My husband and I contacted Yale Hauptman when it became apparent that my mom would need to be approved for Medicaid in order to continue her care in the residence where she has been successful. After a consultation with Yale, we hired him. Yale and everyone in his office were always knowledgeable, professional, and maintained excellent communication with us. That last part was very important, as the law office has gone through the Medicaid process many times, but it was our first time doing this, so we needed them to continually provide guidance and reassurance that everything was proceeding as needed—and they never lost sight of that. Our experience was extremely positive, and my mom has been approved for Medicaid.

Hauptman and Hauptman is an excellent elder care law firm. My family and I have worked with both Laurie and Yale for over five years. We recently worked closely with Yale as he handled the very complicated Medicaid application process for us. He is very knowledgeable as well as answered our many questions. We were successful in obtaining Medicaid for our elderly Uncle who will now be able to continue to live in his current Assisted Living Facility. Couldn't have done it without him and his team.

When my husband had a catastrophic accident and needed round the clock long term care I was shocked when told the cost which could have easily bankrupted my family. There was no way we could afford it and be able to support the needs of our young family. Talking to different people led to conflicting information. I couldn’t figure out what to do until I found Yale and his staff. Yale was able to answer all my questions, help me make the right choices for my husband and our family and navigate thru the maze of rules and regulations to get Medicaid benefits my husband. This has allowed me to preserve most of our savings which will help support myself and my children in the coming years while at the same time insuring that my husband is well cared for.
I could not have done it without Yale and Hauptman & Hauptman and would recommend their firm to anyone whose family needs guidance thru the long term care system.

Ms. Clark and her team were fantastic. She has such an excellent background before moving into elder care law and it is very helpful. She did a very informative consult over the phone and explained many factors of the process and what was needed (or not needed) in my particular situation. I was told how the how the process would go and I had copies of documents within 2 weeks. I had time to review them and ask as many questions in detail as I wished. Then, I went in to sign final documents once all details were finalized. Cindy and Tim were so informative, prompt, kind and professional. Our family has had several occasions to use the services of David Kirch and Emily Bowman. Mr. Kirch created wills for our blended family that solved the somewhat complicated issues of “yours, mine and ours.” Ms. Bowman updated my late mother’s will. When my mother died (at 102) she was confident that her estate would be handled as she wished. Ms. Bowman handled all details, especially things with the court system that could have been time consuming and confusing. We highly recommend this law firm for wills, trusts and estate planning.

He communicates timely and effectively. Throughout the process, it did not take more than an hour for Mr. Gruchawka to respond to my inquiries with either a straightforward answer or an "I'm researching now" email. I also had an easy time reaching him on the phone to discuss more complex strategies. I spoke to a social worker in regards to the stability of their home life when they aren't with me. Being concerned about my daughter, and the inconsistency of her lifestyle which concerned me quite a bit whenever she would take the kids or present a different new boyfriend/place to stay.. (for the most part I have raised them/they lived w/me) I began to get concerned about how they were being affected by her irresponsibility as a parent. Later to find out that they were not attending school, and my oldest grandson taking on the babysitter role and would get in trouble for his little brother in which he became a totally different kid (quite angry about his whole environmen) he was told to lie to me if I asked him questions. My grandson started to call me when his mom would sleep/ or wasn't home and he would tell me things. I convinced my daughter to let me take them to live with me during the week so I can enroll them back in school and fix the inconsistency again time passed and they were safe with me; She started telling me things when she didn't get her way, trying to manipulate saying she was taking the kids from me (*if I talked to her about lying, and being irresponsible etc...) I got to the point that I needed to help these kids before she really screwed them upore and swore to look; nyo things and if she ever got into trouble shoplifting etc... I would use it to my advantage. The social worker referred me to Legal services for children and I started to work on getting guardianship and soon enough she went to jail. They were great, they helped me so much with everything including emergency paperwrk for serving her in jail for restraining order etc .. they came to my home to talk to the kids and I. They made it smooth like butter explaining everything!!! So glad she recommended this place. Perfect for kids who eed help!!!

Dealing with the death of a loved one is hard, dealing with an untimely death that necessitates litigation is beyond comprehension when you're grieving, but it's sometimes the choice you need to make.
Our family had no experience with lawsuits and that's daunting. Kathryn, Karman and their entire team gently guided us through every step of the process. Everything was explained in a thorough but easy to understand way, making us feel cared for and confident in their expertise. All decisions were ours to make; at no point did we feel pressured to do anything that made us uncomfortable.
We can't recommend Stebner, Gertler, Guadagni and Kawamoto highly enough, nor can we imagine where we would be if we had not been referred to them. In the end, their hard work led to what we felt was a just and fair settlement.

Following my husband's return from the hospital with a diagnosis of Lewy Body Dementia, I found myself in charge of our finances that he so aptly took care of for 42 years. A friend shared his experiences with CFEP with me and I called them the same day. Within six months, under the guidance of CFEP staff I was able to set up a trust insuring that what we had worked so hard for was protected for the rest of our lives and for our children. The staff at CFEP is always very professional and available to answer what might seems the very basic of questions. A friend recommended Frank to my husband and me for an IRS tax audit that was not going well and was previously being handled by our accountant. Frank was able to reduce our liability to 1/3 of the assessment and was successful in obtaining a waiver of the penalties. He reorganized our business and advised of the proper tax reporting going forward to avoid further audits and penalties. We subsequently retain him for a real estate purchase closing that was smooth sailing.

A week ago Friday I received a very difficult call from a cousin living in New York who informed me she had short time to live and had not had an opportunity to get her affairs in order. Her wish was to spend her remaining time in Korea and time was of the essence. The Friday before Thanksgiving weekend (the day after week connected) Cori went to her hospital bed and started the process of getting our POA and last will and testament in order. Less than a week later my cousin is boarding a plane accompanied by a doctor from travel doctors with her affairs in order for whatever may come. Cori represented a incredibly important piece of this formula and I couldn't be more grateful. Thank you so so much Cori for your compassionate and swift advocacy.

Roger will take the time to walk you through the process of an appeal to see if it's worth your time and resources. He and his network of former staff attorneys from the Court of Appeals and Supreme Court taught me that strict compliance with the rule of law is necessary or you will waste your time and resources. This means that the record must be cited accurately, facts must be taken from the record and you must comply with all the rules. Judges do not want to be overturned.
