I originally called Mr. Bohannon's office related to a non-compliance charge against my husband for interlock violation. We previously worked with another attorney but because the attorney was also friends with the judge and court employees in a small town, time and effort did not seem to be taken for fair evaluation of my husband's case and the attorney did not seem to address certain issues with the judge on behalf of clients due to his personal conflict of interest. My husband was not under court order for interlock but instead in a voluntary program. Thus, these charges should never have been filed. I searched for an attorney outside of the usual local group and located Mr. Bohannon. I called on a Sunday to leave a message as I needed representation ASAP and actually got a call back that very day! I was impressed with his communication skills, empathy for both myself and husband, and prompt response. I was able to schedule an in person meeting within a couple of days. At that meeting, he dedicated uninterrupted time to my husband's case, explaining what the possible scenarios might be in court and how he would handle each one, as needed. He worked diligently on my husband's behalf to keep him from spending time in jail, away from work and family, understanding that he was in a voluntary program. He was not afraid to discuss that my husband was not actually under court supervision and thus non-compliance charges were not appropriate. He began working with the DA before even entering the courtroom, ensuring that court proceedings went smoothly. Attorneys should do the job that they are hired to do, regardless of their relationships with court employees in the community and with Mr. Bohannon, it was clear that he took his job seriously and worked to get the best results for his client. If you do not have trust and rapport with your attorney, you are less likely to have success and Mr. Bohannon established both of these immediately and continued to exemplify this professionalism throughout the process.

I spent a lot of time searching for an attorney that has experience in handling expungements in VA. VA is one of the toughest states to grant expungements and to handle it by yourself is pure stupidity.
The next couple of days I spoke with many different attorneys via telephone and office consultation.
Office: I visited Mr. Vincenzes Law firm in Fairfax where I was greeted by his secretary staff and offered coffee until my appointment time.
Consultation: Mr. Vincenzes explained how the expungement process would work and what was needed from me. We agreed on a very reasonable price for 2 misdemeanor expungements.
Mr.Vincenzes and his partner Josh understood the urgency I was facing being a college graduate wanting to enter the Law Enforcement profession. I did not want this youthful mistake haunting my future.
Mr. Vincenzes and Joshua kept me informed and updated me with any news relating to my case.
Court: The prosecutor was hesitant to approve BOTH expungements. However, Mr. Vincenzes did not go down without a fight. He was able to explain to the judge every reason why it should be granted. Believe me, This is an attorney that is very skilled ( I trust him with my life). His Experience & knowledge in the courtroom and law is magnificent.

When I was charged two, yes two i really thought my life was over. I had never been in trouble with the law and I was personally battling anxiety depression, and PTSD. The criminal charges were false alarm calls to Loudoun County EMT and deputies and the second was in Fairfax County for disorderly conduct. Fortunately, I went through AVVO and found Brent and his right hand man Sean ( a former prosecutor.) This is the BEST DECISION I MADE. TRUST ME. All got plead out and no jail time for me. I highly recommend Atty. Taylor and his office. I was charged with doing 91 in a 70 mph zone, so it was a Reckless Driving Speeding Misdemeanor charge. He appeared in court on my behalf and I ended up doing 24 hrs Community Service, completing an 8 hr online Defensive Driving Course, and paying $431 in fines to the court, and my charge was dropped down to an Improper Control/Driving charge, which is an Infraction, not a Misdemeanor. A win in my book.
Regarding Attorney Taylor - he was great from the start. He responded to my call right away and was informative and reassuring. He clearly explained what the penalties and consequences of my charges were and explained what he could do to lessen the charges. I was totally stressed and at a complete loss as to what to do, especially since I lived out of state, and hiring him immediately took all that stress away. He was affordable and his services were worth every penny. His office was wonderful as well. Megan, a Legal Assistant at the office, was very responsive to all my emails, which I really appreciated. Getting through the whole process really would have been impossible without them, especially being out of state. The court appearances were scheduled and then continued 4 times! His Office kept me informed, finally appeared in court for me, and in the end, gave me a letter clearly articulating exactly what I needed to do and by when in order to fulfill the Deferred Disposition and get my charges amended. I found Mr Hicks on Google as soon as I realized I needed a good attorney. He was close by and seemed to be excellently qualified for my need. We met and he explained his fee structure as well as what I should expect and what he would do to try and mitigate. His honesty made my first experience on the back side of the law at least tolerable and less traumatic. In the end he convinced the prosecutor to reduce the charge to a misdemeanor and suspended sentence with probation. He is also returning the lion’s share of my deposit, saying his ethics demanded a refund of unearned funds. You can’t beat that.

