Some time ago I lost my job, my apartment and my way of life. I was despondent and in debt that I could not pay. The creditors were calling and I had no answers it was beyond stressful. Every year Boston magazine publishes the results for top attorneys in Boston from different legal specialties, from business and criminal law to family and employment law. If there are top 100 attorneys; Edward Wayland would be voted as the top 10 WORST attorneys in Boston. I'm very grateful I had made the right decision to terminate him for ineffectiveness of his counsel. About few years ago, To today's day, I never regretted (terminating) firing Edward Wayland.
He almost ruined my life and my freedom. lack of communication, Failure to exercise diligence, ineffectiveness of his counsel, and Incompetence, Incompetence, and Incompetence. I'm in the process of filing a complaint against him to the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseer; Attorney and Consumer Assistance Program (ACAP), I think he should get his license suspended or revoked. (everything I stated here is true except for the top 10 worst attorneys).

Mark was referred to me by a friend after a former employee was seeking a large sum of money in a frivolous lawsuit. Mark thought we could beat the case in court but advised the additional legal costs and with the liberal legal system in Massachusetts it would be best to try to settle. We settled forwell less than a 1/3 of what the plaintiff was seeking. I really wanted to beat the case but I know Mark’s advice and experience with these types of cases it was in my best interest to settle. Mark was also very reassuring and always willing to take a phone call throughout the whole process.

For the past four and a half years, I worked with Mr. Reza Breakstone to obtain compensation for a car accident I was involved in as a pedestrian. Ughh, what a nightmare my life could have become, if I had not been fortunate enough to find Attorney Dakota Martin. I was wrongfully accused by the state for a crime I did not commit. Attorney Martin was beyond dedicated to ensuring I was not steamrolled by the state by clearly explaining the situation and tirelessly working to expedite a positive outcome in my case. Marc Breakstone provided more comfort and a peace of mind than I could have ever imagined. A little over a year ago, I was in a very serious taxi accident as a passenger- and almost 5 months pregnant. I was petrified for the health of my baby. I was completely overwhelmed with having to undergo a spinal fusion because my back was broken over several L sections. And I had an 11 month old at home that I could no longer take care of on my own. We had literally just bought a house 5 months before, and that accident literally caused my family's world to crumble. And if you are in a similar boat, you can relate- I have never felt so helpless and depressed, I needed to find a lawyer ASAP that I could trust with the well being and future security of my family. I was literally boggled of where to begin, as I have never been involved in a law suit before. And insurance contracts/ lingo/ etc was just so foreign to me. I found 4 lawyers total that I read reviews on from the internet OR was recommended by family friends. I found Marc on some Google search- and that made me a tad nervous because I am a little more "old school" than that. However, I called his office and after speaking to him directly ( which was literally about 5 min after I called, he returned my message )....I instantly felt at ease with him. There is something about his personality that is very direct, yet patient with explaining options/ the law/ advice. Marc was also willing to talk to my husband and a family friend who has legal background from another state trying to help me. So, I conservatively met with him and 3 other lawyers in person, and Marc was the only one I felt was both "down to earth" and at the same time extremely aggressive/passionate when it came to ensuring that my claim was heard properly by the parties concerned. We chose Marc to represent me, and I am SO HAPPY we did. Let me tell you this- If you want somebody that is approachable- choose Marc. If you want someone who will fight for you like he has known you for your whole life, choose Marc. And if you understand that you need someone who is that bit aggressive/confident in making his point, on your behalf, choose Marc. My husband felt that Marc would be a "lion in the ring " for us. Also, I want to add that I live in NYC...I was hit in MA during a weekend away. So I was nervous having the distance away from someone who is representing me. If by chance that is you- dont worry about it. Marc is literally so accessible. I also dont feel like I could write this review without mentioning- Christine Roberts. Marc's executive assistant is a rock star. She reflects his standards of extreme professionalism with a streak of warmth. I could keep writing about all the positive experiences I had along the way with Marc, but I will sum it up this way. A very hormonal pregnant woman, with a baby at home, was hit by a taxi and had to undergo a 7 hour spinal fusion surgery, learn how to walk again, and deal with the pain of the accident/surgery thoughout her pregnancy while accepting the fact she could no longer lift her one year old at home, bathe him, clean up after him etc. ** I am writing this review about one year from the accident and post settlement. I am still so incredibly emotional about that night and everything that happened....But I am still a bit proud that during this complete disaster and at times, what I honestly thought was depression and a breakdown mentally, I was still able to see that Marc would fight for me. And he did. And he will for you. He is just so passionate about his job...and you will come to see glimpses of his personal life that you know this is just a good guy. I look at my daughter now and I thank god for my neuro team, my OB team, and my lawyer. While my doctors really provided such wonderful physical care...Marc was really there as a rock- I let put all my anxiety on his shoulders and he delivered back a secure future. He will forever be part of our family story now.

I broke my ankle in December of 2013 eleven months after having knee replacement surgery. It was, fortunately, the other leg, but it was a bad break, in 2 areas, requiring surgery, hospitalization and a long recovery (14 weeks non weight bearing). It was awful, but the shining light in the whole ordeal was my lawyer, Ron Gluck who took care of everything from start to finish. It was clearly a case where the fault was the restaurant's where I had fallen. Ron negotiated with their insurance company on my behalf and I believe got the very best settlement for me without ever losing or compromising his integrity or mine. Travis has been very patient with our case for the over 3 years it took to bring to resolution. A complex case that included a class action piece that Travis identified early on, he gave the opposing counsel every opportunity to do the right thing but they weren’t capable of seeing that. She is incredibly intelligent and will work hard to fight for her clients but the best part of working with her is she is extremely personable and understanding. Today is the first time I have found the courage to publicly speak/ write of the multiple sexual assaults perpetrated against me by my own primary care provider. More importantly I wish to use this platform to publicly extend my lifelong gratitude to Attorney Stanley J. Spero, esquire, for giving me my voice, the courage to hold my doctor accountable and for his role in my one goal - the revocation of my doctor/ abusers medical license and in turn the opportiny to use his medical practice to harm another individual.
I say Stan returned my voice to me as the abuse had left me feeling numb, unheard and disbelieved and it was that one moment, in a public forum, he spoke everything my whole being wanted to scream- "provider sexual assault and misconduct are crimes and a betrayal of trust like no other".
My twenties are long behind me but so is the shame and fear and living on the fringes of not wanting to be the" one that rocked the boat". My hope is for all those who wish to make that first step, know that Stan will man the helm, guide you to port and drop anchor to safely bring you home.

I was extremely fortunate that I had found TELL, a website based help organization that provides support and guidance for victims of therapy abuse. They had given me Stan's name when inquiring about my options to handle the damages I sustained during therapy. Stan, took on my case, and guided me through the process every step of the way. He and his paralegal, Mayra, were always supportive and quick to answer my questions and concerns (of which I had many). Stan truly is an expert in the area of therapy abuse, he knows the system and what to expect! I had told Stan from day one that I would not sign a gag order no matter what the settlement offer. I'm sure there was much back and forth between the lawyers but in the end, Stan came through for me and we settled out of court in 13 months without signing a gag order (other than financial disclosure I am free to talk about my case). I could not ask for more. We also filed a complaint with the Board of psychology and are still waiting for the verdict. What I went through was horrific, but with Stan's help, I hope we have put a stop to another bad therapist from harming innocent victims. Stan and his staff were personal, professional, honest, detail oriented, and sensitive to what I had been through. I highly recommend them if you are in search of a lawyer who can handle therapy exploitation malpractice suits.
