I have nothing but good things to say about Mr. Tanaka. My wife and I have never been sued before so this was definitely a new experience. Over the last year we worked with Mr. Tanaka regarding a Landlord/tenant dispute. He was nothing but a professional the whole time and was always there if we needed him. Mr. Tanaka is the best family attorney that I have worked with. I have seen him multiple times over the past three years for legal advice and recently retained him to handle my custody case. Marci went beyond my expectation. She worked diligently (despite the COVID slow down in the courts) and with great compassion, in getting a resolution in my conservatorship of two children. Her hard work in getting the necessary paperwork, including serving the absentee parents, who proved difficult to locate, living separately in two states. Her personal concern for the welfare of the children and obtaining a stable environment for the them to grow up in was wonderful. I hired Mark , for a divorce it was a costly horrible divorce that because of reconciliation off and on it lasted approximately 6 1/2 yrs .
I payed Mark thousands of dollars over that period of time - divorce can be costly and if you want prime rib and all the fixens then you gotta pay for it .

Mark will tell you … “Shut Up and listen !” When its needed … he will call you ask how you are when you have surg and ask if you need anything?and mean it - He will listen when your discouraged at the same time keep your skin thick because divorce isn’t for the weak .
Yes … I had very heated discussion with him when I didn’t agree - all but once that I remember he was right and I was not quite right . That’s what I was paying him for !
I didn’t need a lot of bedside manner - I wanted to open and maintain a can of Whoop A.. and he did but smooth flowing just enough and he cooled my jets when needed ( often ) .
If I called .. he answered , if I needed to ask a question he answered it - sometimes he told me … “let me work …this is costing you $” ( when I was over managing ) he’d tell me “I got this . “
I used mark to pound the beach with the heavy artillery soft up the enemy and I mean nobody gonna mess with you in or out court house if he’s your atty … seriously !
It’s been yrs now since …. I got the divorce :)
I was going through my phone and saw his number .. texted him and just as when I was paying him thousands $ he answered my text and he’s there if I need .. I’m telling you I’m sold - I’d hire him again - I like him as a person and I like when it comes to him as my atty I could look away and he’s got it . He’s better as a leader / teammate than your opposing counsel so hire him and listen , he’s got it ! just let him work !!!!!

With all the emotions of a custody case the last thing I needed was problems or concerns with my own attorney. We were in a very challenging spot, taking care of our nephew with major behavioral problems as legal guardians. Doctors advised us to call the state to put our nephew into the state conservatorship so additional facilities would be available to us. When we call, CPS threatened us with legal action, tried to intimidate, and were the opposite of helpful. Greg came through for us in a big way, when we needed it most. He calmed us about how CPS tries to intimidate guardians, advised us on how to prepare for court, and represented us. He was fantastic.

