His advise is practical, and unlike other lawyers, he coaches with the right advise, and ultimately lets you make the call, after you understand all the pros and the cons. During my experience with him I have had nothing but helpful, honest advice. He has been exceptional in setting realistic expectations about what will happen and how long it will take based on his extensive experience and his decades upon decades of practice . He is transparent as far as charges and has always given me options to lower costs and charges. He and his world-class team are there to help you. Especially worthy of mention is his stellar para-legal, Kate Blackstock.
I followed his advice and had a very favorable outcome. To be frank, a divorce is a difficult, painful, and at times ugly situation. It drags on for far too long and at the end, if you are lucky no one involved is thrilled at the finish. Divorces are always bitter and choosing a good lawyer and a good paralegal is extremely important for this process. Kate and Rick are highly recommended. Lots of reasons for that
- Rick has a lot of experience. He knows other lawyers as well as judges in town so you will know what to expect - good or bad.
- You may not realize right now but paralegals are super important in this process and again Kate and her experience is super helpful.
- My case was unique since before filing I had moved out of state. All discussions happened over phone and emails - no issues at all.
- Even though I was separating I wanted the process and division of property to be fair. Rick is ethical and no nonsense kind of lawyer and worked well in my case.

I hired Wolfgang -- and his paralegal Anthony -- for my divorce case. I had heard rave reviews from another friend who had hired him. The best thing I liked about Wolf was that he is practical. My ex and I were able to negotiate the settlement agreement ourselves, and Wolf supported that idea. "The more you two can work out together without the lawyers talking to each other, the better." I would talk to my ex, we'd come up with a proposal, and I'd run it past Wolf and Anthony. I felt this process decreased the tension and possible animosity between my ex and I.
Wolf knew what battles to fight and which ones to drop. I wanted to see if my ex could pay my property taxes, and Wolf said no. He said I should pay them myself. He was right. Our lawyers could have spent hours arguing over a tax bill. The legal fees would have been more than the tax bill, and in the end, I would likely have had to pay my taxes anyway.
Initially, one of my worries about getting divorced was the expense of a lawyer. I felt like Wolf was not trying to run up my bill, which I really appreciated.

I spent the better part of a year working with Wolfgang and his team (specific callout to his paralegal, Anthony) on my divorce. Despite a long and difficult journey, I always felt heard and taken care of.

During my divorce, I often felt that just about everything that could go wrong, did—everything, that is, except for the phenomenal legal representation that I received from Wolfgang Anderson and his paralegal Anthony Milliken. I thank my lucky stars that a friend referred me to this practice when I told her I was getting divorced. Wolfgang and Anthony’s complementary skills and expertise make them an incredibly effective team. My divorce ended up being ridiculously complicated and stressful, but no matter what crazy curveball my ex threw at us, Wolfgang and Anthony always had a plan. Wolfgang’s decades of expertise were invaluable, as he was able to find the perfect precedents for my situation in past case law—including cases that he himself was a part of. Renee helped us with a couple of custody cases and an adoption. Everyone in her office was easy to work with and very responsive.
Renee was referred to us by a number of friends and professionals. The only people I spoke to that did not like her were individuals that were on the opposing side of a case. Which is exactly what we needed. She is thorough, and having her on our side really made us feel much better about a difficult experience.
Our case was complex but Renee was able to sift through the details, lay out our options, and help us get going in the right direction, ending with our desired result of the adoption of our son.

Renee represented me during a rough time in my life while I was attempting to obtain a restraining order.
She took her time to get to know the details of my case prior to the court date and answered all of my questions. I never felt like I was rushed during our meetings or that I had to re-explain myself. She just "got it". Her staff was also helpful and organized with their paperwork/email communication.
As someone who has never gone to court for anything before, my anxiety about the entire process was high. However, when Renee met me at the courthouse, my anxiety diminished. With her assistance prior to court, I felt prepared. And, more importantly, she was fully present and ready to handle my case. Aditya helped me earlier during change of status from H4 to F1 and everything went fine.
I approached him again when my friend received RFE during OPT extension filling. With Adiya's help, We were able to send response within 2 days after we received RFE and got RFE cleared within 2 weeks.

