I hired Sara for my divorce. During the free consultation, she actually asked me questions that showed me that she cared about me. She is super busy but I could always reach her paralegal and was kept informed and I got the result that I wanted.

Sara represented me in a custody battle. My ex threatened to raise support every time she got mad at me, gave me the kids when it suited her and changed plans without giving me a choice. Sara Marler got me extra time with my kids, got my support lowered due to the additional time I had the kids and got better conditions for the exchange. You get what you pay for - it was my kids. I wanted the best. I didn't want a bargain lawyer. I got the best.

Ms. Bayne is a phenomenal family law attorney! My wife and I have been her clients since 2015 and from the get go she listened and empathized. She is real and transparent; providing the proper strategy and letting you know every course of action along the way. We had very difficult cases, especially our contested adoption case. She went above and beyond for us and she will go above and beyond for you. We really enjoyed our strategy sessions with her where we would lay out different options, analyze the pros and cons, and then make a decision for the best way forward with backup options at the ready. Doug is the best Attorney in Miami, he goes prepared and knows the law. I have a grandson who’s mother died. Then his dad died 6 months later. My grandsons other grand parents tried coming in and taking him away from me. I was a single grandmother and they were a couple. I was terrified I’d loose as far as guardianship went. I hired Doug and he won our case. And it wasn’t from lack the other attorney trying. They even tried saying our family was on drugs just because my nephew put a marijuana symbol on face book. Everybody knows as adults we don’t always know what our teenagers will do. But my grandson was with me so much and Doug proved this. And they ended up with visitation which I would have never taken from them. He has a right to know both sides of his family. But they tried taking all my rights away. But with Doug it all back fired on them. So yes I was so glad I’m the one who hired him and not them. He’s a little high but you pay for what you get. So if you want to win hire Doug you won’t be dissatisfied.

I do not recommend this law firm. I was told when I started the probate for my mother's estate that it would cost anywhere from $5K to $6K. Months later I was told by Mr. Leonard that it would be closer to $8K. Now the price ends up being almost $11K!!! I was very clear about what the estate involved upfront so I don't understand why the price was so high. I was provided a 15 page bill when I questioned the charge. They have a portal to use as a way to communicate and upload documents. There were a few times I asked questions and I had to beg for an answer (or they just ignored me). Find another attorney unless you want to pay a crazy amount of money for minimal service.

I had a great experience with Bob Leonard and his knowledgable team--from Bob, himself, to his paralegal, as well as his office staff. Everyone is helpful and really cares about their clients. Doesn’t answer any questions but charges for every email and I don’t even get a reply back. We went to court and she never asked about my case until an hour before we go in to the hearing and didn’t know anything about what was going on in my case.

I was referred to Ms. Pierce from another law firm. Ms. Pierce was kind enough to spend FREE time in talking about my case even via email. I don't want to clog up her client list, but she's a rare find. I was trying contest my father's will after he died and after I had already texted him some horrible things about him as a father and dead beat dad. Ms. Pierce advised me well and was straightforward about it all. Although I don't have a chance in heck to fight my father's will, I'm glad she took the time to be straight with me. If I had a case that was somewhat worthy or if my father had diminished capacity, then I believe she would have worked with me pro bono and given me even more great advice!

In addition, she was a sole practitioner vs. a law office with 25+ attorneys. I needed someone who was not only caring, patient, a good listener but also extremely competent, well respected. Ms. Glocker Pierce is not a person you want to have to meet, that is not to say she is not a pleasant person, cause she is, but frankly no one wants to have to contact a lawyer. However if/when life puts you in situations where a lawyer is needed Julie is a person you should contact.
I consulted with 4 other attorneys across two counties prior to having my consultation with Ms. Glocker Pierce and I knew with in the first 90 seconds of our conversation that I would be securing her services. Every other attorney I spoke with made promises about what they "would win" for me without even hearing my situation. Julie's approach was much different, she listened to the details, laid out a plan, asked me to implement my part of that plan and then did her part to secure the best out come.
Over the course of 2-3 years of using Julie's services she was always direct, provided only what I needed to know, reached out to me only when there was something I needed do, which is not to say that I felt rushed or not a priority, it was exclusively because she was trying to keep costs down for me.
My only regret in with working with Julie, was not doing exactly what she said to do, had I followed her advice I am confident I would have had less expense, time in court and the very minor portion of the rulings that did not go in my favor would have.
There were times hearing what Julie had to say was not easy and not what I wanted to hear, but that's what an attorney is paid to do right? A good lawyer should tell you what you need to hear not what you want to hear and Julie Glocker Pierce is exactly that, a VERY good lawyer.

