As a previous client of Amy Ginsburg I could not say enough about my experience. At first I was so nervous about beginning a claim as anyone would be since it is a legal matter. After having the misfortune of being involved in more than 3 unrelated lawsuits in the last 2 years, I retained Mr. Isherwood to handle my cases.
Mr. Isherwood is an outstanding multifaceted attorney with the ability to quickly understand complex cases already in progress and provide excellent clarity in communicating with his client.
This is not the first time I have had to retain an attorney, but it certainly is the first time I feel I retained an upstanding, highly skilled, responsive, and highly experienced attorney with excellent knowledge of relevant statutes and the ability to quickly respond and stand up to big-money law firms. Scott's ability really helped put my mind at ease.
I won the first 2 cases. As for the third case, it was initially mishandled by another lawyer who was ultimately removed from my case. I again contacted Mr. Isherwood to help understand and clean up the giant mess left behind by the former incompetent attorney as well as help avert a complete catastrophe in my life brought on by a crooked mortgage servicer.
In the courtroom I was amazed by Mr. Isherwood's lightning fast ability recall facts and quickly object to the opposing party. Also, in court he often recalled the facts about my case faster than I did and was able to use these facts to ultimately win my case against a larger lavishly-funded law firm.
They say "Litigation is not a poor-man's sport", fotunately Mr. Isherwood has continually demonstrated a knack for averting long, drawn out and potentially expensive litigation and getting straight to the point.
I have so far used Mr. Isherwood against a fraudulent "restraining order request" which he won, a fraudulent claim for defamation, in which I also prevailed, as well as litigation against a bad mortgage servicer for which he has continued to provide extremely valuable and helpful services that have helped avert multiple catastrophes instigated by much larger large firms and people with deep pockets.
Mr. Isherwood has also been invaluable for general legal advice.

I was awarded legal fees after an investment LLC filed a frivolous lien on my property. The owner of the LLC was upset by this ruling and refused to pay, counting on the fact that I had spent my limited resources fighting him in the aforementioned court battle. It wasn’t a large sum that was owed to me, at least for this company, under $10,000, but it was enough to make a difference in the life of a single mom, which I am. Our case with a giant company was quite unique and most lawyers did not have confidence to take our case. In all truth, I bumped into dialogue with Counselor Houslanger completely by accident, under the erroneous impression that his firm was the latest to inherit an old judgment, presumed to be still in effect and in force, naming my mother as the Defendant, while in truth and in fact he was NOT the Counsel of Record. Nevertheless, he gave me an audience, he asked me for the Index #, he had the means and the desire to take some initiative in researching some basics about this old story, and as fate would have it, my mother's old judgment had been ordered to be vacated some five years earlier in a certain class-action matter. Counselor Houslanger then went out of his way to offer some basic instruction for the proper Pro Se steps to remedy the judgment in the Court of the first instance, which I imagine would have worked nicely if the Court staff at my mother's venue understood the procedure as well as he himself does. Bureaucrats seldom see beyond the scope of their own responsibilities, however. This attorney possesses a keen insight to the needs and concerns of ALL with whom he speaks, whether he's getting paid to listen and respond or not. And as long as he doesn't have any equity or interest in the other side of the case or docket, I'll call Todd Eric Houslanger before I call anyone, whether the matter to be addressed is a traffic summons, a criminal arrest, a debtor judgment, a divorce proceeding, a CBP Global Entry Reconsideration Hearing, a charge under the Espionage Act of 1917, or even a FISA Court matter. Regardless whether he'd be equipped and/or inclined to represent and/or to assist in the representation, this is clearly a man whose interactions are ALWAYS a matter of consequence. My only regret is that I encountered this man some seven years after my brother was crushed to death by a subway train. If there weren't so many liens pending in the current cause of action already, I'd fire all current counsel yesterday, and hire Todd Eric Houslanger today, without even checking his record of decisions in such matters. He knows the law; he knows procedure; and most importantly: he knows to treat EVERYONE well, and to speak to EVERYONE with respect, DESPITE the fact the ones with whom he speaks DO NOT have a title or even a degree. THIS one's an ATTORNEY people. NOT a fast-talking, used-car salesman with a license to practice law. NOT some JD who passed the Bar, and believes his license GIVES him license to be ill-mannered. I'm fully mindful that his fortes are in prosecuting debt collection, and in defending traffic-related and criminal matters. But once every great while, a man comes along who is so brilliant, so personable, and so well-mannered, that one truly cannot tell what is beyond the abilities of Todd Eric Houslanger's legal acumen, unless and until one discusses the matter WITH him, and dares to ask if he can help. Some 40 years ago I dared to debate William Rehnquist when I was a high school senior. Anyone familiar with that name should understand what I mean when I say that Counselor Houslanger is a genuine attorney, and a brilliant, well-mannered, and thoughtful gentleman.

I’m grateful for all the time and effort Nathan put into his work on my dad’s estate, and I’m very satisfied with the results of his work. Through it all, Nathan was there for my dad and then for me - preparing my dad’s estate plan; making sure my dad’s estate plan was signed the right way; starting probate after my dad died; paying all my dad’s debts; taking care of all my dad’s property; paying all my dad’s taxes; and making sure every little thing was done right and was done well. Before my dad died, I had no experience with and no knowledge of any of these things, but I always felt like I was in good hands with Nathan. I called Nathan this past week about possibly representing my nephew in a case in Nebraska (I live out-of-state so don't know the area). Although it was late on a Friday afternoon, he listened patiently, answered questions, and seemed genuinely concerned. He even explained some parts of the law that I had been unaware of. Ultimately, he explained to me that he is not a criminal defense attorney and that it would be doing my nephew a disservice to take his case, however, he gave me the names of a couple of attorneys who could probably help us. James resolved an odd case for me in which the address on my title was switched with my neighbor over 15 years ago, and despite the neighbors property being sold twice since then it was never caught. I live remotely and had never met James, I was fortunate to find him on the internet and am very glad I ended up working with him. I tried to resolve this myself and got nowhere so I reached out to James. First he gave me advice on how to resolve it myself and offered to help if I wasn't successful. After failing to resolve it I went back to James and he agreed to help. He was able to find the original title company even though I had lost the documentation and pursued a solution through them. Simultaneously he pursued an alternative solution with the owner of the other property. Timing was important because the property next door was set for foreclosure with my physical property listed as the legal address on the title. James kept me up to speed on all aspects of his efforts. He was courteous and professional in resolving the issue, and ultimately when the situation demanded it, aggressive enough to gain cooperation to resolve the problem. James resolved the problem, clearing my property from complications with the foreclosure, correcting the information with the county and solving the problem. He did all of this remotely as I no longer live in the area and never met face to face. I found James to be professional, competent, and fair. I was very glad he was representing me and was very satisfied with his work and the outcome. While it is never inexpensive when you need legal advice, I felt his fees were fair and that I got a very good deal for the work and results. I would rely on James for future real estate work without hesitation and would recommend him to friends and colleagues. Working with James was a very positive experience.
