I was referred to Mrs. Aileen Siclait, by a neighbor who was ranting and raving about her non-stop. How she is on point, doesn't pIay, doesn't have time to waste... She's just Amazing! Needless to say, I took that number down.
I've been told often that child support cases are commonly complicated. For instance, in cases like mine, which originated from another State, with arrears of over $20,000 were often a longshot, especially when the child has already reached majority, and the opposing party presents himself as a total looser, with no money to spare.
It took a few years, for the back pay to accumulate that much and throughout these years, he made numerous attempts to weasel himself out of paying money he owed me. It was a real struggle.
Well... Aileen turned out to be Everything my friend described, and then some. We made contact the second week of August 2022, she consulted with me in person, over the phone, exchanged a few emails and by the end of the same week, she had a proposal ready for my signature.
To make a long story short, (because I could go on and on), by April 10th, 2023, specifically 8 months later, I received a Direct Deposit of one lumpsum payment of a negotiated amount, nevertheless, one Substantial lumpsum amount, which I was about to give up on. Don't Give Up People!!!! There is a light at the end of the tunnel :)

This is how I embody Attorney Carolyn Harris. I have just ended a 1 1/2 year guardianship/custody "Battle". I have been the legal guardian of my grandchild and the biological father wanted sole custody. Carolyn came highly recommended from a Los Angeles Attorney. She was forthright with all of the issues that I would encounter. I had the end goal in mind and she chipped away at each of the legal procedures that were needed to attain my goal. I had a very slim chance of retaining guardianship but Attn. Harris was methodical, professional, and in tune with all of the procedures that were needed for each step. She is a TRUE professional. I recently reached out to Attorney Melissa Pendergrass about my current legal situation and after speaking with me she explained she was no longer focused on the type of representation I was requiring. She was extremely knowledgeable about my legal problem but felt I was better suited for another attorney! I felt a review was the least I could do seeing as she took the time to hear me out for free and refer me to another attorney she felt was best suited for my situation. It's difficult to find someone who will put your best interest in front of there financial gain and for this reason alone i felt she showed her true character that my outcome meant more than her bottom line! I really hope I do not need a family law attorney in the future but if I do she will absolutely be my first choice

I highly recommend Drury Pullen a Professional Law Corporation for family law representation. My child custody and divorce case spanned over a year given its complexity. At the beginning, I had the opportunity to work briefly with Jennifer Drury but later I extensively worked with Susanna Pullen. Both attorneys were responsive, compassionate and professional.
Susanna is proficient in many areas as an attorney but the areas I was most impressed with as a client were Susanna’s ability to: 1) assimilate information quickly and respond effectively, 2) write a clear and convincing brief, and 3) prepare and craft questions for witnesses.
Susanna demonstrated over and over her keen ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure at court hearings and at trial. Susanna’s ability to absorb new information and assimilate it with old information was very impressive. For example, during a trial lunch break, Susanna quickly processed newly submitted doctor’s notes and evaluations. Susanna came back to court and was able to use the information to ask discerning questions of subsequent witnesses and to integrate the new information into her summation.
From the beginning, Susanna’s extensive knowledge of family law was clearly reflected within the briefs she submitted to the court. Her briefs were well written and conveyed strong convincing arguments for the outcomes we were seeking. Susanna took care to accurately reference and cite important points as the case progressed.
Susanna was also outstanding at thinking on her feet in the court room during the cross examination of witnesses. Before trial, Susanna took the time to understand who the witnesses were and what they might testify. Susanna’s preparation laid a solid foundation for the thoughtful questions she asked witnesses. Susanna however was not constrained by the questions she prepared. Susanna actively listened to the answers of witnesses and in multiple instances she asked important follow-up questions in response to what witnesses had just testified.
Throughout the year-long process, Susanna didn’t promise any specific court outcome. Instead, Susanna provided honest, upfront, and realistic feedback throughout the ongoing child custody and divorce process so that I was able to manage my expectations appropriately. The child custody and divorce process was arduous and required my active collaboration and participation. I really appreciated Susanna Pullen’s expertise and I highly recommend her as a family law attorney.

