Shannon is handling my current divorce. Very patient and understanding, yet gives it to you straight and truthful. Very fair in regards to cost. Has charged 1/3 of my wife's attorney yet has filled me in more and made sure I understand what she is doing for me in trying to move forward. Has recommended actions to me that I have taken and some I have not, but understands why I decided not to without badgering me. I'm no easy client, and I have probably handcuffed her in defending me. But she consults me and gives it to me from both perspectives. I'm so glad I found her services and double glad she accepted me as a client. Her assistant Kaila is a saint as well. Thanks to both of them for helping me.

I hired Ms. Otto to assist me with my divorce in 2012. She was very easy to work with and did a great job in dealing with my ex husbands attorney. We were able to come to an amicable separation agreement in a very reasonable amount of time which was important to me so that things didn’t get dragged out. I also hired her and her partner Mr. Locke to assist me in another part of my divorce which had to do with my mothers will and again they were nothing but professional and swift in getting that situation wrapped up. I have referred quite a few folks to Ms. Otto including my daughter for a prenuptial agreement. If you’re looking for a great lawyer that will get things done in a timely fashion with your best interest at heart look no further.

I retained Ms. Shannon Otto and she helped me to file a couple of show cause motions for contempt of court, she also helped me to increase my visitation time, and to update our child support schedule. I am extremely impressed with Ms. Otto. She is very knowledgeable, professional and honest attorney. During the discovery phase she was very thorough and she made me work a lot to compile all the information that could serve as evidence. I really appreciate the way that she represented me in court, in front of the Judge, Ms. Otto was always very well prepared. She focused on the important issues, and she chose her battles wisely. At the end, I am very pleased with the outcome of my case. Her paralegal, Ms. Craig was very helpful, she always kept me informed on the development of my case and she always got back to me to answer my questions.
I really hope that I do not have to return to court, but if this happens, I will not hesitate to retain Ms. Otto to represent me again. Miss Shannon Otto is an outstanding family law attorney and I highly recommend her.

Merideth was a lifesaver for my family. We actually worked on two divorces together. The second one was insanely difficult because my kids were involved and my ex wife chose one of the worst divorce lawyers in the business. He simply did not want to settle eventhough my ex wife did. I really don't know what I would have done without Merideths help. She is a real pro and she knows how not to make matters worse than they already are. Donna Smiedt was recommended to me by a dentist friend of mine. He himself had been through a few divorces and knew who was good and who was not. Not only is Donna incredibly proficient at what she does professionally, She is a very compassionate caring and helpful person as well! She knew how to communicate well with both myself & my now ex-husband. I got an incredible settlement -fair & generous. Partly because she was able to speak in a non-confrontational tone with my ex and convince him that it was best to be fair. I’m quite sure no other lawyer could have attained those results due to his type “A” personality. Absolutely fantastic to work with ! Through keeping my ex-wife‘s attorney in check as well as always being on the attack in the courtroom Yive fought for my rights as well as my child’s continuously. After doing coparenting class and social study we were able to ensure my child’s stability and safety living with me primarily in ensuring that he was not anywhere near the violence that was taking place at the other household . And that is very hard to do As the father. If you are looking for someone that’s going to take your back and fight for what’s right definitely give her a call specially if you are a father looking to maintain your rights. Divorces and custody battles are not easy and are stressful, you want to use the best attorney out there to have your side and in my personal opinion there is no better attorney in the DFW area.

