I consulted with numerous lawyers concerning a scenario that was ongoing. I hired Bruce Mason after reading about his selection to Super Lawyers for several consecutive years, and meeting with him. My situation compares to being lost in the jungle only to find a lion who becomes my aegis. I no longer suffered from noctambulation or constant worry because Bruce Mason was superb. He is breviloquent and eloquent simultaneously and has substantive work ethic and integrity. He is also well respected by his peers, and I suspect his intellect far surpasses that of most lawyers. If you have something going on that is incredibly important to you, I suggest hiring him. He can handle difficult cases with ease. He certainly left me in a better place after winning my case, and the only thing I would change about him is not having been in the situation I was in to begin with to need someone like him. I wish the world had more people like him in it.

Last year, my son was charged with four offenses including DUI, Mr. Mason was recommended by a colleague who works in Wilmington and had experienced a similar issue. In our initial consultation, Mr. Mason engaged immediately, listened carefully, and made solid recommendations for moving forward. We experienced many twists and turns during the case, including pleadings during the pandemic. Mr. Mason's knowledge of NC statutes as well as his effective navigation of the New Hanover County court system gave us great confidence in his services. I had a traffic case that would be settled in a straightforward manner in other states. In Virginia, this meant having to go to court and litigating. As an out-of-state defendant with my own life to worry about, David managed the case with an appropriate level of concern. He wasn't alarmist like some of the other attorney's I interviewed, but helped give a realistic picture about what a plea-bargain normally requires. He wasn't trying to make the case easy for him through my heavy-lifting, it seemed. He was knowledgeable about how cases normally went and communicated briefly but effectively: * what I had to do to meet my goals * the type of information that he wanted from me * the current status of the court case. Additionally, I wanted to seek a continuance in order to complete community service hours. David secured the continuance in a timely manner and let me know when my case was continued once more, presumably at the prosecutor's request. I really appreciated that David was quick and to the point in getting what I wanted out of the case, without requiring a lot of heavy lifting from me.

My daughter received a traffic ticket and being from Chicago who do we turn to for help and guidance. We received a number of letters from local law firms but Farmer &Morris Law stuck out to us. Gabrielle and Alexis worked with us through the very difficult issues because of the Pandemic. They suggested Megan take an in person driving class, but we couldn’t find any locally in Illinois because of the lockdown. On top of that Megan then needed to go to Florida for 4 months. How to prepare a case the court would accept? Well they worked overtime to find a Florida class that was acceptable and communicated with us regularly. The outcome was positive and we are appreciative for their help and guidance.

I found Mr. Thoman online when dealing with my ex in VA who sought a DVPO against me. I am out of state, and had no local recommendations for lawyers. Scary situation, but I took a chance on Mr. Thoman, and I don't regret it. He was candid and honest from day 1. He nipped the nonsense right away - no DVPO. This is one competent attorney, and I would recommend to him to anyone. He is a no nonsense guy, and this is his firm so he doesn't nickel and dime. Worth Every Penny! I highly recommend this attorney!!