Financially ruined my family and did not deliver. Did not do what she said she would do. Procrastinated with a million "the dog ate my homework" excuses.
Demanded a flat fee retainer of $45,000 up front for a child custody dispute. Paid her because I was vulnerable and emotional and wanted to protect my children. Now I'm deeply in debt. Four months into the case, she had still not served a discovery request on the other party. Never went after my ex-husband for child support. She told me she was going to file a Rule 11 sanction against my ex-husband and his lawyer before I hired her. She also never did this.
I finally fired her after four months of inaction on her part. When I fired her, she told me the $45,000 was gone, and I would be getting zero refund. It then took her about a month to produce billing records. What a joke.
She charged me $8,575.00 for actual work and $36,300.00 for emails, texts, and phone calls. I am serious. This is the way this woman operates.
And many of my communications to her were in response to her directing me to email her information for motions she never drafted. Many of our communications were me asking (begging) her to please do her job and her giving me false assurances and promises in response.
When I asked for my file to give to my next lawyer, she said I was harassing her. When I said I disputed her insane billing and wanted to mediate the matter, she said I was harassing her. Before I fired her, she kept telling me we were friends. She told me I would look bad to the judge if I fired her.
Hey, North Carolina: This is an attorney in good standing with the North Carolina bar? What a joke.
Wish me luck with my complaint to the NC bar and lawsuit.
You know how, when you enter a cockroach-infested room and turn on the light, they scurry for cover? They really hate the light of day, don't they.

This attorney charged me a $45,000 flat fee to represent me in a custody/child support case. She never filed anything pursuing child support and didn’t do what she said was going to do. I finally fired her after four months because she hadn’t even filed a discovery request on the other side. After I fired her, she refused to refund even one penny. My family is devastated. I’m a single mother of four. I will be complaining and pursuing a refund. Excessive fee and did not do what she promised. Then when I asked for refund, told me she spent $45,000 in four months of representation. She only represented me at one hearing. I’m taking this to the authorities.

I hired Lisa to represent me in my divorce. The circumstances in my case were probably the hardest that a lawyer can deal with. Specifically, my ex wife was abusive and extremely mentally ill. Without Lisa, I do not believe my children would be in a safe place right now. She was honest and forthcoming about my advantages, weak points, and things to consider. She was not afraid to tell me when I was wrong, which should be appreciated in cases like this. The divorce was long and drawn out, 15 months. During that time, Lisa was patient with my stress, and always answered questions in a timely manner. If you want a lawyer with integrity and honesty, but also knows how to win, you would do well to hire Lisa. There is not enough gratitude in the world for me to express just what she has done for my children and me.

Mr Mercado was hired for a child support case and did not have his clients best interest. Constantly had to call and email his office for responses When I did get a response, it was a request for information that I had already sent. Horrible experience and I have no choice but to continue with this case as it has been going on for a year with no resolution. I would not recommend this attorney.

Make sure your uncontested status will not change. Mine did and Mr. Grossman just sent me a list of other attorneys to contact. My $2000 retainer was forfeited as per his CONTRACT is NONREFUNDABLE!! I messaged him about a possible partial refund or credit towards his mediation services and he never even responded to me. Lesson learned, read the contract and DONT TRUST ANYONE to be upstanding. He received $2000 for doing ABSOLUTLY NOTHING!!!

Would not suggest Bradley bodeux ever he's a family attorney here I had a case he was my lawyer for and lost the case with him but that's not even the issue the issue is years later someone asked him for information from my side and he spilled it all including video from the office this person was in favor of the otherside I found this information out when I started talking to the other side about going back to court. DO NOT TRUST HIM HE WILL TELL PEOPLE YOUR PRIVATE STUFF AND NOT FOLLOW CONFIDENTIALITY!

