Our custody case turned our world upside down. When I found Jess Morgan she made the whole situation easier to handle and process. I met with Jennifer after my disappointment with my two year experience with another attorney. At my first meeting with Jen, she knew more about my case from reviewing before our meeting than my previous attorney had obtained over the course of two years. Right away I could tell she was very organized, prepared and focused on me and what she could do for me. She is very professional and straightforward. I am so thankful to have been referred to Jade! Prior to working with her I had lost confidence in the lawyer I had, so I started a search for a new one....the one I initially met with referred me to Jade and felt we would be a great fit and Jade had openings, as she did not. From the moment I reached out to Jade I felt more confident. She has responded to me from day 1 within 24 hours either by email or phone. She listened to everything I had to say, got creative with different options and had a variety of plans in place as back up to try to keep my original goal in the front of the priority list in the parenting plan. It wasn't too many years ago when I first met this wonderful company; and at that it was by chance. One day I was going to a local/ national chain of a fast food restaurant where as I went to get a drink, I slipped and fell on a spill that was on the floor. Well needless to say the fast food place was quick to try to usher me out the door and try to act as if it was my fault and not give me the support I deserved. Well a friend of mine happened to have R&M's number and told me how good they were. At first like anyone else is was skeptical and thought these will just be some ambulance chasers and just wanted to get quick money and would settle for whatever was offered and move on to next case. Well to my surprise and actually opposite of what I thought of them before I met them; this team was very invested in first my mental health with making sure I felt comfortable with moving forward on the case to my physical health with making sure I received the best recovery care way down to not letting the big franchise lawyers push me around and treat me like I was just looking for a check; I felt they made the franchise respect me as a person first. Hire her. Hire her. Hire her. She will meet and surpass all of your expectations. This was my first experience working with a lawyer and I am extremely pleased with my experience. It’s never fun to be in a situation where a lawyer is needed but having the right lawyer on your side is extremely crucial. I never once questioned if I made the right decision in lawyers. She really listened every time I expressed concern about something and always worked through things with me in a way I always fully understood and was 100% comfortable with. My case was regarding child custody and child support and it felt like I had a great friend on my side defending my rights. It was always refreshing to speak with her and I always left our meetings and conversations confident in my situation. I am actually a little saddened that we will no longer be in communication, as my case has come to an end (in my favor, I might add). I was in the process of negotiating an uncontested divorce (outside of court) with my ex-spouse, when I was surprised by a court summons I received in the mail. My ex and her attorney filed a contested divorce case in the middle of negotiated an uncontested settlement! The attorney that was helping me prepare the uncontested divorce documents referred me to a list of trial attorneys, including Ed and team.
I happened to interviewed two other trail attorneys first, but I decided to go with Ed after our first conversation. Ed really understood my situation. Not only is he an experienced divorce attorney, but he also went through a difficult divorce himself. He helped me to put my situation into perspective and helped me to focus on the most important aspect, which was my children.
I worked with Ed and Bryson for 15 months. There were lots of court delays due to COVID in addition to my ex and I not coming to terms quickly. During the intake meeting (our first meeting to discuss the case), Bryson walked me through what the divorce process would most likely look like. He explained all of the steps we will go through and all of the opportunities to come to a settlement before we actually go to trial. He explained why people go through each step and what is most likely to happen for me based on my situation. Looking back, we ended up going through that exact process he laid out; and settling 2 weeks before the court date which he expected based on how far apart my ex and I were. We attended Zoom court hearings, in person mediation, and late case evaluation; in addition to many phone calls discussing all the complex aspects of my case.
One of the first accomplishments we had was establishing a temporary custody schedule with my kids. This is something that would never have happened without Ed and Bryson's help. I was having difficulty getting any type of regular schedule established with my ex. They were able to get my ex to agree to a fair schedule, which included half of the Christmas break just a few weeks before Christmas break. This is even prior to the first 30 day status conference with the judge. Over the course of the 15 months of negotiation, we were able to establish that I would have my kids 5 days out of every 14 days. This was after starting with only having them every other Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon.
Bryson was great to work with. He is an experienced and knowledgable attorney; and he had longstanding relationships with many mediators, judges and other people involved in the Fulton County family court system. He was able to anticipate many people's perspectives, which went a long way with negotations. He is also an expert in family law with many years of experience. I recall one impressive moment during our late case evaluation. The late case evaluator was a former judge who is obviously an expert in family law himself. Bryson and the Judge were discussing some esoteric detqils of child support calculations as part of negotiating our position, when the former judge replied "Oh really? I didn't know that." Bryson referenced where the detail was explained and the former judge said "Wow, I've been doing this for 30 years and I never knew that. I still learn something new everyday."
The settlement agreement turned out to be extremely valuable. I have already cut and pasted from it numerous time in communications with my ex, when she decides rules don't apply to her. It has ended a few arguments before they even started. Even post divorce, Ed's advice is valuable and has helped me avoid problems as well as giving me a better understanding of legal options when my ex isn't following our settlement agreement.