I was in a truly hopeless situation before I was referred to Ms. Miller by a coworker. My daughter was in a terrible, volatile environment with a mentally unstable mother who was failing to perform basic motherly duties. I felt powerless to the situation. Jennifer was immediately encouraging from our first phone call, and jumped on getting the necessary papers filed for emergency custody. She worked with me and my family to get my daughter permanently out of the situation and living with me.
She was able to articulate the situation to the judge perfectly, as well as work with the judge to formulate a parenting plan that includes not only protections for my daughters wellbeing as she grows and is allowed more time with her mother, but also allows me, as the custodial parent, to monitor her mothers mental state. The plan requires regular updates to the court and to me about her mental health treatment, and protects my daughter if things take a bad turn in that regard. My daughter is thriving and happy today with a healthy routine, and none of this would’ve been possible without Jennifer’s extensive knowledge of the WA State legal system.

Last year I hired Kirkland attorney Glen St. Louis after my husband and his attorney got me to sign divorce papers saying that I would receive a 35k judgment on "distribution of property" in a divorce if I have up a claim for spousal maintenance. My husband had agreed to take all the credit card debt which accumulated over 17 years of marriage. after I signed the documents, I decided it was still best that I see an attorney to review what I thought was a good deal. I was shocked when Mr. St. Louis explained that it appeared my husband had tricked me into a "35K Judgment" because it was clear from all the paperwork and debt that he took, that my husband was going to declare bankruptcy when the divorce was final to get out of the credit card debt and to get out of paying the 35K judgment. Mr. St Louis also explained to me that it was practically impossible to pull my ex-husband into court for contempt of property distribution award because he explained the family law did not allow that. In other words I was about ready to lose everything I thought I was getting in the divorce, and there was absolutely nothing I could do about it. My ex-husband later admitted to me that this was indeed his intentions. I had to spend over 5K to Mr. St. Louis to get out of the agreement, and with hard work and ingenuity, Mr. St. Louis got everything tossed out of court and forced a settlement on my husband and his attorney in my favor to re-structure my 35K bankrupt able property award into spousal maintenance, plus attorney fees. I could not have been happier. My regret was that I did not consult with an attorney before I got myself into the problem, but I was very very happy and satisfied that Mr. St. Louis got the agreement thrown out and a whole new settlement that my ex-husband could not discharge himself out of in bankruptcy. He now has to pay me court ordered spousal maintenance until the total sum of 35K is paid in full. Mr. St. Louis is very good in court and knows how to weave the facts and tell the story of a client's case into the process of the law to the court and best represent the client very well in court. I now receive monthly installment of spousal maintenance I never would have received without Mr. St Louis help. I got the additional small bonus justice was done and my ex-husband is very angry with what Mr. St. Louis accomplished for me. I would hire Mr. St. Louis in an instant if I ever needed legal services. I highly recommend his skills and talent to anyone with family law problems.

My divorce in King County Superior Court is finally done and I am thankful to my attorney, Glen St.Louis as he managed to get me a parenting plan that protected my daughter and got me a lot more in property settlement proceeds than I ever could have imagined. Mr. St.Louis is a very cerebral long term planner, yet he was very tenacious when he had to be, and knows how to think outside of the box. I’m a mom with a daughter that is nearly a teen-ager and had no experience with the family law courts or the way the system works. Mr. St.Louis explained it every step of the way. I had all sorts of nasty and false accusations toward me, and Mr. St.Louis knew how to disarm the untruths and lies. He was very thorough and thoughtful and knows how to deal with challenges. I make this well earned referral for my former attorney, Glen St.Louis and his law firm in my divorce. They obtained for me 50% time with my son and daughter. The fact that I do not have to pay child support is also a plus because I do financially provide for my kids, but the BIG thing for me is that I get to be a highly involved father with my children; something I was unsure of two years ago. Brooks is a wonderful attorney and I highly recommend giving him a call if you are in need of a attorney. His assistant Madi stays on top of things and always responds within 30 minutes or so. After my license was revoked due to unpaid fines, I got a few Driving While Licence Revoked charges. Brooks not only helped me get my license back but he was able to have all of the charges dismissed.