I was in a divorce case evolving into a more complex divorce case over time as more n more came out that was happening in my marriage behind my back, even when I anticipted a kosher/easy divorce than I had foreseen when I filed.
I went to a well know atty that then began to put me on the defensive as his client, I had to prove to this 1st atty that I was not who my atty & ex, & ex’s atty was making me out to be. He seemed to be siding w my ex after a few months rather than giving me full support…it was “just take this, u already are getting enough and who cares that ur husband has had a girlfriend.”.
Obviously onto atty #2, this was a flat fee for service….bad idea, it became “forget this and that, let’s just get done and finalized” but I felt strongly on issues I personally had and wanted to address in my case and that need attention by my atty and representation to fight for me.
Both lawyers #1 & #2 were afraid of my ex’s lawyer and wanted to look “good” for her, who is/was the President of The Law/Bar Association of WI.
So I began to search for atty # 3, which can sometimes look poor in the eyes of some judges (& atty’s), but I needed 100% support for me and my kids, a strong atty and one that help focus on and address my issues I cared about….. that were almost pushed to the way side by my 1st two atty’s.
Plus, when calling around for my 3rd atty, I had to find one that was not afraid of my ex’s atty. Atty Philip Trampe’s team assured me he is the one to go w in Racine Co….he was originally referred to me by a Waukesha/Milwaukee co atty and swore that Trampe (represented Racine Co.) will side w me and also be open n honest enough to tell me what truly is fair during negotiations, and since it was a high emotion divorce, atty Trampe was able to me focused if I got off track or reeled me back in if my emotions flared up.
I Highly recommend professional atty Philip trampe and his team!

We had a consult with Tonilynn 2 years ago and absolutely LOVED her..We laughed, had things in common, and she understood our situation and was ready to help. THEN COVID CAME. Courts were at a stand-still and we didn't retain her, thinking we could just pick up now. We were referred to Chelsea once it was clear our case would be going to court and we could not afford our previous attorney. Immediately after our first consultation, we felt empowered and relieved. Chelsea was always prepared, and was also very patient with us and addressed every concern we ever had. Several months ago I was slammed with a hefty speeding ticket after attempting to pass an unsafe driver on the highway. I was ordered to pay $250 and had a 6 point mark on my license, which would likely lead to even greater losses due to my insurance. Amy was a truly amazing help throughout the whole process; not only did she handle the entirety of the court processions and remove that stressor, she also managed to negotiate a total negation of the ticket as long as I took a short drivers safety class for a considerably cheaper $70 fee. Without her, I would’ve been at a complete loss, and I can’t thank her for her services enough!!

15 months from start to finish. That’s what it took for my case. At first glance I don’t believe any attorney, if given the chance to look at my case would of thought it’d become an issue.
I hired Amy Menzel through a recommendation of word of mouth. After the initial consultation. She gave me a outlook of possibilities. All of which ultimately would be determined by how I handled myself in this domestic case.
I should add that my case began in December of 2019. Due to COVID, the pace of or lack there of almost seemed to come to a stop. The hearings were stretched out. All of a sudden everything was done over the phone or web conference. This in my opinion created a handy cap of sorts due to the D.A’s lack of familiarity with my case. It seemed as if they were going over the same issues during every new hearing. The positive information I was attempting to show them sort of got lost in the traffic jam of the court due to the pandemic.
With the amount of time Attorney Menzel dedicated to my case because of the aforementioned issues. I started to view this case as if it was almost for charity considering the extreme amount of extra time it took.
At no point from start to finish did attorney Menzel ever make me feel secondary. Anytime I sent a question out through email or phone. I would get a quick response. She never promised me a magic deal where all the charges I had pending would simply disappear. But that she could greatly reduce the damage.
When it was all said and done I’m at the opinion that I got the absolute best deal anyone in my position could have asked for. I strongly feel that my representation from attorney Menzel exceeded all of my expectations and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone who is in need of her expertise. A++ job. She’s a very smart, classy and all around genuine lady to work with.