Mr. Pettersson just helped me with a divorce case. I called a lot of attorneys before I contacted Mr. Pettersson. I was really happy I hired him and please with the outcome of the case. He was very clear about what he could do for me, what results to expect and what he needed from me. He was personable and compassionate about my concerns and always contacted me back with responses to my questions. His paralegal, Michelle, was fantastic! Mr. Pettersson was persistent and firm without being obnoxious and he was very thorough in covering each part of my case. There was nothing cheap about hiring an attorney, however, I feel that he did everything he could to keep the expenses reasonable on my side of the case. The other side paid three times as much (and some of my fees too :). I had the confidence knowing Mr. Pettersson, as my attorney, did everything he could to help me in an efficient and ethical manner. He always thought about what was in my best interest in my divorce case and that help a lot. Would call him again if I needed a lawyer.

Absolutely loved having Steven as my attorney. I had to unfortunately seek assistance with a divorce and Steven gave me a great initial consultation where we were not only able to talk about options, but put a plan in place for how we’d like to go forward (I came prepared with financial and asset information). The consultation was two hours long and he didn’t even charge for that first consultation. As things progressed Steven was able to quickly prepare documents and was able to continue to provide legal counsel when it was required - even ad hoc. Because Steven runs his own firm, he doesn’t have to maintain a staff of paralegals which made the retainer we agreed upon go that much further. If I ever require legal advice, counsel or a retained attorney, Steven will be the first on my list.

My divorce was particularly difficult and drawn out. It had a high degree of complexity involving a GAL and other child related issues. Brian was able to lay out a plan of attack and get to core issues quickly. He kept me well informed throughout the process and understood nuances of the legal system that other attorney's were not only unaware of but had no idea of how to use to their advantage.
On a personal note, he was phenomenal to work with. In the end we won and my children are thankful for it. I regularly recommend him to friends of mine that are in need of a good attorney and are going through divorce and especially those with complex child custody related issues.

Brian was/is my divorce attorney. I hired him on the advice of a friend who went through a messy divorce (mine was too), and it was the best thing I did during my divorce. He's helped with a couple of follow up issues in the years since.
The main thing I liked about Brian is that he was calm and measured. My ex would do something horrible, or make some outrageous legal claim, and I would start to respond with some of the same, and Brian would calmly explain why my I should not do so, and why her approach was probably going to be counter productive to her. This measured approach dialed down the intensity of the fight even though her attorney was a barracuda, which led to a fair divorce settlement out of court with less stress for everyone, and the kids in particular.
The other thing Brian did was write an incredibly thorough legal separation document - so long that the judge remarked on its length, but it has been a god send. My ex is constantly trying to come up with some new interpretation of our agreement, some new way in which she does less, or pays less, and has more, but she cannot because all the terms are in the separation agreement.
If you are looking for a lawyer out of a court-room drama, Brian is not for you. He's not going to come up with convoluted legal arguments and claim that you will get everything you want (which is not going to happen anyway). If you are looking for an adult, a serious lawyer who is going to gently but firmly guide you to a more successful outcome for you (and your kids), then I think you'll be happy if you hire him.

I interviewed Eric about six months ago. He seemed right like the right fit for my needs. And he was. At first, he tried to be reasonable and work with my ex to get me the support I needed and was entitled to receive. After a while, though, it was clear the my ex had no intention of paying, so Eric changed his approach and became very aggressive. Unfortunately, my ex still resisted, but it didn't matter. At that point Eric filed a for a hearing and I was awarded child support that was three times more than what my ex wanted to pay. Is Eric the cheapest lawyer out there? No. But you get what you pay for. I started with the cheapest lawyer and got cheap results. That is to say I got no results. However, I bet you my ex now wishes he would have cooperated. I strongly recommend Eric. He is honest and will tell you what to expect from the beginning!