Unfortunately, almost as soon as he turned 18, our son made some poor choices & found himself in very, very serious trouble as an adult. With absolutely no idea of who to call, we blindly googled attorneys in our area & happened upon Brian Thoman. we read his bio & the reviews he had online. We were impressed that he had prior prosecutor work under his belt as the charges pending against our son were criminal. After calling a couple of other attorneys we knew from their t.v. ads, we felt Brian was definitely the best fit for our son’s situation. Brian not only had knowledge of the law, but compassion. He explained everything to us thoroughly & never gave us any false sense of hope. He was very clear about what we could expect, but he worked tirelessly until the very end to ensure a positive outcome for our family. Our son wisely followed Brian's advice to the "t" & the very serious felony charges were dropped. I have no doubt that if we hadn't hired Brian, our son would be sitting in jail right now—possibly for several years. Brian had a very good rapport with the prosecution attorneys & it was clear in viewing their interactions in court that they had respect for him & took him seriously. He also took the time to meet with the detective (usually a witness for the prosecution) on our son’s behalf & Brian was also able to secure a favorable review of our son from the detective to present to the prosecutor & Judge in our son’s defense. Mr. Brian Thoman is phenomenal! It took me some time to find time to write this review, but I was determined to find time. A few months ago, my husband was charged with a petty larceny from Walmart. This is something completely out of my husband's character, but without going into personal details, he was going through a very difficult time and Mr. Thoman helped us with this. We scheduled a visit with him and he was very down to earth , compassionate and understanding of the situation that had occured. He took his time and we felt rushed at no time. He recommended my husband to take a Theft Class and do some community service prior to court, which he did. He went out of his way to contact the security person at Walmart and work out a deal with him and we did not even have to appear before the judge. We will definately use Mr. Thoman again if we ever have an instance we need him for any legal issue. He is a perfect combination of what we wish we could find in any attorney, smart, savvy, well spoken, yet down to earth, compassionate and understanding. I was charged with a show cause for breaking a peace bond. I honestly had no idea what I had done to break the complainant's peace since I purposely had nothing to do with her and I had moved over 100 days after she made the complaint. Jason took my case and worked diligently to discover the reason. He found that the reason was unjustified. In court, Jason discredited the complainant and found that everything she said was untrue and the case was dismissed. Jason was very understanding of my mental state as I dealt with this trying time. He was compassionate and he and his team reassured me often that I had nothing to worry about. He definitely proved in court that justice and honesty always wins. I highly recommend Jason Miyares for any legal advise or representation you need.

I was charged with 2 felonies, malicious wounding and attempted robbery. All because I made the wrong person mad at me. If convicted, I was facing up to 30 years in prison. Because the police never contact me to hear my side of the story, I woke up one morning to 2 felony warrants. The prosecutor offered a horrible plea deal, which would have resulted in me going to prison and pleading guilty to 2 charges. If it wasn't for Farheena's confidence and professionalism, I would have taken the deal. We went to trial, and everything was working against us. The Judge denied every single one of our motions and agreed with each of the prosecution's objections. The prosecutor, during his opening, made statements that NONE of the 4 witnesses (including my accuser) ever substantiated. The prosecutor also informed our witness that he was an 'unindicted coconspirator', despite the fact (based on statements made by my accuser) that he was not involved at all. Despite everything the prosecutor pulled, Farheena remained professional. She had a game plan, stuck to it, and kept me informed along the way. During the opening, the prosecutor made statements that we had never heard before, statements that had never been made by my accuser or his witness. Farheena calmly and clearly rebutted each of the prosecution's accusations, and outlined to the jury what they were going to see during the trial. As mentioned, throughout the trial, the prosecutor objected to and the judge ruled against virtually all of our motions. Farheena knew the Judge's track record and was not surprised or rattled when our motions were denied. She always had a plan. She was also well aware of the prosecutor's demeanor going into trial and could anticipate what he would and would not do. She had an incredible cross of both my accuser and his witness. She rattled the prosecution's witness during cross to the point the judge needed to excuse the jury, and threatened to put the witness in handcuffs if she didn't behave. For the jury to see this witness absolutely implode under Farheena's questioning, I believe was a key turning point in the trial. During closing, the prosecutor returned to his 'practices', making statements that had not been substantiated and tying together evidence in a light that favored my accuser. He urged the jury to find me guilty, and made a compelling argument for them to do so. Farheena's closing was clear and concise. She remembered minute details from the day before, reiterating both mine and my accuser's statements to ensure the jury understood how each piece of physical evidence, external factors, and testimony in the case fit together. She connected the dots from her opening, through the trial, and tied everything together. She painted a clear picture of what really happened that night. I firmly believe that it was her closing that lead to the jury's ultimate decision of not guilty on both charges. I would recommend Farheena to everyone. She is the reason I have my life back. I wholeheartedly believe, if it wasn't for her, I would be rotting in a cell and my life would be over. Because this trial was held with Covid protocols in place, anyone who wanted to watch the trial needed to do so from a separate room. My accuser, his friends, and 4-5 interns from the prosecutor's office were in that room at all times. My gf and friends told me after trial that during openings+testimony my accuser and the interns were laughing, joking, and were confident the prosecution would win. After Farheena's closing arguments, everyone in the room was silent.