My divorce was just final almost a year ago. It was a difficult situation with our business involved. Denise ALWAYS looked out for me. I would get intimidated - just plain scared - and she would "talk me off the cliff"! This happened many times. She was always available - even at night and on weekends. I don't want to think about what my situation would be had I not hired Denise! She would often say to me: "I'm not your mother" but this is what I advise. I have had an ongoing child custody case for 6 years now. Just recently I have come across David, unfortunately he is located 3 hours from the district court my case is in. However, that has not steered him away from helping me with over the phone consults regarding my case. He has gone above and beyond my expectations in providing me with the information i needed, as well as plainly explaining situations and scenarios of my case so that i could understand what exactly is going on and how I personally need to go about handling it. No, I have not gotten the pleasure to meet David in person yet, but from the amount of time I have spent talking with him has me convinced he is the best attorney to handle something like my case. There has not been a single time that he didn't answer the phone when i called, and knew exactly who I was by the time we had our second phone conversation. I am very impressed with his work ethic as well as his personality because he will put himself in your shoes to be able to give you the best possible legal advise that he can. I am definitely looking forward to more help from David, and possibly retaining him as an attorney if possible in the future (the 3 hour drive may be the only issue at hand with being able to hire him). I am a single father in the military and have custody of my son because of Robin. Without her I don't think It would of been possible. Her devotion to the case and able to relate was incredible and way above par. I never had to worry that she wasn't looking out for my son and mines best interest. Kelly assisted with my divorce and she was amazing through the entire thing. She is knowledgeable and realistic. She won’t convince you to “over reach” and displays compassion and sympathy throughput the process. Furthermore, she got the judge to agree to my ex signing a voluntary parental relinquishment of my son, which I hear is actually pretty difficult. Her and her entire staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly throughout processes that are naturally difficult. I would definitely hire her again.

You know that slimy, slick feeling you may get when speaking to a lawyer? Not for a moment did I ever feel that way with Kelly. She was gracious enough to take my custody case when my previous lawyer failed and I thought I stood no chance at winning custody of my kids.
Kelly was kind, firm, and my voice of reason when I thought I was drowning. She left no stone unturned against my ex and destroyed any credibility he thought he had. Not to mention, she was incredibly polite, organized, and likeable in front of the judge.
I say with absolute honesty that I never would have won custody without Kelly. She knew exactly how to pick apart his lies and show the judge why he was unfit to have them.
Kelly is worth her weight in gold. I thank my lucky stars every night knowing that my kids are where they belong.

I usually don't write reviews buy I felt compelled to share my experience with Steve. Now here's the thing I called at 5:30 pm on a Saturday and he answered! It was on a whim and im so happy that I found him and reached out. I explained my what I feel might be a "messy" situation trying to get divorced. He listened with no judgement and told me that I already seem to know what to do but let me help you if i can. He offered for me to fill out all my paperwork (because the court house lost my divorce paperwork SMH) and when I have it all in order to email him and he said he will not charge me for him to look it over. I have called a couple lawyers and no one ever offered me anything like this. I feel he really heard me and I am just so grateful that he answered my call. Going forward if I need to retain he is who I will be retaining. This man is very kind, humble and just a good guy. Thank you Steve you gave me my hope back that I lost for some time. I wish I could give more then 5 stars!

I rarely write online reviews, but i think it is critical in this instance, firstly, because I used Avvo in assisting with my legal selection and consumers need this data. So, I will be as honest as I can.
Attorney Zlochiver is principled. I found his service to be based upon fairness and seeking the best outcome within the limits of the law, and done with an un-excitable, stable spirit. This sometimes was a sticking point for us. My opponent was aggressive and angry, and I wanted more energy; wisely, Attorney Zlochiver did not return all of the flaming brands I requested of him. In the end, for better or worse, he tempered my anger and frustration with my case.
Attorney Zlochiver is responsive. He was always reachable by email and phone. Reasonable response times were always met.
In summary, if you are seeking retribution and revenge, I don't think you'll find satisfaction here. I occasionally felt as though we could have been more aggressive--going on the offensive vs. a defensive posture, but Steve knew it would have been a futile, mis-use of my fee and he was careful about fee utilization.

In searching for a family lawyer, I had three criteria:
1) A competent lawyer who is familiar with the presiding judge. It is important that the lawyer knows what the judge looks for in a case both in the court room and the filed documentation. He was able to advise of the proper strategy to get the best case scenario without having the situation spiral into a more contentious case.
2) An objective lawyer who has enough court-room experience to be realistic in assessing possible outcomes. Rather than simply being hopeful, he suggested contingencies for the most plausible decisions that the judge may make during the hearing.
3) An understanding lawyer who would work with my limited budget & time. Mr. Zlochiver took on my case knowing of my financial situation and worked into the late evening on new documentation in order to bolster my case the following morning.
Steven Zlochiver certainly does not comes to mind when you think of the typical ambulance-chasing lawyer. Not a shark. Not a clock watcher. Rather, someone you definitely want in your corner who is willing to relate to your circumstances.

