Tonya Gibbs Penn is the exception, not the rule. Not only did she have tremendous compassion with our case, but she also proved to be a brilliant attorney who demonstrates a true interest in her clients and their cases.
We live in Nashville and wanted someone to represent us who would really care about our case. Trust was an important factor because our case was in Virginia and we’re in Tennessee, about ten hours from court.
Ms. Penn not only made sure that we understood the specifics of our current case, but she also explained what we would need to expect going forward. She never ignored any communication or kept us guessing. She was forthright and highly responsive.
More importantly, no one else would’ve been so willing to peel back the layers of the case and ask the questions that she asked in order to get the best information to help us better prepare for the future.

I had a ticket for reckless driving (rockbridge). After listening my case , Mr Taylor made a perfect assessment w/o false expectation nor overstatement. He assigned to me different actions and followed up with me directly o through his team. I have been working for months with him and his team to have the best outcome possible from the court case. I was cited with reckless driving for a minor accident in a rest stop on I-81 in Smyth Co. and needed local expertise, as I have never before had to appear in court and live 6 hours away in Northern Virginia. Mr. Coale was professional, prepared and well acquainted with the local process. Jeff Coale handled my case and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. I was charged with reckless driving which carries a heavy sentence if convicted. I needed an attorney to represent me. I live in SC. Mr. Coale was reassuring but not presumptuous about the likelihood of the court lowering or even dropping the charge. He gave me clear steps to follow to provide him with materials to support his argument in court. I think that his fee is worth every penny I spent. I paid 3x the price for Jeff’s help and received 5x the care — I also received an excellent outcome by doing a lot of preemptive work per Jeff’s recommendation. If you can afford his experience, knowledge, and help — I would be shocked if you’re anything but fully satisfied with his end of things. David Bice and his legal team were invaluable in a complicated legal case surrounding my daughter. David worked with me in a collaborative procedure against a team (ex+attorney) who did not play by the rules and in fact were threatening and manipulative and didn't keep to their agreements. After the dust cleared, I did end up getting stuck with support payments, but there was at least an endpoint. David did acknowledge after the fact, when he began to hear more reports about my ex's lawyer, that if he'd been more aware of his reputation as not working in the spirit of Collaborative Procedure, he never would have advised me to go in that direction. The only problem with our arrangement was that David's office is not in the same city. Since I'd never been divorced before, it didn't occur to me that I'd have to pay for the drive to and from the meetings (2 hours billing for each meeting), but that was just my mistake. Overall, David is a good guy and represented me faithfully and with friendship. Divorce is divorce, nobody wins, life goes on.

We hired Mr. Bice to represent us in a difficult custody hearing of our granddaughter. He was very honest in telling us the situation may not go in our favor due to us being grandparents. However, during the process, Mr Bice not only bought out circumstances in our favor but fought for us all the way. He encouraged us to do everything the court requested and he even stayed in contact with DSS and CASA representatives. He attended all meetings with us as our attorney, kept us up-to-date with any changes to the case, and returned phone calls in a prompt manner. The bottom line is that Mr. Bice did get us physical and legal custody of our granddaughter. We cannot begin to thank him for his excellent service during our time of upheaval. His court room demeanor was outstanding and the judge listened to what he presented. Even though there were a few hiccups in the beginning with how some individuals viewed us as the grandparents, Mr. Bice was able to put all their minds to rest and know our granddaughter would be taken care of and loved forever. We would hire Mr. Bice again and I'm sure we will be needing his services in the future. Thank goodness there are lawyers like Mr. Bice that you can count on in difficult situations.

I am relieved as much as I am impressed with your hard work and dedication to this case. Here is my review:
This was a false positive urinalysis case. I consulted Mr. Grover Baxley briefly over the phone. He knew which questions to ask, and gave advice even before the retainer fee was paid. At this point, he was polite, professional, but also detail-oriented on initial questioning. He outlined the lengthy military legal process, as well as his fee schedule. On paying the retainer fee, Mr. Baxley gave clear instructions on the items needed from me, including a rather detailed "Love Me" document -- basically a binder of my entire life including disciplinary actions, CVs, and accomplishments/awards.
Mr. Grover Baxley will work behind the scenes. For some people, at times, you may feel as though there is no progress in the case, and that this is all a test of patience. However, and especially on discovery of evidence, Mr. Baxley will be prepared to cross-examine -- will be prepared to use even the government's own witnesses. If you have an engaged Area Defense Counsel team, this will make your defense even stronger. Mr. Baxley will call occasionally for updates, to clarify information, and to schedule conference calls for larger updates.
In my case, Mr. Baxley arrived in the area the week before a scheduled trial. I was able to meet Mr. Baxley in person at this time, and we were able to discuss the upcoming process in depth. I was assured that my defense team was as prepared as it could be. Mr. Baxley engaged the courtroom during the trial. He strategically cross-examined and was careful with his questioning. And his closing arguments evoked in me emotions I'm sure I shared with some jury members.
Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to this case. You were blessed with an important gift in life -- a much-needed voice of defense for our service members across the country. Good luck in the rest of your journey, and give my best to your family.

