor, I would praise his bedside manner. He was accommodating, knowledgeable, and kept our spirits up after having to be away from home for nearly a month.
Within a week of our first meeting, all of the paperwork and red tape had been taken care of and we were able to bring our boy home to meet his family.

Joseph and his team are incredible. I was dealing with a long distance divorce/custody case, with homeschooled children. I'd had a couple of attorneys, only one of whom actually helped, but then things seemed to fall apart. I needed to make some changes because my children were not doing well.
Our plan hadn't been finalized yet, so time was of the essence.
A few other mommas, in a similar situation, recommended Joe. I consulted with a few attorneys, but none of them were willing to really listen. All of them left me feeling hopeless and very triggered. After years of psychological and emotional abuse, I wasn't in a place to be able to handle those types of attorneys.
Joe was different. He was careful, calm, kind, and compassionate, but still straightforward with no b.s. I felt safe. I think that's what all of us want, really. Joe stayed in communication with me. He didn't leave me hanging. He kept me informed, answered every question, and was patient through all of it. He didn't yell at me (yeah, that has happened before). He helped me see things that needed to be seen and understand from better perspectives.
It was a bonus that we saw eye to eye on some things and I didn't feel like I had to defend myself to him.
We were able to come up with a new plan that kept the children's best interests as the top priority and avoid going to trial.
I'm truly grateful and blessed. God put him in my path right when I needed it most.

I highly recommend Marshal and all the legal staff at the Willick Law Group. I hired them to assist me in a complicated family matter and they were simply amazing in their handling of my case. I consulted with John initially, and thought I couldn’t afford him. To my dismay, I retained another lawyer who was decent but didn’t safeguard issues the way John had outlined in our initial consultation. Unfortunately, due to lack of prevention in my initial trial proceedings, another motion was filed against me, and I then retained his services. I spent over $10k from not utilizing his advice and suggestions. I could have spent less than half of that, if I would have retained him the first time. I cannot promise you that he can save the world; but he will advise you appropriately. He will not let you indulge in the abyss of desire that will never come to fruition. If not for Jeremy Piggott, I am sure I would still have squatters living in my home. After two months of excuses why rent was not paid and yet they could not move out, my property manager suggested I call Piggott, Piggott & Kearce. From my first phone call, I knew this practice was professional, serious, efficient, and would get the job done. In fact, Jeremy was on vacation, but he called me within an hour. In 30 minutes, we had a plan. He sent the first document right after we hung up. Jeremy checked in with me several more times during his vacation. I knew exactly what was supposed to happen at every stage, and it did, exactly when it said it would. The delivery and follow-up of several documents resulted in the tenants vacating in less than three weeks after my first phone call to Piggott, Piggott & Kearce. I hope I never have to do this again, but if do, or if anyone I know has an issue with tenants, this is only firm I would use or recommend.

My wife and I worked with Suzanne during a custody and child support modification that my ex-wife filed around the time when the previous poster who chose to remain "Anonymous" commented and gave a one-star rating. To that poster - you know your case better than anyone else including your attorney and if you catch something in a draft document that your attorney didn't - so what. It's your case so you should be reading the documents, catching things, and making changes/suggestions too. If there is something that is important to you, then stick to your guns. Don't blame your attorney because something that they might not view as important in the grand scheme of the case may be very important to you for some particular reason. So communicate that to you, it is important and why it is such and recognize that sometimes it is easier to give on something if it means you can move on.
For me, I was extremely pleased with Suzanne on everything from responsiveness, timeliness, counseling within the legal guidelines, documenting, settling, and finalizing the entire custody and child support modification. In working with Suzanne, I felt that it was a team effort - my wife and I had our role, Suzanne had hers, and we coordinated on everything in between - strategy, ideas, negotiating points, documentation, etc. She is very direct, engaging, and is very timely in her responses and turnaround time. My only regret is that I didn't have Suzanne as the attorney for my divorce and the first modification. Thanks, Suzanne.

Me and my wife recently finalized an adoption with Ms. Prescott. We initially started the process with another lawyer and was getting no where. My wife located Ms. Prescott and gave her a call. From the very first meeting we felt very comfortable with her and she was very excited to work our case. There were some snags along the way but not from their doing. There were several waiting periods on certain things but her office stayed on top of them and communicated what was going on when we asked and even when we didn't. The adoption was very sensitive and Suzanne made sure certain things were not mentioned to our daughter. Really and truly we just kind of sat back and cruised through the whole process.
