Ray Raya represented me in early Spring of 2024. I was absolutely petrified, and sick to my stomach for months looking for a reputable lawyer. I received his contact information by word of mouth from a dear friend of mine. The day of court, I came in early but, he came in earlier. He shook my trembling hand, said it’s ok. I got it to a $100 dollar fine plus court costs. With my face bright red from fear and the lump in the back of my throat… I cleared my throat and managed to stumble out the words… am I going to lose my license?!! Tears welled up in my eyes, He said no you’re ok!! His smooth confidence just took so much anxiety away. I was petrified I’d lose my license and of course, the booming thoughts I obsessed about… how am I going to get to work?Am I going to lose my job and my home, if I can’t get to work?!!! Debbie provided excellent representation from beginning to end in the defense against charges of manufacturing and delivery of methamphetamine, that I received in Canton, MI, The charges are felonies that carry a mandatory 10-20 year prison sentence. Debbie was a super star in challenging if there was probable cause to pull me over and nearly got the charges dismissed before the case left Canton District Court for the 3rd Circuit Court of Wayne County. Debbie was able to get the felony charge of manufacturing and delivery dismissed and replaced with a misdemeanor charge of use of methamphetamine by using her expertise and knowledge of criminal law, that she has developed over her years of practice. I highly recommend the retention of Debbie Schlussel to represent you in the defense of any criminal charges! She will grind and out work the prosecution if necessary! I was traveling thru the state as a truck driver with a pair of brass knuckles I purchased in another state and was apprehended with them not realizing they are a felony in Michigan. My guy Mike got it figured out ahead of time and made the case disappear. Amazing job would definitely hire him again but hopefully never will need to. I was facing a Felony OWI 3rd in Plymouth District Court. Declined breathalyzer, high BAC, and wasn't a resident of Wayne County where the arrest took place...alot of unfavorable factors.
My world was turned upside down and was convinced my career, savings, and house were all gone in that order.
Mike didn't sugarcoat my situation nor did he promise what the results would be. However, he did say he would do his part if I did my part with detailed instructions he provided.
The results in my case on both the Criminal Court and Secretary of State side were nothing short of AMAZING.
Felony conviction got pleaded down to misdemeanor, successfully transferred to Sobriety Court close to where I live, no jail time, and limited driver license sanctions.
Mike is also a people person who can tell truly cares about his clients and community beyond being smart, charismatic, and sophisticated in Michigan DUI law.
My alcoholism is currently in full remission and I'm making a negative into a positive despite the terrible choice that I made that put myself and others in danger. I'm thankful that Mike assisted in my improvement without having to lose everything.
His support staff is great and friendly too.
Anybody who's currently considering DUI Attorney's, hire Mike and follow his simple instructions. I don't care what other Attorney's are charging or promising, Mike is the best. You won't regret hiring him.

I consulted Mr. Christie for legal advice because the attorney I had on retainer was not capable of handling my complicated cases and I had reached out to a couple of other attorneys who declined to take my case due to the complex nature. Ryan Ramsayer helped me get my misdemeanor DUI expunged after a recent law change in the state of Michigan. I was living a nightmare for almost four years. I sold my home and the buyers' attorney fell for a scam e-mail, wiring my mortgage payoff to a fraudulent account at my servicing bank. All of the funds were completely withdrawn from the fraudulent account in a few days. I had no idea that any of this happened until the bank deducted a mortgage payment from my account weeks later. After my real estate attorney discovered what happened, the bank was notified of the fraud and told me not to worry, and that they would freeze the account until the situation was rectified. The buyers' attorney refused to take any responsibility, claimed to be a victim, and never notified the buyers that their home was subject to a lien from an unsettled mortgage. The local police and the FBI were notified and investigated and found that the scammers succeeded in getting the funds overseas. Everyone involved in the transaction denied responsibility and then the bank denied saying that they would freeze the account and referred me to collections, destroying my credit and putting my security clearance and livelihood at risk. I hired Tim and PLG to represent me in this matter, and when the bank refused to even discuss what had happed, he filed a civil suit on my behalf. Tim and PLG were relentless in fighting for me and helping me navigate through dealing with my employer as my clearance was in jeopardy. Were it not for Tim, I would have lost my clearance and my job. Unfortunately, there is little recourse for victims of this type of fraud and it is impossible to fight major banks, insurance companies, and attorneys without having the best on your side. I was lucky to have Tim and PLG on my side and I received a favorable outcome. Tim is passionate about what he does, seeking justice for his clients, fighting for "the little guy"! Vicki and Barb were amazing throughout my divorce. Vicki will not waste your time/money with pointless meetings or calls, but she will show up for court prepared and organized. She made my spouse's attorney look incompetent and unprepared when she walked in with a binder for testimony with color-coded tabs for each section that we covered. Vicki was able to find a case law that got my foot in the door in a court system that otherwise would have refused to hear my case and continued to let my financially dominant ex continue to exert power and control through financial manipulation. I would like to personally extend my gratitude to Shawn Brown due to how effective and efficient he was. Upon meeting him, I respected the fact that he listened to me and my case, paying attention to the details I provided him.

I was pulled over in Portage WI late at night from a long drive to SD to drop off my step son. Weary from the road, but not wavering, a cop pulled me over for not having a front plate on my '95 collector. Watch out. These guys aren't looking to protect, they are on the attack with the sole purpose of getting tickets, not busting drunk drivers. Anyway, I had one beer at a rest stop just prior. Got field sobriety, passed it well. Got blow test, blew at .01, yea .01 not .1. They arrested me anyway. I refused the blood test but was taking in and forced it out of me anyway. I was facing two counts, OWI and for refusing blood test. Both carry about the same penalty! If charged, my next 5 years would have carried an extra $300 a month in high risk insurance and the next year I would not have been able to take my family on any visits with others or vacations. I called 3 other attorneys and none of them had every gotten someone off from refusing a blood test. Patrick was the fourth and he had experience doing it! It was all dropped to "inattentive driving" and a $250 fine. Well I guess you gotta throw the dogs a bone. Praise God for Patrick for protecting me and my family!
