I was involved in a case and missed the court. When I received the verdict I was desperate. I called 5 different law firms to ask for help, but most of them told me they cannot help me. My colleagues recommended Jacalen's firm. They told me if there is anyone can help me in my case, her firm would be the best place in Ann Arbor area. So I went there hoping there would help me. I was lucky that Jacalen was there and she reviewed my case. She gave me some very professional advises and explained in detail how I could do for my situation. After I hired her as my lawyer in that case, she helped me solved my problem in time. After 4 months, the lawyer from another side in that case came to me again and ask money, saying I owe him about $5,000. I sent Jacalen an email ask for help, she helped me in the second day and the lawyer on the other side admit that the letter ask money from me is a mistake. She helped me again in time. And she did not charge me for this. I do appriate her quick response and very professional, honest, and thoughful service.
In this case, I can see she is a very experienced, honest, and professional lawyer. It is my lucky to have her help me.

If you want an excellent lawyer, chose attorney Benson. From experience, I learned that you need an attorney with an “aggressive” personality. I say that she is aggressive because she goes above and beyond and she keeps it real with her clients and when presenting her case. I hired her and I had sent her an email with so many questions. She got back to me on a holiday- in a timely manor. Regardless, she gets back to me in a timely manor- ALL THE TIME. The other night, she emailed me and answered my questions. We were emailing each other on and off until about 11 pm. Mind you, her office closes at 5pm. Being in the situation I am, she takes my case seriously and let’s me know everything will be okay. She is very professional and also sincere in everything that she does. I have faith in her and she has proven so much to me in a short period of time.

I don't even know where to start with the amazing and caring service I got from this firm. Deanna and Paula were absolutely amazing. Brad and his team helped me complete my divorce that had complex international and extenuating circumstances attached. Brad’s knowledge of Texas Divorce Law was second to none. He dealt with the court appearances with courtesy and grace whilst providing solid, respectful and expert counter arguments to opposing council. As a result of this my only key demand, full custody of my at risk child, was met with little opposition from opposing council. The whole team were incredible and competitively priced. Brad (and Jeff) substituted in after a long drawn out process after filing (8 months) that got virtually NOWHERE with my previous attorney because she was MIA in both response time and counsel! Not only did Brad jump in, assess the situation and the proposed agreement my spouse and I had come to (absent counsel from previous attorney). Brad thoughtfully considered and acknowledged the spirit of what we were trying to accomplish, provided insight into potential drawbacks or areas of recommended clarification and focused exclusively on clarification of language vs. exorbitant revisions to the settlement documents (to put his mark on it) that would have further delayed finalization.
He was knowledgeable, professional, responsive and diligent (as was Jeff)-I highly recommend him.

I knew I wanted to hire Brad right after my initial consultation. I was going back to court for the second time over my child possession agreement and felt like I didn't have any options. Brad came to the table with three different effective solutions and took the time to explain in detail what each one meant. We were supplied a revised document from my x that had many holes in it. Brad took the time to explain why we had to add certain notes and even the smallest detail is crucial when protecting my rights. I wrote to Lorna at the end of my 2.5-year custody battle - "Words are inadequate to express my gratefulness", and it's true. Lorna has been on my side for that long, not only as my counsel, but to me, also a friend, and a mentor.
I remember talking to a dozen attorneys who all turned down my case because of its complexity - a divorce that invovled domestic violence, dependency, immigration, and relocation - yet Lorna was the only attorney that took genuine interest in my case, and she did not even charge me for our first 2-hour consultation. She actually read through over 3000 pages of my dependency case. She always responds promptly, sometimes even after office hours, she is thorough and detailed, insightful and empathic. She remained a delightful spirit despite my ex's constant threats, harassment, and accusation directed at her.
Even though I could not continue to afford her representation toward the end of my case, and chose to represent myself in a 3-day trial, she guided me through every step to make sure I was prepared and capable. And I won, even with some extra icing on the cake I did not expect. The judge said he has not seen anyone go pro-se without an attorney and could carry out the whole trial like I did in his 14 years of experience, but I credited Lorna for her guidance. I couldn't have done it without her. She encouraged me and believed in me even when I doubted myself - unlike those lawyers on Avvo who always tell you that you are screwed if you're going to trial alone. Talking to her always made me feel better. She went above and beyond for me from beginning to end like no others, and for that I'm forever grateful for everything she has done for me.

I hired Mr Weinzierl for help with long term payment issues and child support for my son about to go to college. I am nearly 10 years post divorce with an abuser who will not stop for nothing. Rob is really calming when the ex triggers the PTSD. He knows things are upsetting but he guides with what feels like a bit of love and logic. If you have ever dealt with a truly pathological person you know how crazy they can make a legal case. There is almost nobody who understands the abuse dynamics in family law. In April I had an emergent situation come up and had to file for custody after previously not having to have an order. In addition, I was having to do so from 2 hours away. Ms. Loshinsky was great from the start. She was always prompt when returning my calls and emails and worked very hard to get the final outcome that I was hoping for. She did her best to make sure that I wasn't having to make unnecessary trips to and from Wilmington, etc. I know that during this process I probably drove her crazy, if I did, she never hinted at it. The mother of my child came after my family and I hard. She made accusations against my family, my friends and myself, claiming whatever she could to get full custody of our son and have a ton of restrictions put on me. I must have called at least a dozen lawyers, many of whom were either not accepting new clients or were charging insane retainer fees. I had my consultation with Kiley shortly after contacting her firm. She was extremely professional and seemed more knowledgeable than most people I'd talked to. Since hiring Kiley, she has helped me get an order of protection against me denied, a very favorable family plan ruling and is currently helping me deal with a child support issue as DCS has the wrong information about my income. I would absolutely recommend Kiley Anderson to anyone who's in need of a family law attorney. She prepared an eloquently written and factually accurate argument. She pointed out every little inconsistency in the other parties claims, and there were a lot of them. She completely outclassed the opposing attorney and by the time she had finished talking to the judge I was simply ecstatic that I'd chosen to hire her.
Her paralegal Liz is extremely responsive and friendly. During an emergency incident on a weekend, she took my call and worked me through what the situation was and what steps I should take next. I wanted to take an opportunity to write a review for Erik Burns. He represented me in 2012 for a child custody hearing. Erik fought zealously for my rights as a parent and for my daughter, researching and working beyond the scope of his engagement. He was able to get excellent information on record, as well. I am fortunate to have had Erik as my attorney and proud to call him my friend.
Now that I am a Tulane graduate in General Legal Studies and a competent paralegal, I can intelligently comment and praise Erik in his professionalism and efforts. He wrote an amazing motion and was very thorough in his details covering the facts and enumerating the legal issues at hand before the court. Even though we lost, it wasn't because Erik wasn't awesome, didn't do his job or because he dropped the ball. It was because we had a prejudiced judge, plain and simple. And sadly, that happens, but losing does NOT deter me from confidently recommending Erik or from praising his valiant efforts. A non-biased judge would have made a different call.

We retained Katrin to obtain Grandparent's visitation rights to our grandchildren. Katrin first outlined a course of action to avoid going to court if possible. When that failed, she advised us as to the best way to be successful, with realistic expectations. The was empathetic to our situation and kept us appraised of the progress or lack thereof. She also was good at working with the opposing attorney, reaching a good compromise with the parent we were having difficulty with. While always professional, she also was very understanding and helpful in her dealings with my wife and me.

Stacy took a very stressful and certainly unfamiliar situation and explained every step in a comforting way. She was so kind and patient with me, helping me understand the processes.