I had previously hired another attorney back in 2016, but due to the uncooperativeness of the other party's attorney and my attorney's own personal demons, my case was dragged out for two years with zero progress. Then, I met Spencer back in April 2018. I explained to him the backstory of my case as it currently stood. My case was not an overly complicated case at all, as I was simply being denied my access for visitation. He made no promises, but did tell me that I did have good merit for a modification of the parent-child relationship, which is what I believed to be the case prior to meeting with him. If I'm not mistaken, the final trial in my case had been reset a total of 4 times over the course of my case before we officially had trial. After all these years, dating back from 2014 - 2022 (8 years), my case was so loaded with evidence, it was actually planned to have trial over the course of 2 days. Luckily, we were able to finish trial in 1 single day. While Spencer does represent both mothers and fathers, Spencer has a real passion for representing fathers and is an advocate for fathers' equal rights, this is one of the reasons I was drawn to hire Spencer. I knew that I did not make a mistake when choosing who I wanted in my corner. For those that think that simply having an attorney is the be-all and end-all, you couldn't be more wrong. You should be on top of your case just as much as your attorney is. Your case is as good as you make it out to be, an attorney can only do so much. I went to trial thinking that my case could go one of two ways. I figured in the best case scenario, I would be awarded 50/50 custody, worst case scenario, nothing would change (which is what is typically expected in the District Court I was in since the judge is traditional and old fashioned - which means "pro-mom"). To my surprise, the judge awarded me primary custody with everything additional that I asked for in my pleadings (effective 04/11/2022). Spencer is a fantastic attorney who actually gets the job done and takes pride in his work! There are many attorneys that practice Family Law, but in my opinion, I wouldn't consider most of them to be good "trial attorneys", whereas Spencer knows all of the ins-and-outs of trial, he knows what evidence should be presented and when, he knows exactly when to make an objection, and he can be extremely persuasive to not only the judge but the opposing party. I never had any issues with communicating with him or his office. I could not have asked for better representation! I know exactly who I will refer people to when a Family Law attorney is needed! I cannot speak any higher of Jeff Branch. He handled my unfortunate divorce for me and made it a smooth, way less stressed ordeal. I had originally hired a different attorney who did what most lawyers do, promise to help you, get your money, then put you on the back burner. After my wife's attorney walked on my attorney a few times with no fight I called and met with Mr. Branch. Let me just say, the tides turned quickly to a point where everything smoothed out and stayed fair. One of the most brutally honest people I know, Jeff always told me the truth and shot me straight. Right from the start with my case, he told me "no one will walk away with everything, but I promise you'll both walk away with what you can live with". He was so right, our divorce was fair and neither side felt cheated. The one thing I will say is Jeff Branch commands respect with his knowledge of the law and his winning attitude. From the moment he took over my case, it was like I had hired a Pit Bull to represent me. I have worked with Ms. Taylor since the start of my divorce in 2017, it's conclusion in 2018 and every issue that has come up since. Through everything the other party has thrown at us (constantly losing counsel, backing out of agreements, and generally prolonging the case) she has handled every aspect in my case with urgency, attention to detail, and a grace that only she has. I'm amazed at how she is always able to anticipate the opposing parties next move. A little background on this issue, my son was back and forth to the doctor around Jan 2020 with breathing issues. Finally, he was diagnosed with severe asthma. He had to take different medications and be hooked up to machine several times a day. Then, Covid-19 hit in March 2020. During this time, he were still going to visitation and all parties were made aware of our son's condition and the doctor's recommendation. However, the other party did not follow these guidelines (i.e. taking him to parties) which put him as risk. Ms. Taylor handled this situation thoughtfully. She attempted to work with the other party outside of court and get him to agree to follow the doctor's recommendations and guidelines. Only when the other party refused, did we seek assistance from the courts. The judge ruled in our favor allowing my son to limit his exposure to Covid-19 while getting his asthma under control. I will be forever grateful to Ms. Taylor and her skills as an attorney for helping my family live a happy healthy life.

I want all to know that Mr. David Wynne’s representation in my court case has given me not only the impression but the confidence that being an attorney, especially in family court, takes a special person with a heart that is understanding and compassionate for their clients and involves extreme knowledge of the Texas Family Laws that as I know now is an ever-changing living entity.
When we started this cause, it was going to be a simple visitation request so I could spend a few hours a week with my son. Mr. Wynne was straight forward on what I should expect and how we should approach everything in regards to the case, which was very important to me because I had never had to be involved with anything of this sort and was completely unaware of what to do. Before hiring David Wynne to represent me in a complex divorce case, I carefully studied Fort Worth Magazine's "Top Lawyers for 2020" and attorney reviews in the Avvo Lawyer Directory. In both places, I found Mr. Wynne to be very highly rated and decided to contact him by telephone. A ten-minute conversation convinced me that David Wynne was the attorney I wanted to represent me.
While reading my first letter from Mr. Wynne, I noted that his letterhead promised to provide clients with "aggressive controlled representation." Yes, I found this to be the case, but, more importantly, I found him to a "client friendly attorney" who always represented me in a competent, caring, and classy manner.
My divorce case had been poorly handled by my previous attorney. For this reason, lots of work was required by David and he had many "Motions" to file just to "get us up to speed" and "place us on an even playing field" with my former wife and her attorney. As this occurred, during a five-month period, David's legal knowledge and skills as an attorney became very evident to me.
Because of delaying tactics by the opposing counsel and the fact that this counsel required my divorce case to be arbitrated rather than settled in a court of law, the case took 14 months to resolve. I like the on the line system- modern technology is so amazing. I never had to drive to his office (like my ex-wife did- traveled 45 minutes each way to talk with her lawyer) to get access to him but did everything thru on line and telephone. Set up an appointment time slot on his schedule that he has available and then he calls you back at that time. Be organized and write down your content you want to cover as the time flies by quickly.
He was 4 times cheaper than the first lawyer I had a consultation with to see if I was going to hired her her