I came on here 6 months ago confused, hurt, and looking for help when my husband who walked out on us 3 months prior filed for custody of the children. My husband was abusive verbally, emotionally, and physically but I unfortunately had very very little proof. He is extremely narcissistic, and I honestly never thought I could escape him, even after his leaving he continued to haunt me by trying to snatch the kids I worked so hard to protect from him just to hurt me (knowing this is my weak point) to make matter harder, I couldn't file for divorce because of religion, which he knew exactly how to use against me. I am saying all this just to show how completed this case was, but Sarah Jennifer Jacobs (with JacobsBerger in Morristown) was GOD SENT. And that's even an understatement. I came to her with my case and she was extremely understanding, empathetic, and knowledgeable. She took so much time studying my case and religion as to be prepared for this case. She answered emails regularly and promptly herself, even on holidays. Made sure I was comfortable with every step she took, stayed super late to make sure my papers that were submitted were to my liking, and even the day of trial, asked me to do the zoom from her office (so I feel more confident) and offered to get me lunch. She's a true human with a soul and not a money thirsty lawyer that just wanted to prolong my case so she can keep earning. She faced a "NJ top lawyer" that specializes in fathers rights, and she didn't even stand a chance against Sarah. She was strategic, knowledgeable, prepared, and have a hell of an oral argument that made the judge see right through the myriads of lies and fake evidence my husband had against me (because ofcourse he wouldn't settle and wanted to take it to the judge). She was able to capture 17 years worth of incidences in a precise written statement that made me cry reading it, because it was as she lived it with me. can't possibly say enough about this amazing lawyer and human. I honestly hugged her after the trial as if she was my angel that gave my kids back. I promise I am not exaggerating here, if you've even dealt with narcissistic, you know how horrific that experience is, and to have a lawyer that as good as Sarah, made this almost easy.

When you have an attorney, that is kind hearted, genuine, and that has good morals, it makes the process easier. There were times, and are still times that I call just to vent... Samantha did her best to resolve a case involving dealing with very difficult people on the defendant’s side, who were doing everything possible to stall the case by any means necessary. While attorneys on both sides are supposed to work to resolve the problem, this wasn’t the case. Samantha has to do all the work by herself while dealing with terrible people on the defender’s side. She is highly astute, hardworking lawyer at the rise of her carrier and eventually will be running the company she works for now or her own firm.
I only regret that the firm she was working for(even though they warned me that annulment would be much harder to achieve than regular divorce) did not push harder to explain to me that it will cost me x3 - x6 times more if I pursued that option, which I did, and lost a lot of money, just to get a regular divorce at the end anyway because the costs kept rising and I said “enough” when I paid over $30,000 and the case was far from resolved... If I knew that from the very beginning, I would never pursue the annulment scenario and would’ve saved a ton of money by doing simple divorce. But it was in no way Samantha’s fault as “the client is always right” and I did say that I wanted annulment from the very beginning... Again, my only regret is that I wish the firm would try much harder to dissuade me from taking this very expensive route in my case, but since it meant much more money to the firm, I can understand why they did not push hard enough to tell me about much greater costs.
Again, it has nothing to do with the high quality work Samantha did during the case, as she is an excellent lawyer. And if her superiors at the firm, told her not to push hard against me changing to a simpler divorce case instead of annulment, she had to follow the company’s orders. And I give her overall work an excellent rating, as she was kind, professional, supportive, cared about the best outcome of the case for me and accomplished that very best outcome. A+ for Samantha.

When I met Steve Fernandez my life was not in a good place. It is now. I have my life back, and, for the first time in a bit, the future looks bright and exciting. Steve Fernandez gave me a fresh start, brought order back to my life, and stood up for me when no one else would.
And that is the real reason I write this. My life was flipped upside down in the span of a day. My absorbantly wealthy wife used all of the powers at her disposal to bully me and make my life as difficult as possible. It was a daunting situation. But Steve kept me poised, sane, and confident that the way I was being treated was not only immoral, but not legal either. He was right.

Free advice : Before filing for custody, select your attorney wisely, choose a firm with a strong foundation. Hopefully this helps. Had I initially hired Steven Fernandez, none of this would have happened, had I not hired him I would have never seen our child again as I had come to his firm unable to speak and broken. I'll explain. I am a thirty eight year old man who loves his daughter dearly. I've had a smorgasbord of Family Law Specialist, JNE Commission, overpriced Avvo 10's. Not all of them were to blame for the original event that turned the child custody case that I filed in Los Angeles into a fabricated Hemet case, built by design for over-litigated fee churning fraud... However, said attorneys sure were lazy for the money and were happy to turn a blind eye to the blatant fraud and corruption, while simultaneously extrapolating from me every single penny. Steven Fernandez, who's name is on the letterhead of this firm, was the first person to put the wellbeing of myself and our child ahead of easy money and Steven has done a better job than every single other firm combined. He has earned every single dollar and then some. Fraud, perjury, corruption, stalking, extortion, legal kidnapping, private investigators, investigative journalists, you name it, from Malibu to Hemet, we have been through it. Again, had I initially hired Steven Fernandez, absolutely none of this would have happened. Steve has the guts and good nature to run a deep roster of gifted professionals.