I was arrested for DWI with a .16 BAC in Henrico, Va. Bob did a great job representing me and keeping me notified with progress. When the day in court finally arrived, Bob Battle negotiated with the prosecutor and arresting officer. He was able to have my DWI charge reduced to Reckless Driving. I can’t tell you how much that helped me in my personal life and my career. I’m very thankful I was referred to Bob Battle. I could have picked several cheaper lawyers but, I don’t think they would have fought for me like Bob Battle.

I hired Mr. Battle for a DUI case. New to Virginia I was unfamiliar with laws and processes. Mr. Battle met with me, reviewed my case and outlined the law and my rights in terms that I could understand. He was always available, via email, text or phone. Based on the law I should have received some sort of jail time, however due to Mr. Battle’s experience, I did not receive any jail time and my blood alcohol level was thrown out of court. Could not have asked for a better outcome.

Mr. Baity was very easy to talk with & kept me from spending more money than i had to. He is handling 2 cases for me and has had 1st dismissed without myself ever having to miss work to report to the courthouse. Mr. McGrath was patient and detailed in explaining what the charge was. He advised me on what to do to mitigate the seriousness of the case before the court date. I did not have to speak in court because Mr. McGrath handled that brilliantly. The judge reduced the charge from reckless driving, a class one misdemeanor to improper driving a traffic infraction which is not a criminal offense.

First and foremost, my wife and I are extremely appreciative of the Roy Law Group. They are now family to us and we could not have dealt with the insurance company alone. The people that work for Roy Law Group took us on and walked us through every step of the long process. I wish we could recommend them higher than this review. Our story of "why" we recommend Roy Law Group. My wife suffers from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) as a result of a horrific automobile accident and epilepsy. At first, her short term employment disability kicked in without any issues. We noticed a change in the disability insurance as my wife's treatments continued past the six month mark. We were told by the insurance company she was not going to receive long-term disability. The insurance company lied stating long-term disability was not selected for her at time of employment. Being she has TBI it was very difficult for her to understand what was happening. I had to do the work to find her original employment signing paperwork showing she had signed up, checked the box, and paid for this service. This was the first time we realized the insurance company was not here to "help" my wife. During this stage we received many complicated paperwork assignments from the insurance company and threats she was going to be dropped from coverage. You could feel the insurance company just wanted us to give up so they could save money. They do not care about your actual wellbeing. We did not give up like they wanted us to do. Months prior to the one year mark the threats became real as the insurance company randomly sent my wife a denial of coverage letter. They gave a ridiculous reason stating they felt she was fine now and was dropping her from long-term coverage again. Mind you, she had only been on long-term disability for a few months. Even though she was still receiving medical services and had multiple doctors stating the opposite. We did not accept the insurance games anymore and looked for help. Thankfully we talked with the Row Law Group. They are amazing people from the start and tell you up front what they will do. No false promises, as they walk you through realistically if they were able or not able to help and why. Luckily for us they saw what the insurance company was doing and had dealt with this same company many times. I love the fact they listen to your situation and you know they are in the fight with you. I have never seen complete strangers be an advocate for the truth and justice like the Row Law Group is. Over the process I could not imagine anyone else doing such an amazing tailored job to our situation as them. We have now had my wife's long term disabilities reinstated and now moving forward the insurance company has to still deal with our protectors the Row Law Group. If you are going through the ringer and fighting with an insurance company over short/long-term disability just stop the stress and fight alone. Don't delay like we did just CALL Row Law Group now. I wish we had called them earlier and my wife would not have had to cry or worry as much during the earliest stages of the fight. Our family is so grateful to the Row Law Group.

