The Patent process can be scary, expensive and frustrating. It is well published that patent approval could take three to six years and there is no guarantee of success. However, our experience has been the complete opposite of that trend ….. largely due to Brian’s hard work with my little technology company over the past five years.
To date we have received five patents from the USPTO and have the like amount pending with the USPTO. Putting aside Brian’s vast experience and knowledge on the patent process, Brian’s greatest contribution to our process has been his ability to first, listen to what I am trying to accomplish and then have the courage to disagree with me if he feels that we are going down the wrong path. This is a quality that provides my company a sense of comfort and allows for more discussion and collaboration.
In summary, Brian’s “hands on approach” has greatly benefited my company and I recommend his services to anyone that is looking for this quality when choosing the proper patent attorney.

Dr. Vepachedu is one of the best patent attorneys in the country who counseled me through every step in submitting my patent to the USPTO where each embodiment in the patent was strengthened by the claims Rao wrote that covered every angle making it strong enough to be secured, maintained, and protected once it issues. I've worked with a few patent attorneys over the years and have yet to find anyone even close to having the prepared knowledge as Rao has when it comes to the preparation experience of taking a persons in-depth technical patent like mine and bringing it to life.

Rao is a born IP lawyer. He is extremely intellectual and curious of various areas of life. My patent relates to classical music and mechanical aspects of violins and violas. I did not expect him to be interested in musical instruments, because of his vast experience in pharmaceutical industry. But he was curious and willing to learn. He is also confident and has a fighting spirit. My patent application was first rejected as many expected, but he submitted a response with such concrete proof that it was granted.

I had three very bad experiences with previous lawyers. I did a lot of research before I called Sam. Key to me calling him was the content of the other reviews found here. As it turns out I didn't actually retain his services--in large part due to the fact that he was honest and forthright enough to explain that his area of comfort and expertise was actually not what I needed. He spoke to me for a significant amount of time over the phone while extremely ill. He called a peer to refer me to and actually called me back with that information just like he said he would. Even though I didn't actually hire him I would highly recommend him. He was extremely personal, respectful, compassionate and H.O.N.E.S.T. And as a complete laginappe--he's from Mississippi. Steven was always very accommodating and helpful with his thoughts when we discussed the steps involved with patenting our invention. He showed depth of knowledge and expertise on this subject, and was able to properly forecast the actions of our Examiner before we even received the USPTO's formal replies.
Steven is consistently prompt in replying to my queries, no matter the time of day, and we always have a very pleasant rapport. We hired Adam to assist us with starting our new business. Adam met with us to help us understand the types of corporations and what worked best for us. He worked with us on our operating agreement and walked us through the entire trademark process including warning us about scams that may show up afterward (and they did!). Adam also reviewed and recommended changes to the terms and conditions and privacy policies for our website. Our business is food and agriculture-based, and he assisted us to find other resources we needed to ensure we comply with VA law. He's responsive, knowledgeable and professional. We even hired him to help us write a contract for our nanny. If we need a lawyer we call Adam. Don't tell him I said this, but I'd probably pay him more for the service he provides.

My wife and I launched a new vegan food business in May of 2018. Our first product went on the shelves and sold out quickly. We had waited for our first reorder before shelling out the money from our shoestring budget to register our Trademark at the USPTO. Huge mistake!
Some person applied at the USPTO for our Trademark just after our product went on the shelves, and two days before we attempted to apply. We learned a bit later, after some investigation, that they had no products, nor any legitimate proof that they actually intended to use the Trademark.
We quickly hired Jackson and he wrote them a cease and desist letter. Their attorney notified us if we paid them $15,000, they would be happy to withdrawal their application and go away. Your classic shakedown.
