I got a fifth owi the da wanted to give me a felony charge six months in jail three years no license and a hefty fine. I called Steve Mays he said I should have called sooner I paid him half up front and he let me make payment's for the rest which was great. Steve went to work right away I had no more court dates to attend about a year later he got rid of a prior owi so I didn't get the felony charge my fine is only 600 bucks and 45 day's jail. I'm just laughing at the da now that's a slap on the wrist. Steve was excellent to work with he took care of everything and his assistant Melissa was amazing to work with.These guys know exactly what they are doing and won't waste your money couldn't be more thrilled very happy with the way everything turned out. Definitely would recommend to anyone.

I found myself in a situation which I consider to be the darkest period of my life.
Not only was Mr. Mays able to have some of what I was charged with dropped but was also able to have the remaining charge reduced in severity to its lowest level.
More so, he advised on and helped me deal with some of the fall-out of my situation that I didn't think he was required to do.
I've heard and read of people saying that only the rich are able to afford the best legal representation but Mr. Mays, in my mind, has proven that a fallacy.
I could have paid more for much larger law firms but none of them that were available in my area even came close the reputation that Mr. Mays has now the experience he has demonstrated.
I will forever be indebted to him.

I was in my first car accident just over a year ago where i was struck by another driver and did have some injuries because of it. I was unsure of the process and was overwhelmed with all the phone calls from the clinic and the insurance company and not even sure what my rights were. I hired Pete to help me out with this traumatic event. Although this happened in 2010, I remember it as if it were yesterday. He handled my hearing with the Milwaukee Public Schools with skill and aplomb, using logical reasoning and pointed questioning. As a result my suspension was overturned at a time when the teacher's union, MTEA, was unable or unwilling to represent me in a competent, effective manner and had given up my case for lost. Justice was ultimately served when an embarrassed MPS forced my principal, who brought the case, into retirement.

We had gone through a foreclosure process with our bank over three years ago when the bank dismissed the case. After almost a year and a half with no word the bank filed again. Attorney Lavin was hired after we were unable to get the insurance company to process and pay the injury claims, which included broken bones. After many letters and phone calls, we ultimately received a "take it or leave it" offer from the insurance company. We then contacted Molly Lavin.
We are so grateful that Attorney Lavin was able to fight for us, and ultimately recover many times over their take it or leave it offer.
We are not originally from this state, and frankly we were shocked at how the insurance company conducted itself on a case that involved injuries caused by someone else, especially where children were involved. Attorney Lavin handled the process, and was outstanding in taking the extra time to help explain to us and the children what was happening during the trial preparation and ultimate negotiation process.

Kime is extremely professional and Knowledgable I definitely recommend her! I went with two previous lawyers before Kim and none of them could help me like Kime did, one of the lawyers was a top lawyer and all I got out of that was a big high bill. I talked to Kime about the situation and she was very understanding and very reasonable with her prices. I recently ended a long-term marriage and -in so doing- found myself slowly being pulled towards a contested divorce trial. My ex-spouse and I found difficulties in reaching a compromise and she was in no hurry to move the divorce forward. Further, I had little knowledge of the divorce laws, the legal processes of divorce or the court system in general as this was my first exposure to a trial. I was really out of my comfort zone in such matters.
I came to Rhonda not only for her AAML certification and extensive divorce experience but, in researching her background further, I found that she had a good record for moving cases forward. Her and her team did an absolutely outstanding job. They moved my case forward -and to its completion- expediently and with a good outcome. Further, they dealt with me with patience, understanding and great communication so that I came to a comfort level as the case progressed.
Divorce is clearly difficult and challenging for a number of reasons. I am very grateful that Rhonda was so adept at dealing with the legal aspects of my divorce so that I was able to deal with the other challenges that came with this process.

Susan Hansen came highly recommended to me, and I can appreciate why. I was going through a difficult divorce, including considerable disputes over family assets, child placement and future monies. Sue Hansen is an excellent lawyer. She possesses all the skills one would want in a lawyer, including the ability to analyse small details, a clear communication style, and a superior level of frankness/trust. But these are not the qualities that set her apart. Sue Hansen posseses a breadth of experience that allows her to see beyond the immediate situation; she has the ability to quickly establish a context.
Sue asked me to step back and re-frame my situation. Sue wanted me to 'not live in reaction to,' but rather to focus on constructing a better future for both myself and my children. After a few meetings, she was able to understand my ex spouse's motivations and approach. Sue was quick to adjust our plan when it became apparent that we were reaching a roadblock. She was continiously working to keep the process moving forward. Sue was also willing to not budge on factors that I considered to be of the highest priority; I greatly valued her steadfastness.
Sue Hansen possesses this incredible gift of being comforting, but also firm with her clients. She helps her clients see what is best for all members involved. She not only was working on negotiating with my ex spouse and her legal team, but just as importantly, Sue was helping me to negotiate with my various selves-- the emotional, the analytical, the defiant, the uncertain. She helped me stay on course and never did I feel like I was involved in a hopeless battle of wills.
Her philosophical approach is matched only by her outstanding strategic mind. Despite numerous challenges, Sue was able to help formulate a final agreement that was livable, fair and put my children in the best position possible. I am stepping away from one of my most heartfelt tragedies with a sense of hope for my own future and for my children. I do not believe this conclusion would have been possible with any lawyer other than Sue Hansen.