Joseph King was court appointed to represent my son on a drug related charge. Throughout the entire case, Mr. King kept both me and my son apprised of each step of the process. He was able to secure my son's trust in authority and gain insight into what brought my son to this stage in his life. There were several occasions when Mr. King took time out of his busy schedule to sit down with my son and really listen and get to know him personally. I felt as though he served more as a mentor than as a lawyer. My son spoke very highly of Mr. King every time they met to discuss the case. My son listened to his suggestions and put them into action. I truly believe that children, no matter the age, crave positive attention and react accordingly. Had an unfortunate need to have an attorney. I initially went to an attorney that helped me out in the past. He refused to take this case and instead tried to turf me to a colleague of his who I researched and found that they had done something illegal and had been admonished in the past. PLUS, they wanted 5K to represent me. I received Mrs. Graham-Williams' advertisement in the mail. I researched her and other attorneys and used my gut feeling and decided to go with her. Am I glad I did! I called her and gave her the particulars of my case. She matter-of-factly told me that she thought she could get the issue resolved for me. She also quoted me a price that was substantially less than what was quoted by the other firm. Following her specific instructions, I was able to have my case handled expertly. I was facing a felony charge and potential jail time. Instead, the charge was downgraded to disorderly conduct. No jail time. I could not have asked for a better outcome! If you hire her, I suspect you will NOT be disappointed. She makes you feel comfortable, and she has a confident air about her. She's not cocky, nor full of herself. I was appointed Michael La Fratta as my attorney. From the beginning I was very impressed with his service and knew I was in good hands. He always made sure I knew the status of my case and encouraged me to continue doing well in my recovery. I was facing 3 felonies (2 possession charges and 1 possession with a gun). I was so scared of what would happen to me if those charges turned to convictions. But Michael didn't back down. He wanted my case to have as little impact on my life as possible. He was so proud of my progress he kept working with the prosecutor until he got what we wanted. Thanks to Michael La Fratta all 3 felony charges were null-processed (dismissed). I had mr. la fratta as my court appointed lawyer last year for a criminal case and he was very good at his job I had nine charges against me and got them down to four and less jail time most recently he advised me to file a motion to modify my sentence and was kind enough to represent me I would highly recommend him he also stayed in contact with with me as well

James Davis II went above and beyond in taking care of our case. He got the case dismissed before the trial began - and it was amazing watching him in action throughout the entire experience. First class all the way! There was never the feeling that we didn't know what was going on, and there was never any nervousness about what was going to happen next or if he would be there at the right place or the right time. Hiring John Painter is one of the best decisions I have ever made, truly worth every penny. He is not only incredibly smart, but very quick on his feet, exceptionally creative, but the value of his experience becomes clear once you see him in a courtroom - this man has seen it all and I can't say how important that is in these cases. Mr. Painter is a kind gentleman when you meet him, but don't let that fool you - he is a true bulldog and will put every ounce of sweat and effort into fighting for you. Mr. Painter left no stone unturned - challenging every point, making strong and legitimate objections (and repeating those as they came up again), pinning down witnesses and ultimately presenting some very novel legal arguments I don't think other lawyers would have tried or thought of. As I waited for my case to be called on trial day, I saw several attorneys defend their clients with mediocre arguments or otherwise simply accept guilty pleas, every single one of them being found guilty. Statistically for NC, that is what I would expect and I was preparing myself for the same. Mr. Painter had mentioned a novel legal argument when we first met, and I wasn't sure it would work but I also didn't expect an attorney to try something besides settling and hoping for the best sentencing outcome, as I believed my case was fairly clear cut. I blew way over both on scene and at the station, it wasn't particularly close. I am sure I would not have had the same outcome with another lawyer - not guilty. Mr. Painter follows every witness closely, taking notes that he uses to create a timeline that he somehow manages to refer back to with an uncanny ability to process all of that in his head in real time. Mr. Painter put on a truly remarkable performance, challenging every point made by the state, repeated objections that arose and came up again (one of which the state seemed to even acknowledge had put their case in a bit of a bind, and it certainly wasn't an obvious one I would have realized - and this wasn't the first time Mr. Painter had brought it up), and not leaving anything on the table for the judge to consider in favor of conviction without challenging its merit. Mr. Painter handled my case for three years, and kept me from making court appearances until the time was right. I was ultimately found not guilty, 100% due to this man and I feel (as I have seen many others on here mention) as though I owe him more than the legal fees I paid (which were probably a bit higher than some other attorneys at the time, but worth every penny and looking back I would have paid more). What an incredible relief when I had all but accepted that I was likely to be convicted, potentially having to wait several years before the asterisk on my record was removed (likely after the damage was already done). Do yourself a favor and go talk to Mr. Painter in order to put yourself in the best hands possible; you won't find his level of skill in another attorney and the consequences are too great not to.