First i want to say Lee Nation is a nice person. But he is a NOT a good lawyer, definitely not a strong lawyer. I am writing this to protect others from choosing an incompetent lawyer to ruin their cases. He does not prepare, he does not respond calls and emails promptly and most of time even ignore them. His answers are inconsistent and misleading. And he gave wrong legal advices. He read my documents only 11 PM at the night before the trial. His mind was not present at the trial. He was passive and did not fight. It was a waste of money, but it was also the source of stresses. I do not recommend him. Take time and be patient and find a good lawyer who does the work you pay for and fight for you.

Attorney Simon-Tov was my most recent GAL for my 13 year old and 4 year old. I’ve been in and out of court for several years for my kids and dealt with different GAL’s. She was the first person to really collect the facts and be the most accurate in her report for court. She was the first to really be fair and honest. She definitely did everything a GAL supposed to, which I found amazing. Her being the GAL this time really made a positive impact for the better on my 13 year old. While I still wish differently for my 4 year old, unfortunately there are laws in place that prohibits certain changes to the custodial order. But over all she was great! She was approachable, really researched, professional, listens, and fair! The BEST GAL you could ask for!

I've used Julie for several years now and am very pleased with the service she's provided for me in my very challenging post-divorce cases. Rob has represented me in several matters. I always felt his advice was given in my best interest even when it was not what I was hoping to hear. He helped negotiate a divorce settlement for me that I was comfortable with and probably was the most favorable I could have hoped for.

Ten years ago Richard was just ok. Although recommending a Special Needs Trust for my parents' wills turned out to be an unnecessary and expensive proposition. In needing to dissolve this SNT following both of their passing, we sought a meeting with him, but had a Zoom meeting instead. He simply read our emailed questions back to us with out answering them. He was not helpful and seemed to be confused, just referring us to other associates for things we needed.

He prepared a complete estate planning package for us - trust, wills, durable powers of attorney for asset management and health care, and advance health directives. At first meeting he projected a quiet confidence that immediately set us at ease. From initial conference through document filing Richard was the consummate professional, knowledgeable, approachable, thoughtful, responsive, patient, and caring. His staff also exhibited those same fine attributes throughout. Together Richard and staff made our estate planning a most pleasant and productive experience.
Richard brings to his practice many strengths. We received a panicked call from the escrow company handling the refinance of our home advising we needed to remove it from our trust 'right then' in order for the refinance to move forward to closing a few days away. I phoned Richard at 5:00 pm that day and the next morning at 10:00 am we were in his office signing the necessary documents. No muss, no fuss, just a great example of the exemplary service Richard and staff routinely provide.
Richard was an absolute delight to work with throughout the entire estate planning process and again during our recent need for his expertise and services. As I near $40k, and over a year and a half in divorce expenses, I could not imagine having a better lawyer and ally than Dave Schanbacher. In divorcing the daughter and sister, of two county judges (from the county in which we and our children live), Dave has brought a superior knowledge and accountability to a flawed system. His profound expertise has enabled him to sort out fact from fiction, and to beautifully navigate what is clearly an uphill battle, and an arduous process. While we still have much work to do, I can’t imagine having a better and more trustworthy attorney. Hired him for my divorce. Definitely laid it on thick when first met him. Provided him with detailed and organized information. Paid him considerably to review information and to be prepared. None of that happened. He was so disorganized and unprepared in court. I found times where I had to bring information to court that he already had, but wasn’t prepared with. He still fumbled through and couldn’t present case. Pretty embarrassing. I give you one example of many. We had to go in front of divorce master. Both parties had appraisals done. One item a four wheeler was appraised $1600.00 of any book value. I pointed this out to Dave way before meeting to submit for evidence. He said just bring to meeting. Needless to say divorce master wouldn’t except it because it wasn’t submitted for evidence. Thanks Dave you just cost me $1600.
This is just one of many mistakes. I really considered firing him, but at the time I couldn’t afford another retainer. Believe me I checked with other lawyers. When I told them what was going on, they just shook their heads.
I hope someone who reads this,learns from my mistake. Looks somewhere else. I will say this about Dave, he’s a shark when he’s trying to get more money from you. Too bad it doesn’t follow into court. Sad display for a lawyer claiming to have all this experience. Good luck.