If you’re where I was just 7 months ago, you’re in a bad spot, with your career, reputation, and everything else you’ve worked your butt off for in jeopardy. I searched for the BEST military lawyer upon being notified of an allegation of a positive urinalysis result for marijuana. Having never done the drug my entire life, and knowing the government wanted to bring charges against me, I knew I faced an uphill battle and long road ahead. I submitted a form, giving a brief synopsis on what I was up against, and Grover quickly called me back. Right away, I knew I had found my lawyer to defend me as I navigated this nightmare of a process. Today, I type this with an immense amount of relief, as Grover successfully won the BOI, convincing the panel members their claims were UNSUBSTANTIATED and that I had committed NO MISCONDUCT!
Being accused of something you know you didn’t do, and coming to terms with something that can have devastating, lifelong implications is horrifying, but Grover never faltered as the government made every attempt at kicking me out. This man is worth triple his price and is worth his weight in gold.
The joy and relief I feel, after being able to put this all behind me is simply indescribable. I don’t think it’s fully settled in yet that I can now put all this in my rear view mirror, and move forward with my career, along with my reputation and dignity in tact.
If you’re being charged, then you need to fight back. Not tomorrow, not now, but YESTERDAY!!! Don’t hesitate to hire Grover so he can start fighting back. He’s easily the best military lawyer, and the way he shoots the prosecution down is simply a work of art.
I owe Grover my life and am forever indebted to him. The road wasn’t easy, or quick, but as I lay here and give hope to others who find themselves in the same place I was back in March, I assure you that Grover is THE MAN for the job.

I contacted Mr. Baxley in February of 2022 after a positive urinalysis result. Not knowing how this result came to be I knew I needed an expert. I have 12 years of honorable service (active and guard) with no history of ever being in trouble. Mr. Baxley commanded the board room and after two days of the hearing, the final result was no misconduct, retained in the Air National Guard. Now I can continue to serve until retirement. I was charged with reckless driving and I tried to fight it without a lawyer and that took 3 month when the judge postponed the dates even if the officer was not present. I hired Mark and he gathered all the evidence and the date of the hearing he explained to the judge how the bureaucracy of the entire court process took my time as well as the judges and the judge threw the case and dismissed the entire charge. I was being charged with a very challenging felony and misdemeanor some years back. My situation wasn't the easiest though, at that time I was also in the process of obtaining legal status in this country and being charged with those type of charges was a definite and clear way to deportation; at least that's what the two previous two lawyers said about my case, "there is no point of fighting the case" they said, I was doomed and I was going to return to a country a barely knew...But my family and I didn't want to accept it, and so we kept trying! and I'm glad we did ! I was arrested for a DWI in the summer of 2017. Graziella was caring, supportive and 100% honest of my chances and what I needed to do to get through the charges. Sammy Kim, Tax Attorney & here legal assistant, Anna, were extremely responsive, knowledgeable and were able to walk me through a complex set of Tax, bank and even work-related issues. Everything was done rapidly and thoroughly to resolution.
I don’t spend a lot of time writing reviews, but I felt compelled in this situation. I had no idea how complex my case was going to be. I got stopped for reckless driving in Fairfax. I know that it's not the most serious offense in the world, but I was still pretty scared once I read up on it online. So I immediately did a search for traffic attorneys in Fairfax and found Mr. Ervin. He met with me for over an hour, explained how the court system handles reckless driving cases, and things that I should do prior to my case. I really think he cared about my case. We got it reduced to just a traffic infraction, so I don't have a criminal record.

Mrs. Pachuta represented me in 2015 for a heafty possession charge in Fairfax County in August 2015. After speaking with other lawyers who spoke about going to trial and some jail time or probation.