Chris was extremely upfront about expectations and handled my divorce with blunt honesty, realistic expectations and charged a flat fee. I am very happy with the outcome, and I had even made his job difficult at times through poor judgement and adverse actions that did not help my case, but in the end, we got great results and he was able to keep the custody and finance settelment reasonable. I highly reccomend him and his paralegal also was very helpful in a time of great stress and uncertainty.

This is the second time I tried an uncontested divorce and it went much much better. The first time was through an online "fill in the blank" site that was useless. This firm provides great directions along the way to try to prevent it from becoming contested. I had to give in a little which is fine so I could get it over with. Mr. Weintraub was my lawyer for a modification of child-support gate. I think he did a really good job of figuring out my former spouses actual income versus what was reported and even corrected Washington State’s calculations. He looked at his finances and tax returns and I think his tax background helped a lot which is one reason I hired him. Other lawyers I consulted didn’t point them out. He has a very helpful staff and was less cost than many others quoted, so I’m very happy with his overall work.

Look no further. If you can get her, hire her immediately! Jamie Walker was my second attorney in a complicated divorce/annulment case. After wasting money on an attorney initially, I didn't intend to hire Jamie, only consult her, because I didn't think I could afford her. She impressed me so much with her knowledge, even keeled and pragmatic approach, that I knew I had to hire her no matter the cost. She went right to work, immediately springing into action filing motions and advocating for me. She went above and beyond my expectations. Not once did she waste my time with back and forth emails that could have been quick phones calls. She only communicated and billed when necessary.
This was my first time ever needing an attorney and here is the lesson I learned: When you actually do need an attorney, you cannot afford to choose the "cheaper" option. It will cost you.

Jamie and her team are total experts with family law. I've dealt with a lot of family law attorneys over the past year and a half, so I have some perspective on this. Frankly, the majority I've worked with were incredibly unethical, super untrustworthy and just disinterested in actually following the law, but not Jamie and her team. I do not state this lightly.
She doesn't back down even under a lot of stress on tough cases, her fees were very reasonable, and she's unbiased. She's the real deal, and she works in nearby counties. Don't waste time hiring someone you will just need to fire after they mess up your case and cost you a bunch of money. Go for the real thing.
Also remember, you get what you pay for with family law attorneys. It's not cheap to hire the best. I feel that I got every dime of value from the money I spent hiring her.

I was in an accident a the end of 2017. I had surgery, and some long term damage to my thumb. Without boring you with the specifics.. I was looking at a mandatory minimum of 2 years in prison. It all stemmed from a road rage incident FROM THE OTHER GUY. I defended myself from harm and even called 911. However, the man was most likely connected with the law enforcement community as there were 3 Michigan State Police cars outside my house when I arrived home. Needless to say, I was a little concerned. I needed a reputable criminal attorney that knew their stuff. I maintain my innocence, but try convincing the State Police and Prosecutor’s Office of that when they KNEW THE GUY (in my humble opinion.) I instantly hired Derrick George. I think I visited his office twice with information and statements about the incident. Now, I don’t know HOW he did it but Derrick George, Magic Man, stopped everything BEFORE the Prosecutor’s Office even looked at the incident. No trial. No pre-prosecution diversion, NOTHING! I even got a phone call from the State Police saying everything was fine. Mind you, that was after the original meeting when 3 state troopers were sweating me hard and searching my house, etc. I believe to this day that the phone call from them was a form of an apology for being overzealous. Without Derrick George on my side, who knows what might’ve happened. He is friendly, knowledgeable and most all CARING. His connections are undeniable. If you find yourself in a jam, don’t make a terrible mistake and hire a subpar attorney, hire somebody that has your back. Thank you Derrick. You are a life saver.
