An attorney friend ours referred us to Mark Gatesman because of his membership in the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorney’s. We hired Mark to help us with our son, a minor, who foolishly got into trouble. Mark assured us he could resolve the matter without our son having a criminal record. In a time of anxiety and uncertainty, Mark was able to answer all our questions. In Court Mark was able to get the case completely dismissed. Mark Gatesman represented me when I was sued in a professional capacity as a Realtor, a potential buyer was injured during a showing. Mark was able to explain the entire litigation process to me, which helped with the fear and anxitety that comes with being sued. Mark assured me that he would resolve the lawsuit to my satisfaction. Unfortunately when you are in a position to have to hire a lawyer it isn't a good thing. After meeting with James "Rhino" Doerr it was apparent that he walked softly but his knowledge & demeanor was powerful. He listened to my concerns, informed me of what my options where and was patient because. I hired Mr.Ringstrom, Sr. to handle a legal matter involving my husband and a legal issue. Mr. Ringstrom was amazing! His professional knowledge of the Department of Corrections and his willingness to think outside the box resulted in a successful resolution of my husband’s criminal issue. Maria handled my messy divorce and 5 years of residual issues in a concise manner with knowledge, fairness (to all parties involved) and with a calmness that help me get though those difficult years. I can't begin to express how amazing Maria was in handling my case. I filed for divorce in August of 2009 and my ex-wife immediately began an unimaginable mud-slinging campaign in an effort to gain sole custody of our children. I wanted to reply in kind and engage in that battle to refute all the lies my ex was putting forth. But, Maria had a great game plan which she came up with after our first court appearance. We would simply stick to the facts. At first, it was difficult to sit back and let my character be assassinated time and time again. However, it was very easy to trust the strategy that Maria had in place.
There were several times during my case that the outlook seemed bleak. I would get uptight, panicked or nervous. Maria was always there to explain the divorce process and tell me why we need to maintain our strategy. She was always available to answer any question, no matter how trivial it might have been. She would explain in detail why things were relevant to the court. Even if I had naïve questions like as why they were relevant, Maria explained how my course of action be in my best interests (and the best interests of my children) and how my actions would work in my favor in the long run. To say she has a firm grasp on divorce law and the entire divorce process would be a vast understatement.
It is now October of 2010 and my case has just concluded. I’m absolutely convinced Maria is part soothsayer. Her strategy played out exactly as we had discussed back in 2009. The custody evaluation worked out in my favor, just as Maria said it would. The judge saw through the mudslinging of my ex and focused on the facts, just as Maria said she would. While there are no winners in a divorce, I feel truly vindicated that I stuck to my convictions (thanks to Maria’s guidance) and the judge ruled very heavily in my favor.
This was the first instance I needed a lawyer for more than one day. I am absolutely elated that I chose Maria Maier to be that lawyer. Her expertise and guidance helped me through a very difficult transition in my life. I wouldn’t wish a divorce on anybody, but I would highly recommend Maria to anyone who needs an expert lawyer on their side should they find themselves facing a divorce.

I have struggled with finding the right attorney for years hired 3 others before I found Mr. Thomas. He got me my divorce in under a year! This was no easy task my ex had his brother defending him so he had the luxury of no attorney fees and I have 3 children. I was always getting threatened by the other party to take my money , but Bruce was there there to let them know they had no grounds and I felt like I had someone on my side for the first time. Divorce is not any easy thing but having an attorney like Bruce made a little bit better. I am also using his services for child custody and again he is doing an excellent job of making sure my child’s welfare is being protected.

I was charged with a DUI and looking at a record and possible jail time. Mr. Thomas was able to step in with only one day to prepare, discover evidence, and represent me in court. With his ability to put together the pieces of that night, and understand the conflict from my point of view he was able to successfully defend my rights as a citizen. I had been dealing with a prolonged mediated divorce process that was nearing 3 years when Sandy came on and took my case (following the retirement of my previous attorney - yes it took THAT long lol). Sandy picked right up where my previous attorney left off and was extremely proactive in closing out the open items and communicating with my ex's lawyer (who was very difficult to deal with). I had a different attorney for a year and three months and my divorce was just dragging on and on. Based upon a friends recommendation I hired Ms. Lomenzo and the divorce was resolved in a month and a half. Ms. Lomenzo always responded promptly via email, telephone or zoom. Going back 20 or so years, I have occasionally consulted with Chris on a variety of matters. His viewpoint and advice is "to the point" without lapsing into legalese and jargon, and he is efficient. Most of all, I like that in addition to framing the conversation in legal terms, he applies common sense and sensitivity to the situation.
I just feel he has the eye on getting the particular matter solved, rather than have his eye on the billing clock.