Wish I had used Anita when I first filed for divorce. She has now corrected the areas that were left open by a previous attorney that caused issues not setting clear, outlined specifics that put me back in court. She is like a surgeon knowing what needs to get cut and what needs to be modified all in good health.
Smart, kind, is clear about expectations and looking at long term priorities for the parent and the child. Anita helped me to forecast what we needed at the moment then 5yrs, 10yrs down the road.

It was a tough situation not only did I lose a partner I was also pregnant during my divorce. Going through a divorce was probably one of my life's most liberating moment. It was a difficult transition, but to be able to have the courage to finally do something you know you should have done for a long time. I knew the minute I met Andrew and Elizabeth that it was a match. Andrew was so stern, persuasive, and quick on his feet and Elizabeth is so precise, relatable and attention to detail. They both were very matter of fact, problem solvers, and total geniuses with numbers.
After our first initial consultation, I told them what was going on with my husband at the time's on going affairs and abuse. Without judgement, they sat and listened and gave me comfort in examples of what kind of cases they have scene and how mine was not the worse. I didn't have any children, I was still at a pretty young age, and they asked me: "Do you want to leave him?" and I said yes! Just that first decision was a shift in stepping into my own and choosing happiness over obligation. They were able to file for a divorce and served him the subpoena the day he got back from his "business trip"
They were always on top of everything and when we first started off I was making rookie mistakes like forwarding every threatening email my ex would write me which they could have easily billed me for but they made sure to get me on the phone to advise me how to consolidate and print the emails so I can save some money.
The whole team here are so helpful. If I had a question, I would get a response almost right away, or if they were in court at least a couple hours after. If emails were too long to write out, I would get a phone call so that everything is clear and we know exactly what the action plan is as to next steps. I always felt I was taken care of and that they were on my side and behind me, fighting for what I deserve.
During the last step of mediation, and we sat across from my ex and his lawyer. I could not have been more confident and ready. Every attempt my ex brought up to try to take from me such as my luxury handbags, jewelry, 401k, engagement ring, down payment of our houses, somehow Andrew would find something to rebuttal, and reason him out of it.
Through the whole process, they were thorough, strategic and got me out with more than I could ask for. I am finally a new woman, without a cheating husband and have my own house, car and bank account full of savings I can fall back on singing "You don't own me, I'm not just one of your many toys...". I am now officially divorced, the final paperwork was filed with the court and the minute that happened and I got the email from Andrew and Elizabeth I literally felt 100% exonerated.
I know I wouldn't have been able to do it on my own. All that paperwork, my ex and his many masks, scheming, harassing, manipulating... paying the lawyers to do all the work and not having to deal with being in contact with my ex was worth every penny. It's been 8 months since I filed for divorce, I have seen couples that are still trying to get their spouse to sign 2 years after filing for divorce. I am so relieved it only took us 8 months. Now that it's all over, I can move on to the next chapter of my life.
Thank you Andrew, Elizabeth, Robin and the entire team for being so efficient and supportive during this process. I highly recommend anyone looking for representation to hire Andrew and Elizabeth. You will not regret it!

Being a mother in a dangerous relationship/living situation was my worst nightmare -- it became my reality as a 21 year old. I hired Jack O'Connor to represent me for visitations of my daughter. Mr. O'Connor was very knowledgable and prepared for court. I had not seen my daughter over a year due to mother not allowing her to see me. I have been paying child support for four years and never missing one payment. I googled pro-Bono attorneys, since I’m a full time single mom right now and up against a wealthy abusive ex. Even though it turned out Navid doesn’t work pro bono, he still generously and patiently answered all of my questions.