I have used John Painter twice on two family related criminal cases almost 20 years apart. Both times I got exactly what I wanted. John listened to my situation and educated me on what my options were, John Painter billed me a very reasonable rate and kept me informed though out the process. Both times the cases were dismissed. Thats exactly what John said would happen. John has been a local criminal defense attorney for over 40 years. He not only knows everyone in the deck of cards he can pretty much predict what their going to do. He's been right every time. After receiving a direct mail solicitation, I called and spoke to Attorney Patrick Alan Hall. Like many other reviewers' experiences, he picked up the phone when I called. He explained the process of traffic court and advised me on my specific situation saying it could be handled by me without an attorney. I attended court myself and the outcome was what he had predicted. Making that 5-minute phone call was invaluable in preparing for court and that appearance saved me quite a bit of money. I am leaving this review as a thanks to Attorney Hall for talking me through my situation and options and not soliciting me. First and foremost, my wife and I are extremely appreciative of the Roy Law Group. They are now family to us and we could not have dealt with the insurance company alone. The people that work for Roy Law Group took us on and walked us through every step of the long process. I wish we could recommend them higher than this review. Our story of "why" we recommend Roy Law Group. My wife suffers from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) as a result of a horrific automobile accident and epilepsy. At first, her short term employment disability kicked in without any issues. We noticed a change in the disability insurance as my wife's treatments continued past the six month mark. We were told by the insurance company she was not going to receive long-term disability. The insurance company lied stating long-term disability was not selected for her at time of employment. Being she has TBI it was very difficult for her to understand what was happening. I had to do the work to find her original employment signing paperwork showing she had signed up, checked the box, and paid for this service. This was the first time we realized the insurance company was not here to "help" my wife. During this stage we received many complicated paperwork assignments from the insurance company and threats she was going to be dropped from coverage. You could feel the insurance company just wanted us to give up so they could save money. They do not care about your actual wellbeing. We did not give up like they wanted us to do. Months prior to the one year mark the threats became real as the insurance company randomly sent my wife a denial of coverage letter. They gave a ridiculous reason stating they felt she was fine now and was dropping her from long-term coverage again. Mind you, she had only been on long-term disability for a few months. Even though she was still receiving medical services and had multiple doctors stating the opposite. We did not accept the insurance games anymore and looked for help. Thankfully we talked with the Row Law Group. They are amazing people from the start and tell you up front what they will do. No false promises, as they walk you through realistically if they were able or not able to help and why. Luckily for us they saw what the insurance company was doing and had dealt with this same company many times. I love the fact they listen to your situation and you know they are in the fight with you. I have never seen complete strangers be an advocate for the truth and justice like the Row Law Group is. Over the process I could not imagine anyone else doing such an amazing tailored job to our situation as them. We have now had my wife's long term disabilities reinstated and now moving forward the insurance company has to still deal with our protectors the Row Law Group. If you are going through the ringer and fighting with an insurance company over short/long-term disability just stop the stress and fight alone. Don't delay like we did just CALL Row Law Group now. I wish we had called them earlier and my wife would not have had to cry or worry as much during the earliest stages of the fight. Our family is so grateful to the Row Law Group.

I couldn't have hired a better attorney. I was in a very toxic and abusive marriage. Stuart helped me navigate out of it smoothly even though emotions for myself and my children were very high. Stuart came highly recommended by a close family member. I had been dealing with a very unstable ex husband who had been harrassing my family and I for several years.