I was very happy to have found William Bickerton and have hired him for my Defense attorney. His services were priced well and he actually seemed to care about the predicament that I was in. I hired Kristen in 2008 when I filed for divorce. She led the fight in the complicated mess that I was involved in due to multiple businesses and real estate holdings that my X and I had acquired. Kristen was extremely well prepared at every turn of the case, always ready with answers for the opposition and/or the court. Jack Abel was my primary attorney for my divorce and I could not ask for anything more.
Jack has been doing family law for 40 years and he knew every dirty trick that would be tried before the other side tried it. He researched the other side's attorney, knew that attorney would be super aggressive, and he basically judo'ed them to make them look unreasonable (they were unreasonable) which made the other side almost weak in negotiating.
I felt like we were a step ahead of the other side every step of the way - Jack would tell me when to bring pictures in, when to bring family in, when to look my tip top best, what the hangups were and how we would handle them - he knew where we wanted to go, and he got us there a step ahead the entire time.
Jack is a soft spoken man, slow to speak and eager to listen, a real example of wisdom. As quiet as Jack is, he has a team of absolute pitbulls around him - they go in and do the negotiations during the phase when nobody wants to give an inch, then every few sessions he would come in, a 40 year legend in the courthouse, and make an offer that the other side just couldn't refuse - and we would land exactly where he said we would. It was the perfect dichotomy and the results speak for themselves.
At settlement, I had talked to my ex in private and walked back a few of the concessions that Abel and Zocolo had gotten for me. I was so satisfied that I actually gave up ground, which meant I got everything that I wanted AND was able to part ways amicably from a tough battle. A truce which lasts to this day - and was worth the give back in spades. It would not have been
possible without that aura of quiet power that followed Jack when he walked into a room. The type of lawyers the other side had would have run over any average attorney - Jack was really the difference that made them know things would not go well with their unreasonable demands if they actually went into a full hearing. I won't even say some of what Jack told me - but this man has handshake power in Cleveland.
Jack, Lori and the entire Team at Abel and Zocolo are everything a great team of lawyers should be - and they actually cared about me as a person, they listened to my story, and they adjusted their tactics to leverage my strengths - and it worked perfectly. Angelina provided excellent counsel during my divorce proceedings. She discussed and reviewed all of my options in great detail, which was especially important to me regarding placement of my children. I especially apprecaited that she presented all options, with the pros and cons and likelyhood of success, without leading in me in one direction or another. I appreciated having the information to make the decision instead of having it made for me. It left me with the confidence that I chose the best available path forward.
In writing the agreement, she anticipated a number of areas that needed to be covered in the agreement that later proved to be critical.
In addition, her billing was very fair and accurate. Although I was the plaintiff and she did most of the work (initial complaint, wrote entire agreement and entered the order) her bill was smaller than my ex-wife's attorney's bill, which represented only a fraction of the effort of Angelina's work.
Lastly, going through a divorce, especially with small children involved, can be very emotional. She dealt well with my occasional emotion state by acknowledging my concerns and then calmly discussing the path forward.

Andrew is an extremely effective attorney. I started out with a different attorney for my difficult child custody case. I did not feel that my prior attorney had my best interest in mind and was doing only the bare minimum in preparing my case. I decided to seek other representation.
I hired Andrew very late in the process, with my TPA hearing only 2 weeks away. Andrew was able to put together a very solid and sensible case based on the facts, far superior to what was done previously for me.
Right away, I noticed a dramatic difference in the way Andrew was handling and preparing my case, compared to my previous attorney. I was extremely impressed with how quickly Andrew got up to speed and reviewed/prepared all of the evidence in such a short amount of time. He is organized and stays on top of everything. Andrew has been a huge blessing and supporter in my case! I spoke to him in a consultation a couple of months prior to my separation and he took his time and listened and took notes of everything that I said to him. I was a wreck after being surprised one evening by someone at my door serving me a petition to modify the custody arrangement my ex and I agreed to just a year prior. As a single father fighting to keep primary custody of my two children I knew the odds were stacked against me. I had a really bad situation come up involving my child and the spouse of their maternal aunt’s. It was an absolute emergency situation for them. I raised issues with their mother to try to come up with a game plan to keep our child safe only to have her and her entire family treat me as though this was a fabrication. It was obvious at that moment I needed a lawyer and I started making calls…one call actually to Hiba.
She gave me some advice over the phone and I hired her the next day. She moved very quickly, filed ex parte emergency change of custody and within the week my child was safe in my home.
We did proceed with a RFO for a custody change due to the fact my child’s mother and their family continued to protect the perpetrator, and after that hearing my child was in my primary physical custody.
This all happened very very quickly and I would have been at a complete loss without Hiba. She saved my child from a very bad situation and protected me along the way. She answered every question I had (even the ones that didn’t need to be addressed and stemmed from anxiety over the situation) and was kind courteous and a complete champion for us.

