I would highly recommend Mr. Odimba For anything dealing with family practice. What I enjoyed was that he stayed on top of everything and if there were any big concerns dealing with the other side he would let me know what's going on and suggest the best route to take. Mr. Odimba was very personable and I felt that he truly had my best interest in mind when it came to negotiating my parenting plan. Jillian represented me throughout my entire divorce. She advocated, listened and was extremely patient during a time I literally felt crazy. She kept me centered and focused on the facts. Jillian assisted me with a divorce/custody case for nearly a year, and I have nothing but praise for her! She is timely in her responses to questions, genuinely cares about her clients, and is extremely knowledgeable in her fields of practice. As a father, I was very cautious in my hiring decision when legal representation became necessary, due to fighting an uphill battle against mother-bias in the Washington State judicial system. Jillian was able to offer me advice, guidance, and expertise in all aspects of my case, constantly giving me hope and confidence that I would not be left with nothing by the court. She never made promises that she could not keep, and was always straightforward and honest with me when dealing with the various scenarios that played out during my case. Jillian is distinctly professional and we didn't miss a single vital deadline during my case thanks to her!
Now about the cost. Honestly, I was put off by it at first. I met with about a dozen attorneys who were both more and less expensive to hire, but you are getting every penny's worth by hiring Jillian. She is truly worth her rate and more, and I couldn't imagine where I would be if I had not invested in her!
In summary, I have nothing but respect for Jillian, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again if my legal needs fell in her realm of practice. She helped me get far beyond what I would have gotten with another lawyer, let alone if I had fought the case by myself. Jillian is wonderful! She represented me for over three years; first for a dissolution of marriage, and then for a petition for modification of custody/parenting plan. Her experience, rationality, and focus have produced excellent results. She is exceptional in the courtroom by being well-prepared and very quick on her feet.
I've found Jillian to have great attention to detail and foresight. She often would recall something relevant and useful that I had overlooked. My case was lengthy and complicated. From the beginning she set a clear path and expectations for me. If there were changes during the process she would adjust those expectations and clearly communicate them to me. Jillian and her office have always kept me well informed and quickly responded to my questions and concerns. They’re efficient and trustworthy.

Mr. Paris represented me in both criminal and civil matters stemming from domestic issues. In the criminal case, his investigation and pre-trial prep were thorough. During the preliminary hearings, he presented all options and recourses, with all possible outcomes, allowing me to make an educated decision about my future. At trail, he was eloquent and able to change tact with newly presented information to achieve an acquittal. The civil case was long and drawn out. I'm sure many cases that stem from domestic issues have a lot of emotion involved. Mr. Paris was again able to explain the situation clearly, toning down the knee-jerk emotions of his client, present all the options, and be a consultant to help me again make educated decisions. His pre-trail prep work was again thorough and rigorous. I cannot speak to his conduct during a civil trial, as this case was concluded in arbitration. Sean is honest and trustworthy. If I ever need legal services again, he will be my first call.

After being put in the position of having to hire a criminal defense attorney, luckily I hired Sean. I found that he believed in my innosence and went above and beyond to prove it and my case was ultimately dismissed. His legal knowledge, courtroom presence and client support proved invaluable. If you need an attorney to be on your side he's the one. Just be prepared for blatantly honest answers and opinions from him. Kristine's knowledge of Alabama law and expertise as a family law attorney is apparent the moment you meet. Her previous training and years of experience prepared her well for the practice of law. She provided legal research for institutions like the Alabama Secretary of State Elections Division and Alabama Law Institute, served as a law clerk for One Place Family Justice Center, and taught undergraduate students at Auburn University.
Kristine is patient and resourceful, organized, attentive to details, service-oriented, and passionate about helping people. This is further evidenced by her participation in the "Ask a Lawyer" forum, a free service provided by Avvo.
As someone who thought the only difference between a briefcase and a case brief is the former is used to tote the latter, I found it rewarding and stimulating to collaborate with an attorney like Kristine.

