I hired Mark Losee at Dunkley Law to help me with a dog bite injury suffered when a new neighbor's 2 pit bulls attacked me and my dog Casper. I have found them to be fair in their contracts, making sure they do not get a bigger part of the settlement than me. We all know lawyers can be expensive, and 90% of the time it is WELL worth it. Dennis spoke very professionally and was very informative at all times. I am writing to express my gratitude for the outstanding handling of my son's case by Dr. Manley and his team. Five plus years ago I began an effort to seek justice for my injured son in hope (in addition to financial compensation for Christopher and his siblings) that the physicians responsible for my son's injuries would be more aware of the relevant medical issues when responsible for care involving pregnancies like Christopher's. I believe Dr. Manley and his team accomplished this goal.
Searching for an appropriate attorney/firm to handle Chris' case was challenging. I encountered a variety of issues. I had prominent New Hampshire based firms state that Defendants in Christopher's case "never settle cases". It is my experience as a Corporate Attorney that firms with reputations for not wanting to litigate are seldom offered attractive settlements.
My perception was that many of the New Hampshire based firms appeared to have conflicts of interest having had the Defendants provide medical care to their colleagues/employees, although these firms were not always forthcoming when addressing this issue.
I had a "high-powered" Massachusetts firm opine that our case was "not win-able"
I eventually realized I needed to search outside New Hampshire for a firm with a reputation, financial resources, and attorneys willing to litigate every case in which it was necessary. As the old English metaphorical idiom goes, I realized I needed an "Elephant in the room" and/or "an eight-hundred-pound gorilla in the room". As I understand it, Defendants tried to bring in their own out-of-state, high-powered litigator (their "Elephant in the room") and when he was unavailable for our trial date, and the Judge had had enough of Defendants' typical delaying tactics, Defendants decided to acknowledge they were no match for our "Elephant in the room", Dr. Manley and your firm. So the reputation for Defendants in Christopher's case being unwilling to settle cases was overcome in Christopher's case. I am of the opinion that Dr. Manley's many years of experience as an actively practicing OB/GYN physician when utilized in questioning Defendants and Defendants' expert witnesses during depositions contributed significantly to Defendants' decision to make a "last minute" settlement offer.
I am eternally grateful for Dr. Manley's and your firm's efforts on our children's behalf.

Giles handled our wrongful death lawsuit involving our infant son. His medical expertise was a huge advantage in our case since the evidence and witnesses involved were incredibly specialized. I’m a 36-year-old software engineer living in the Midwest. Most of my early life I never had good credit. 3 months ago my credit scores were 580 low 600s. I was a passenger in a vehicle that was struck by another vehicle that ran a stop sign. I was hurt badly. The company that was insuring the vehicle I was in was giving me the run around, while the insurance company of the at fault driver was completely ignoring me. I needed help fast. A friend of mine suggested Wattel and York, so with hesitation I sent off an email. Within literally 5 minutes I received a phone call. Much to my surprise it was the attorney’s office, and not just a paralegal or legal assistant. The ACTUAL attorney called me and discussed my case! I went in the following day for a consultation and they took my case. Throughout the whole process, all I can say is how wonderful this firm is. From their legal assistants and paralegals all the way up the lawyers themselves. They’re timely and accurate in their communication, whether it is over email or telephone. I could call and talk with the attorney anytime, and they would drop what they were currently doing to answer any questions I had. My fear and despondency disappeared with sweet release as I read the demand letter that Michael York sent to the insurance companies. It was extremely well written and was “matter of fact” in its demands. The insurance companies paid out in full all that was requested from the demand letter without hesitation. Thankfully, I've led a benign life. I learned when I was very young from my wise parents that life by itself is difficult enough without negatively encountering the law. I went to college with those who became attorneys, and have known attorneys through working for charities we had in common, but I never needed legal representation until I was nearly 65 years old.
It was a horrific traffic accident I was in nearly three years ago that first caused me to find and secure an attorney. There were several that urged me to contact the firm Wattell & York, one friend, having been in the same circumstance years ago, saying, “You don't stand a chance against the insurance companies. Its against their best interest and bottom line that they pay out claims of any size to anyone.”
My first conversation after registering was with Michael York, one of the general partners of the firm. He took his time explaining in layman's terms the course ahead, then invited me to contact him at any time I had a question, concern, or thought. He was terrific and put any trepidations I had to rest. And my confidence in he and his team only grew as my case unfolded. When complexities arose, and they always do, I was so impressed and appreciative of his long and detailed correspondence, clearly articulating options.

I had a significant problem with a large auto insurance company in paying labor rates at a recommended auto body shop. After 9 months of squabbling including a demand letter from an attorney, I was referred to Mr. York.

It’s 2020. We were in a pandemic AND we had a stalker problem. On the advice of responding law enforcement officers to yet another harassment report, we submitted petitions for Protection from Stalking to the court. We clearly didn’t know what we were doing because we were unsuccessful in obtaining temporary orders. We were feeling vulnerable and afraid in our own home and we needed legal advice. David J Brown came highly recommended by multiple people familiar with our situation with this caveat: “He isn’t cheap but he is worth every dime.”
My husband and I wanted to know the following: Did we have a legitimate case? How could we most effectively represent ourselves at the hearing? Would our evidence stand up in court?
David listened carefully to our concerns, reviewed our material evidence, and assured us that we should indeed seek Protection Orders. He helped us feel prepared to represent ourselves in court. He advised us to seek a continuance should the stalker appear with an attorney so that we had time to retain counsel.
We retained David J. Brown to represent us. It took an entire year before our case was fully tried. David helped us obtain temporary orders midway through the year. The stalker continued to harass us and the residents of our small rural community. Because we had temporary orders, the stalker was charged with contempt and criminal violations of the protection orders. His criminal trial is still pending. Once our case was finally fully tried in court, we were able to obtain Final Orders of Protection from Stalking and begin our healing process.
Ours was a highly unusual and difficult case rife with challenges the likes of which none had ever seen before. Not only did David J Brown set legal precedence during the course of our highly stressful and unusual year, he did it during a pandemic! Talk about unforeseen difficulties requiring creative solutions on the fly! Zoom court anyone?
We got to know David over the course of our very difficult year. He was highly responsive to our needs and the demands of our case.