I called Ms Benny’s office for the first time on a Thursday morning. Tom, the man that answered the phone was thorough and professional, took my information, confirmed my case was something the office could handle, and gave me instructions to get documentation to the office for the attorney to review and call me back for the free consultation. Ms Benny called promptly when she said she would and had clearly familiarized herself with the details of my case to make the best use of the free consultation hour. During the consultation she helped explain to us how things worked in court, that we had not been aware of before, and offered solutions for my case that I wasn’t even aware were possible. We decided to hire her.
The hearing in my case was only six days away, but Me Benny and her staff got to work immediately. They were able to negotiate a settlement with opposing counsel that I believe best protected all parties involved. She and her staff are caring, very knowledgeable, and very efficient. While they are not the least expensive attorneys in the area, they are worth every penny. I hired Hiba last year to represent me during my divorce and child custody battle.
To be honest, none of that was good, especially for a single dad in the state of California. That being said, Hiba did a great job at keeping me accountable and ensuring I did what I needed to do on my end, which would allow her to do what she needed to in order to best help me while encouraging me throughout this difficult process.
There was a lot of really good communication, And I know Hiba mitigated a lot of potential negatives from happening to me with just how aggressive and thorough her approach was.
I know I wasn’t the easiest client...there was a lot of pressure and stress that came along with the circumstances... but I think what separates Hiba from other attorneys, is the level of customer service, honesty and empathy that I saw from her while going through all of that.

I hired Mr. Colllins for my child support modification. I am happy that I hired Mr. Collins. He got right to work with a pending deadline to respond, and listened to all my cares and concerns and voiced them for me at court. I've been to court for this same exact reason before without representation, and I know for a fact the outcome would've been different without Mr. Collins. Carla is kind, professional, and smart. She helped me get out of my bad marriage during the height of covid with grace and intelligence. She was absolutely a rock when they tried to pull some shady things, like stealing all my stimulus checks and trying to make me share my husbands extremely high credit card debt. I hired Carla Halpern to assist me with a no contest divorce. She was clear about what to expect, made the process much less petrifying than I'd thought possible, and I felt confident with her on my side.
We experienced a complication when my ex moved to Asia and failed on a part of his divorce obligations. Without leverage to work with in terms of international law, Ms. Halpern deftly managed to help me get him to make good on those obligations.

Robert Borsky pulled it in, got control, then got it done, instead of taking me for a ride. My only regret besides having to go through this travesty called “Family Law”, is not engaging Robert Borsky from the very beginning.”
My divorce took 6 long years to finish from February 2008 to January 2014.
Seven attorneys later, it was the divorce from hell that would not end.
Having to thank the corrupted “Industry” of California Family Law for that, too much time, energy and all of my resources were completely wasted, only to see my entire family become the victims.
I’ve experienced the “super attorney” who was only super at keeping me on the clock as they dragged their feet with delay after delay, only to satisfy their own financial interests, to the attorney who was very hard working and honest but lacked courtroom savvy/experience and the ability to get things done.
The other five attorneys were everything else in between.
My case was a train running out of control because of bad and/or dishonest representation (or lack of).
I met Robert Borsky at a workshop he was heading in 2008 that offered assistance to those who wanted to educate themselves on the subject and process of divorce.
I liked his workshop and message and decided to give him a call after being betrayed and abandoned by attorney number 6.
My brief experience with Mr. Borsky was a very positive one.
Besides being very accessible, he was always well prepared in our meetings both in and out of court and would exercise his ability to collaborate and contribute good ideas which complimented his knowledge of family law and my case.
Always fair and honest and fully engaged, he also shared a sensitivity level that really helped me rebuild my confidence towards a resolution to my case especially after six laborious years of litigation.
Additionally, he had no problem exercising his bravado in court or asserting himself when dealing with the rouge antics of opposing counsel.
In short, I was represented.