I am so thankful to have been referred to Jade! Prior to working with her I had lost confidence in the lawyer I had, so I started a search for a new one....the one I initially met with referred me to Jade and felt we would be a great fit and Jade had openings, as she did not. Hire her. Hire her. Hire her. She will meet and surpass all of your expectations. This was my first experience working with a lawyer and I am extremely pleased with my experience. It’s never fun to be in a situation where a lawyer is needed but having the right lawyer on your side is extremely crucial. I never once questioned if I made the right decision in lawyers. She really listened every time I expressed concern about something and always worked through things with me in a way I always fully understood and was 100% comfortable with. I was in the process of negotiating an uncontested divorce (outside of court) with my ex-spouse, when I was surprised by a court summons I received in the mail. My ex and her attorney filed a contested divorce case in the middle of negotiated an uncontested settlement! The attorney that was helping me prepare the uncontested divorce documents referred me to a list of trial attorneys, including Ed and team.
I happened to interviewed two other trail attorneys first, but I decided to go with Ed after our first conversation. Ed really understood my situation. Not only is he an experienced divorce attorney, but he also went through a difficult divorce himself. He helped me to put my situation into perspective and helped me to focus on the most important aspect, which was my children.
I worked with Ed and Bryson for 15 months. There were lots of court delays due to COVID in addition to my ex and I not coming to terms quickly. During the intake meeting (our first meeting to discuss the case), Bryson walked me through what the divorce process would most likely look like. He explained all of the steps we will go through and all of the opportunities to come to a settlement before we actually go to trial. He explained why people go through each step and what is most likely to happen for me based on my situation. Looking back, we ended up going through that exact process he laid out; and settling 2 weeks before the court date which he expected based on how far apart my ex and I were. We attended Zoom court hearings, in person mediation, and late case evaluation; in addition to many phone calls discussing all the complex aspects of my case.
One of the first accomplishments we had was establishing a temporary custody schedule with my kids. This is something that would never have happened without Ed and Bryson's help. I was having difficulty getting any type of regular schedule established with my ex. They were able to get my ex to agree to a fair schedule, which included half of the Christmas break just a few weeks before Christmas break. This is even prior to the first 30 day status conference with the judge. Over the course of the 15 months of negotiation, we were able to establish that I would have my kids 5 days out of every 14 days. This was after starting with only having them every other Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon.
Bryson was great to work with. He is an experienced and knowledgable attorney; and he had longstanding relationships with many mediators, judges and other people involved in the Fulton County family court system. He was able to anticipate many people's perspectives, which went a long way with negotations. He is also an expert in family law with many years of experience. I recall one impressive moment during our late case evaluation. The late case evaluator was a former judge who is obviously an expert in family law himself. Bryson and the Judge were discussing some esoteric detqils of child support calculations as part of negotiating our position, when the former judge replied "Oh really? I didn't know that." Bryson referenced where the detail was explained and the former judge said "Wow, I've been doing this for 30 years and I never knew that. I still learn something new everyday."
The settlement agreement turned out to be extremely valuable. I have already cut and pasted from it numerous time in communications with my ex, when she decides rules don't apply to her. It has ended a few arguments before they even started. Even post divorce, Ed's advice is valuable and has helped me avoid problems as well as giving me a better understanding of legal options when my ex isn't following our settlement agreement.

After my name change was approved without using a lawyer, I found out I needed to get it amended to include my birth name. The court order listed only my married name so I was unable to change my birth certificate. I started the amendment process on my own, but contacted Adam after I moved. He was able to change it to virtual court hearings. My amended name change was approved immediately once we had the court hearing with the judge. Ultimately, I wish I had contacted him sooner, before starting the name change. It is not as easy as it seems on your own. I would have saved on time, money, and stress.