Maria handled my messy divorce and 5 years of residual issues in a concise manner with knowledge, fairness (to all parties involved) and with a calmness that help me get though those difficult years. I can't begin to express how amazing Maria was in handling my case. I filed for divorce in August of 2009 and my ex-wife immediately began an unimaginable mud-slinging campaign in an effort to gain sole custody of our children. I wanted to reply in kind and engage in that battle to refute all the lies my ex was putting forth. But, Maria had a great game plan which she came up with after our first court appearance. We would simply stick to the facts. At first, it was difficult to sit back and let my character be assassinated time and time again. However, it was very easy to trust the strategy that Maria had in place.
There were several times during my case that the outlook seemed bleak. I would get uptight, panicked or nervous. Maria was always there to explain the divorce process and tell me why we need to maintain our strategy. She was always available to answer any question, no matter how trivial it might have been. She would explain in detail why things were relevant to the court. Even if I had naïve questions like as why they were relevant, Maria explained how my course of action be in my best interests (and the best interests of my children) and how my actions would work in my favor in the long run. To say she has a firm grasp on divorce law and the entire divorce process would be a vast understatement.
It is now October of 2010 and my case has just concluded. I’m absolutely convinced Maria is part soothsayer. Her strategy played out exactly as we had discussed back in 2009. The custody evaluation worked out in my favor, just as Maria said it would. The judge saw through the mudslinging of my ex and focused on the facts, just as Maria said she would. While there are no winners in a divorce, I feel truly vindicated that I stuck to my convictions (thanks to Maria’s guidance) and the judge ruled very heavily in my favor.
This was the first instance I needed a lawyer for more than one day. I am absolutely elated that I chose Maria Maier to be that lawyer. Her expertise and guidance helped me through a very difficult transition in my life. I wouldn’t wish a divorce on anybody, but I would highly recommend Maria to anyone who needs an expert lawyer on their side should they find themselves facing a divorce.

I have struggled with finding the right attorney for years hired 3 others before I found Mr. Thomas. He got me my divorce in under a year! This was no easy task my ex had his brother defending him so he had the luxury of no attorney fees and I have 3 children. I was always getting threatened by the other party to take my money , but Bruce was there there to let them know they had no grounds and I felt like I had someone on my side for the first time. Divorce is not any easy thing but having an attorney like Bruce made a little bit better. I am also using his services for child custody and again he is doing an excellent job of making sure my child’s welfare is being protected.

I was charged with a DUI and looking at a record and possible jail time. Mr. Thomas was able to step in with only one day to prepare, discover evidence, and represent me in court. I had been dealing with a prolonged mediated divorce process that was nearing 3 years when Sandy came on and took my case (following the retirement of my previous attorney - yes it took THAT long lol). I hired Kristen in 2008 when I filed for divorce. She led the fight in the complicated mess that I was involved in due to multiple businesses and real estate holdings that my X and I had acquired. My partner and had our children ripped from us without warning. It was a complicated and not a common case for any attorney - especially in a conservative state and city like Houston, TX. The odds were stacked up against us from the moment our children were taken away from our home by the other party. One lawyer we consulted with told us straight up and forward, " You will not win. She will win; but you can try and give it a shot". This partcular lawyer had 25 years experience in family law. Needless to say, we were not surprised. We understood this case wasn't for any everyday lawyer. Our case required a skilled, talented, and confident lawyer. A lawyer with a combination of experience and natural ability and skills set to work this case.

Avvo can be deceiving… but I’m tell you right now.. this man is a 10! Me and my ex were ready to go to war after her attorney had her forcefully take my kid from my mom when I was at work and not give her back. Mr. Patton showed up at court and immediately.. you could tell that he was more concerned about our child. He was somehow able to get us all out of there feeling like neither of us lost and that Violet won.
