I had a very complicated divorce case in Bedford County. Stan Bennett was my main attorney, but I also worked with Dinah Michael and Brad Hornsby. Allyson Hornsby did a phenomenal job as my paralegal too. Stan really believed in my case and is very well respected in Bedford County. The number of times I was told by the judge, mediator, etc that “they’ve never seen anything like this” is a good testament to how complicated my case was. Stan and his team fought with everything they had during each trial, appeal and challenge. They used their vast legal knowledge and were willing to do the research for all of the unusual things that came up. Zero stars. Constantly felt like my counsel was working more closely to appeasement of opposing counsel rather than what I overpaid for. I would not recommend this law firm to anyone. You would be better of retaining a lawyer that you pay as you go as opposed to overpaying a non refundable retainer to this firm. The only reason it is not zero is that I wouldn’t be allowed to post this and warn against signing up for this firm. Shop around and save some money would most definitely be my advice. Thx

Attorney Dodd negotiated from opposing counsel’s deficient Parenting Agreement, recommending various ‘healthy practices’ and notifications about travel and relocation that were adopted in a binding agreement. Now that we are living separately with the children on a regular schedule we have time to reconcile property division and spousal support so we may file a mutual consent divorce on our family’s terms. I appreciated Rick’s sensitivity to parenting concerns and diligent negotiation throughout.

I was served a deposition subpoena to testify in a family dispute in which I had avoided becoming involved two weeks before trial. Another lawyer referred me to Rick to advise and represent me at the deposition. Although the trial attorney wouldn’t cancel the deposition, Rick bargained to limit the deposition to only two hours and defended me capably during the deposition. I hope never to need an attorney again for this reason, but would be glad to hire Rick again or recommend him to friends.

Daniel and his assistant Julie have been fantastic and I can only count finding them as a blessing. They have helpped me in my case and am currently in the the last leg of my proceedings. Regardless of the outcome I know that they have done their best by me and have more then earned my respect and trust. I never needed a lawyer and the most amount of legal issues I've had were traffic tickets. Daniel was able to educate me a bit on the process and the reality of the system. He and Julie were able to guide me to a very acceptable outcome for the divorce and have been very flexible the few times ive needed it.