After my name change was approved without using a lawyer, I found out I needed to get it amended to include my birth name. The court order listed only my married name so I was unable to change my birth certificate. I started the amendment process on my own, but contacted Adam after I moved. He was able to change it to virtual court hearings. My amended name change was approved immediately once we had the court hearing with the judge. Ultimately, I wish I had contacted him sooner, before starting the name change. It is not as easy as it seems on your own. I would have saved on time, money, and stress.

I have never needed a lawyer to represent me in the past, so this was my first experience. I bet that, along with fictional depictions of lawyers, a person's first experience with a lawyer probably colors how they generally think of them. If I am correct in that idea, then my idea of lawyers is that they are awesome.
Levity aside, Ashlee and her firm (to include Sue, the paralegal) are fantastic. I was going through a divorce that was initially civil and was going to be a joint petition but my ex kept delaying for months. Eventually I had to hire an attorney and from day one Ashlee was attentive in understanding the particulars of my circumstances, my ideal outcome, and explaining to me what I could expect.
I am the type who researches and ask questions. Ashlee was always available via their client portal and, once she realized my personality was to know the details, she provided explanations of everything happening along the way.
I ended with a settlement that was in line with what I wanted. 100% without hesitation recommend.

Mr Sawyer was the perfect person for the situation I was was facing two citations, the second one being a misdemeanor. I am not familiar enough to represent myself in this matter. I can only say, with all my heart, thank you very much! I came to see Attorney Marilyn Colon's after having hired two different attorneys who I felt were not representing me to their best extent.
On the first visit, I saw how professional attorney Colon was and as well as her team. She was surprised by the situations in my case and I remember her reassuring words; "You are a good father and you will have time that you deserve with your daughter."
She took all of my information about my case and started working right away. I hired Mr. Wade to expedite my divorce after being with an ill-prepared attorney for 1 1/2 years in which I didn't get past the discovery stage. I got quick results with Mr. Wade and my divorce was finalized after 4 months. His support staff quickly responded to all my emails and returned my calls. Mr. Wade is very experienced and knowledgeable and found an error in a filing by my ex-spouse's attorney and took immediate action on her behalf which saved me money and didn't prolong the divorce proceedings. He is involved in all the cases in his firm. Joseph and his team are incredible. I was dealing with a long distance divorce/custody case, with homeschooled children. I'd had a couple of attorneys, only one of whom actually helped, but then things seemed to fall apart. I needed to make some changes because my children were not doing well.
Our plan hadn't been finalized yet, so time was of the essence.
A few other mommas, in a similar situation, recommended Joe. I consulted with a few attorneys, but none of them were willing to really listen. All of them left me feeling hopeless and very triggered. After years of psychological and emotional abuse, I wasn't in a place to be able to handle those types of attorneys.
Joe was different. He was careful, calm, kind, and compassionate, but still straightforward with no b.s. I felt safe. I think that's what all of us want, really. Joe stayed in communication with me. He didn't leave me hanging. He kept me informed, answered every question, and was patient through all of it. He didn't yell at me (yeah, that has happened before). He helped me see things that needed to be seen and understand from better perspectives.
It was a bonus that we saw eye to eye on some things and I didn't feel like I had to defend myself to him.