We're a nonprofit that uses subcontractors to teach workshops and provide storytelling coaching, and over the years, we've developed a good deal of intellectual property such as workshop templates and handouts. Our subcontractors also have access to things such as survey results and participant contact information, so we determined that we should have a subcontractor agreement in place. I reached out to Andrea, and after meeting with me to discuss the specifics, she drafted an agreement which we are now starting to use. She was super helpful throughout the process, answering my many questions with not just the "what" but also the "why". It's a huge relief to have this new tool that will help protect the org's proprietary information - and set clear expectations with our contractors. Niccole is an amazing attorney and I would highly recommend her. My case drug out for 3 years with lots of things that don't normally happen in a criminal case. I started out with several false allegations including two felonies and several other misdemeanors. I had a very kind lawyer starting but soon realized that being kind was not going to cut it. Not only that but I could never reach her and felt as though my case was being left on the desk.
Chris was recommended to me by the WI State Bar. I first contacted him when seeking representation for a civil suit resulting from false allegations that I was currently fighting. I soon learned that Chris was not just another "money hungry" big city lawyer..I began hours of research before calling him and soon decided to give him a call. He sat down with me at no cost and was straight forward with the seriousness of the alleged charges. What started out to be just a consultation about a possible civil suit turned into a substitute of counsel of Chris for my previous lawyer in my criminal case as well.
I am a VERY demanding client, especially in the situation I was in and Chris kept me 100% informed and took every last one of my concerns into careful consideration. At our first consultation we all felt more at ease. He was in the confident driver’s seat, ready, carefully listening to our horrific, terrifying story. When I say us it’s because our case involved a TBI client which resulted from an automobile accident that claimed the lives of 3 beautiful children. All of which were a part of our family, and she was the driver of the car. A year or more after the accident the state decided to press charges. The more meetings we had with Attorney Nelson the more our confidence grew. We realized Aaron’s Defense had our lives in their hands. It didn’t take long to fully know every decision he handed his client were thought through, researched and weighed out.
A week long trial ended up being 3 days. Everyone was in awe as they watched his defense team in action. It’s always horrifying during a trial and waiting for a jury verdict, but having this whole defense team taking over gave us all a sense of calmness. I know we wouldn’t have felt like this with any other firm. Jury deliberation took 2 hours with a unanimous not guilty on all counts. Even if the outcome would have went a different way for some unknown reason we would have felt the same way about Nelson Defense. They are a team. Once you are a part of it and see how this team operates and performs you know they give 100%

I hired Aaron Nelson after I was charged with two felonies. Aaron talked with me about my case for free. Others wanted $10,000 prior to meeting with me. Aaron explained everything I needed to know about about my case to me. We agreed on a price and I hired him. He explained how long the case might take and the difficulties the prosecution would have in proving me guilty. His belief in me saved my life as I was suicidal at the time. I needed to hear that someone would fight for me. Aaron gave me two options in paying him. He said the case may take two years or more but no matter how long it took, he would not ask for any more money. Aaron questioned some of the "evidence" against me and three weeks later, after my accuser admitted to lying about everything, the charges were dropped. Te judge was reluctant to expunge my record but Aaron was able to convince the judge that it would be a travesty of justice to allow my arrest to remain on my record. He also did something that I will be eternally grateful for. He gave me a refund. I told him that per our agreement he was entitled to the full amount. He said " Yes, legally I'm entitled to the money but morally it wouldn't be right," I was dumbfounded. I not only found a great defense attorney but one with morals. I'm just sorry I can only give him five stars. And his assistant Connie was someone I will never forget either. She really cared about me as a person. When I called the office to tell her and Aaron that I had received a call from the police and they were going to recommend the charges be dropped, we both started to cry. I was lucky to find a law firm with honest and caring people. I hope I never need him again but it's a great comfort knowing he's out there.
